I will post every DSP Meme and bit of Lore I know of and try to explain them to the best of my ability, this thread could prove useful to those who want to join the Mentally Ill Detractor Fellowship but have no idea what people are talking about when people keep saying "Lol he's a 220!"
If you have any memes or terms I missed, reply and write them down and I will edit them in the OP.
-----------------------------------------------
Snortex: Term used to describe the DSP Cinematic Universe. Snort = Because Phil snorts all the time, and Vortex = Phil has the strange ability to attract... special people that donate swathes of money to him everytime he's in dire financial straits.
The Fappening/The Burst/The Incident: The infamous day when DSP left his live stream webcam accidentally on, and recorded himself fapping. This would have ended anyone else's career, but Phil was lucky enough that you could only see his head, not his penis, on the webcam.
Phil at first denied, saying he was just scratching his leg. Then a few days later tried to play it off as something he did on purpose just to go viral. Nowadays, he only mentions the incident as something funny that he can use to gouge money out of dents.
"Oh, the camera was on the entire time, huh?": The infamous phrase that Phil said after he realized he had left his camera on during the fappening. You could see the absolute fear in his eyes.
Mentally Ill: This is how DSP described EvilAJ when the first TIHYDPs began to took off, detractors and dents alike now use this term to describe anyone that criticizes DSP.
Mouthdrooler: One of Phil's favorite insults. Funnily enough, he likes to use it mostly on his dents when they say something that offends him, so it might actually be quite accurate.
Nudnik: Another name Phil uses to insult his viewers.
"The Business": How Phil talks about his super serious, back-breaking streaming games at home job.
Valedictorian: Phil was a Valedictorian at his school. A fact that he's proud of and sometimes brings up to boast over other people. Detractors think that Phil's father had some kind of pull and managed to help his son to accomplish this.
Rainy Day Fund: A classic Phil-ism that he believes is that a Rainy Day Fund is when someone squirrels away money for a day of bad weather when the reality is setting aside any amount of money for a hardship.
BURNELL PRODUCTIONS(™): Phil considers his YouTube job so serious, he actually trademarked his channel under the name "Darksydephil/DSPGaming". He also named his house BURNELL PRODUCTIONS in the WA state dept. revenue site. To what purpose, no one knows. Probably just to place more importance on what he does, even though his job consists of doing what other people do to relax in their free time.
DSP is a Scrub: The precursor to TIHYDP, it was a series showing how bad Phil is at fighting games by editing clips of his various online matches or tournament showings. This series was not as popular as...
TIHYDP: This is How You Don't Play, the first type of video about DSP that went viral, and made DSP into the lolcow he is today. These videos consist of people editing his failures with any videogame into a compilation and sometimes even editing in skits or comments. These videos are not very common nowadays because Phil now plays every game on stream and has an army of dents handholding him (don't worry he still somehow manages to fail).
He also uses walkthroughs constantly now and tries to make the playthroughs as boring as possible to avoid TIHYDPs being made.
Phil also deletes every negative comment under his videos now so the hilarity factor of these videos is severely reduced.
The final nail in the coffin for these videos was the...
Wagequit: Detractor term to describe Phil ragequitting a game not because it's too hard, but because dents are not "supporting" it enough by giving him money. Modern Phil greediness knows no bounds, if he does not reach a goal of at least 100 or 150 bucks per stream, he WILL quit playing a game, effectively holding gameplay hostage especially if a dent really likes a game he's playing.
Note that he used to be more transparent about this, these days (after Asmongold told him to drop goals) he tries to pretend the goals don't exist anymore, but he will still quit the game if he does not reach his arbitrary number of donations.
DSP Tries It: DSP used this name for his food review series. You see one of them, you seen them all: The whole palette of Phail's food descriptive words : ROBUST, SALTY, FLAVORFUL, TANGY, SWEET and SAVOURY.
These are truly the bottom of tier content on Phil's channel, give him money and you get to watch him eat food. How thrilling. It's clear these are just a way for Phil to eat for free while monetizing the act.
Detractors took this name and used it for their videos exposing his lies, so Phil had to stop using this name because he would not show up on search results anymore. Phil still does food "reviews" today, they are just not called DSP Tries It anymore, and nowadays they are gated behind goals.
Gaming Journalist...: The successor of TIHYDP videos, these videos are exactly the same, but in short format, usually just containing one fail instead of a compilation of fails. Uploaded on YouTube, Tiktok and Instagram, detractors uploading these pretend that Phil is a gaming journalist, and because normies hate gaming journalists, these videos always go viral. Gaming Journalists are famous for being people that don't actually play games and are terrible at them, even when playing on Very Easy difficulty, so Phil actually fits this name to a T.
