The first major trailer held a shot on a twinkish looking guy in the robes moaning about reunion. Maybe it was another pretty-boy.
Hasn't "reunion" been a thing since Advent Children, though?
Part 1 all but confirms Loz, Kadaj, and Yazoo do exist in this version, even if they're just these Whispers for now.

When you try to assess them, this comes up. "Entities from a future timeline that have manifested in the present day". Further text explicitly points out the weapons they use which correspond to the ones Loz, Kadaj, and Yazoo all used, too.

So yeah, it's probably them.
Fuckers will cheat me out of the 1-on-1 church fight with Tifa and that other guy. I know it. A very short but very sweet scene in AC.

It was a thing since the OG, so they shoved him into it thinking “it’s a natural fit.” The plot point isn’t new, his (possible) presence is.

*Victory fanfare plays.*
*He just gets back up and owns her anyway*
Good metaphor for that movie as a whole. And Nomura’s writing/influence since the female character with the most screentime is forbidden from directly affecting the plot.

Been playing Ever Crisis and holy shit it crashes so much. Extra annoying when I’m trying to grind.
I haven't had that many crashes. The game is very generous at saving your progress in story mode and a lot of missions if you're connection is interrupted. Mostly have issues from the frequent updates.

I really enjoy how young sephiroth is an earnest sweet kid. Apparently when you fight the adult sephiroth boss event going now, they had the nice touch of having him go full agro on his young self.

So either way, Cloud is still not getting together with Aerith?
I really love the idea in my head that cloud the second go around is subconsciously avoiding her because:

A he knows she's gonna die

B he's stealing his dead best friends girl.

So In my playthrough I had him go for tifa Everytime, because she's "safe" and was there for him fully in advent.

I think he loves them both, but I played it like he was afraid to commit to aerith and realized how much tifa actually matters to him.

In the universe where they remade the original without ever doing a compilation he probably would. But in this one the ZA and CT pairs are too accepted to be worth changing.

They’ll probably give them a nice send-off though since their tragedy did so much to sell the game initially, and they do follow the tropes common to the other FF couples way more.

Really? For me it happens a ton and lots of other people have the same issue regardless of their phone's age. I know it saves your progress whenever possible and I'm grateful for it, but that really doesn't make having to constantly reboot the app any less annoying.

Regarding Cloud and Aerith, I can't see it happening given Zack is alive this time around. I'm also more of a Cloud x Tifa fan myself and had him go for her in part 1.

The love triangle thing devolves into wikipedia brain stuff imo. It’s the opposite of how someone would organically relate to a story.

Part 1, even amid all the fluff, revolves around Cloud running into Aerith and getting closer to her. He already liked Tifa, and she won’t be dying soon, so there wasn’t really any point to developing their relationship way before it’s moment in the story.

So I pushed Cloud toward Aeris because tragedymaxing is the dynamic and less perfunctory option right now. While the alternative position takes for granted knowing how things shake out and that there is a backstory to eventually unspool. But also Part 1 can’t touch that backstory and its events so even that dry benefit lies inert.

And whaddaya know the special scenes for the girls happen before the party goes and gets Aeris back. Meaning it fits in as nicely as the OG gondola date with Aeris before Disc 1’s close.

Decided to give FF7R another go to get ready for the Reunion autism (How will that be shortened? FF7R-2?). This time I changed the language to Japanese and it makes the anime grunting more tolerable.

Also, gotta make sure I install the most important mod for the game:

I'm tempted to make a kewi clam when it comes out and go look for heartless in inappropriate places.
I want to beat Nomura to death with a smartphone! STOP PUTTING COOL, IMPORTANT LORE SHIT ON MY PORN DEVICE YOU JAP NIGGER!!!
..
..Seriously though actually looks pretty cool, and I enjoyed the last ios game, the issue is unless its Yugioh, FGO, or OP TC I just forget to keep up and then Im three years behind.. Fucking nigger jap! Also KH music is still to this day some of the best around, makes you hyped even for a gay ass gatcha game.

I only know her from the one FF14 song she sings, but it's still maddening that a single tweet can damage, even killing, your career. TTD

I've been playing FF7R and I just reached Wall Market. I'm still 'invested' enough to keep playing, but I have some that absolutely nothing I've seen has enhanced the game compared to the original. Everything just feels like filler designed to drag the game out. The only thing that seems to have been expanded on is Jessie, and who gives a fuck about her?

Yeah I hate FF7R. Got to the Aps fight and realized that I despised almost everything about the game. Only thing I can say I liked was the OST, but that's only because it's all remixes. I'm going to go shoot people in the dick in robocop now.

Hot take: The only enemy that's actually fun to fight is the shield trooper, because it's the only one that has actual tactile feedback to what you're doing.

God, its so satisfying to get one of the PCB boards with full auto and just blast away at the hip area on the mercs. You'll hit that sweet spot sooner or later. I did pretty much the whole game with the 3.x you get off of the wrecked 209 boss from the train yard. Zero penalties if you line things up right and a nice balance of boosts to everything, and has both full-auto and bonus AP as perks.

Expanding Jessie is the only addition to the plot that I didn't hate, everything else was filler at best or complete retarded dogshit
The only good part of Jessie is that it's the only other time we get to go to the top of Midgar. Jessie herself was cringe as all hell and I found her annoying.

I liked the remake but yeah the main issue is it feels like a metal gear game pacing wise. It's on rails and there's no freedom to explore the city. Which sucks. Honestly you'd get a decent chunk out of it if you just watched it as a movie or put it on easy. Because with normal it really felt tanky and like I was playing a real time mmo. I hate that feeling of wailing on something and not having it react. Still a thousand times better then 16 though.

The second one looks a lot better and it seems like they learned a lot of lessons from working on the first game. It looks like cloud and co will have a lot more of a moveset and the freedom to go nuts.
