I always wind up with two or more versions of a console, because someone is always getting rid of one dirt cheap or for free.

I actually have all the stuff to play Gamecube Four Swords with all the attachments because of this.

That and I can self boost multiplayer trophies.

Can confess that I have a literal box of Mega Drives (Genesis yanks) both version 1 and 2. I always seem to get them at car boot sales with job lots of games. The only useful thing about this is that my daughter who is rapidly becoming a retro game enthusiast wanted a Mega Drive in her room so she now proudly owns a candy pink and neon mega drive that goes with all her other stuff.

So yeah I guess I also confess to making a candy pink and neon Mega Drive 2.

Speaking of Metro 2033, I wouldn't have beaten if it I didn't find out on the internet that you could destroy the pods those explosive ball things grew from.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned.

I turn off the weapon degradation in System Shock 2 because it's retarded.

I found out my reaction time is not good enough for Dark Souls.

I occasionally buy games in Early Access if they look interesting enough.

I cheesed o&s by summoning solaire :(
I did the same thing with quelaag, who isn't even that hard.

Much as it's fun and all, I can't really get much into Doom 2016. Granted I'm just playing it on normal difficulty but I don't really stick to playing it for no longer than an hour or two compared to some other games. I do hope that when I get my hands on Doom Eternal, I can stay glued to my chair and play the game at a much longer time than with Doom 2016.

Play it on higher difficulties, you might get smoked at first. Take a couple of moments to learn how to survive around the groups without firing a shot, find out how close you can get and how you can herd them around. It will teach you spacing, spatial awareness and how and where you can move efficiently. Doom for me is knowing that I still have a pack of enemies behind my back and that in 1½ seconds I need to be teen feet away. No need to even look at them

The only console I own multiple versions of is the PS2, a launch day fatty and a slim.

I think that's the only time I've ever owned multiple versions of the same console, but I have had to rebuy a console, I gave up my original Xbox only to later buy another original Xbox in 2016.

Apparently I’m not alone, but I hate hearing people complain about frame rates, except in shmups and fighting games, because outside of VR I can’t really see a difference, until it drops below about 10.

Also, I hate the new Monster Hunter because I’m scared of change. and also because my eyes are bad at perceiving motion in games with lots of particle effects and textures. So I hate the pyreflies and ground textures. I hate that I can no longer tell what is and isn’t a mining outcropping.

And I spent 15 minutes of a hunt complaining to a friend about them changing the timing of when during the drink animation the healing effect procs, because I’m apparently a complete autist when it comes to Monster Hunter.

I suck at fpses. I'd say "especially on console" but the skill ceiling is so high on PC multiplayer I can't even be sure.

I've owned more 3DS'es than I care to admit, something with how I held it just fucking destroyed the hinges.

Battlefield 1942 is/was my favorite FPS based on World War II. Call of Duty and the likes don't do it for me.

Pokemon Platinum is/was my favorite Pokemon game, more so than the MUH NOSTALGIA Red/Blue/Yellow. Diamond and Pearl are still terrible, especially with the lack of Fire-types and slow speeds.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is better than Final Fantasy VII...

...Final Fantasy VII is average as a RPG. Soundtrack really saves it from being less.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance's story was refreshing, and reignited my interest in the series after MK4 turned me away.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is overrated. A Link to the Past, more or less, did much of what it did first...

...Link's Awakening has the best ending to a Zelda game. One word: Seagulls.

Super Mario 64 is a glorified tutorial for learning how to use the Nintendo 64 controller.

The Lost Vikings is Blizzard's best game.

I find it fun experimenting with ways in killing people's horses in RDR2 for some reason.

Everything from shotgunning their heads, lighting them up with cocktails to chucking knives at their bellies and cutting them I find hillarious. The most fun method is when I blow them up with dynamite arrows combined with the unlimited ammo cheat.

There was a tie in game for James Cameron's Avatar back on the PS3 and I played the shit out of that game's multiplayer.

When I play Mass Effect I've exclusively done the gay romances except the one time I woo'd Tali.

I play smash at a tournament level. I main Dedede.