"Muh Legacy"/The Beggacy: When talking about the past (so basically every podcast/pre-stream/therapy session) Phil can't help but point out how he has a legacy to uphold, how he was one of the YouTube OGs, how people used to love him (debatable) and how detractors ruined him. Sometimes he even lies saying he was the creator of Let's Plays (the actual creators were the users of the SomethingAwful forums and Christian Weston Chandler was actually the first to record his Animal Crossing gameplay on YouTube) and how he inspired countless creators like Pewdiepie etc.
Detractors call it "Beggacy" because all he did in these past 15 years is just beg for money constantly and just be a grifter in general.
"Meaningful": Phil's favorite catchphrase when he has to explain why his content is better than other people's content.
Dent/Denthead: A term to describe the average Phil viewer that donates large swaths of money to him (aka whales). This term came into effect after DSP Detractors started doxxing Phil whales and realized 95% of them are autistic losers that donate their entire paychecks/social security money to Phil even if it results in them going bankrupt.
Denthead came from someone in either his Discord or chat named Madaraisgod (sp) talking about how they would get nosebleeds from the pressure on their brain caused by their deformed skull.
The term was born after detractors realized how flat the back of Phil's head is, so sometimes Phil is referred as "King Dent" too.
Dentractor: A detractor of DSP who is as dented/retarded as he is, be it because of their attempts to do things like Alog DSP or because they donate money to him to try and rile him up when you can do that for free.
Pigroach: Another name for Phil. This term came into be because these two animals are the best to describe Phil. Pig = Phil is disgusting and constantly burps and snorts, and eats slop. Roach = Phil never seems to face any consequences for his actions, he's survived things other creators got cancelled for, and everytime it seems like the end for him, he gets a new lucky break and gains new whales, hence the term "Roach".
Best Buy: Phil's first known job after university, a sales job working with business customers. He was fired for using employee discount on PS2s he was using in a tourney, the discount was only to be used on items for personal use (read: they wanted him gone and finally found a way to make it for-cause). Phil openly admits he did poorly at this job and blames it on Best Buy not supporting the program enough.
The Helicopter Company: Phil's alleged ex job at an helicopter company that he mentions constantly while being very proud of it. Detractors assume that this job was offered to him by his dad. He still got fired quickly from this job even with the nepotism buff. This became a meme only because Phil talks about it constantly even when it literally has no relevancy to the topic at hand.
Google Adsense: After being fired by the Helicopter Company, and before being managed by Blip.TV and Machinima, Phil used to monetize his content himself using Google Adsense. He got quickbanned from Adsense because he told his viewers to click on the ads. Adsense has a rule that you can't influence viewers like that. Of course, Phil said he got banned because of detractors even though he was totally at fault here.
Blip.TV: Phil used to upload videos here too in addition to YouTube. He got banned quickly after he decided it was a good idea to make racist jokes about killing Jews while playing Dead Space.
Machinima: The company that used to manage Phil's channel and pay him for the videos. After being banned from Blip. TV, he got a contract with Machinima and they monetized his videos for him.
He stayed with them years, with them paying him less and less as the years went by.
He eventually started using Machinima to flag and take down detractor videos, and when Phil became more trouble than he was worth, was eventually fired. Machinima went bankrupt and closed shop shortly after, DSP danced on their grave as usual.
Curse: The company that took Phil after he lost Machinima. Phil did not stay here for long, he actually got trolled by detractors, who had made a fake company that offered him a better contract, so Phil hastily left Curse. Until he got told by dents he got scammed so he left the fake company and again asked for Curse to take him back. Curse complied but he was eventually fired again. Nowadays Phil is allowed back on Adsense so he just monetizes his videos with no external company managing him.
Twitch: Phil started streaming on Twitch after losing all his partnerships. He had actually gained a huge following of whales, and made tons of money thanks to Twitch. However he kept breaking Twitch rules, first by uploading the streams on YouTube immediately, before the exclusivity period ended (you can't upload Twitch Streams on YouTube until 24 or 48 hours passed, but Phil wanted to double dip) and then by streaming at a higher than allowed bitrate. A Twitch mod decided to tell him to lower his bitrate, and Phil got offended so much by someone telling him what to do that he decided to leave Twitch immediately and lose all the whales he had gained, even though lowering his bitrate would have just lowered his quality very slightly. He then moved to streaming on YouTube but the whales he had gained did not follow him, losing him thousands of dollars. All of this could have been avoided hadn't Phil acted like a spoiled child.
Phil to this day refuses to return to Twitch until they will personally write an apology to him, which obviously will never happen, LMAO.
Algorithm: Phil loves to blame this for his downfall. If you search his name, detractor videos now show up instead. In the past, the algorithm used to prioritize views, so Phil would game the system by being the first to upload very poorly made (he recorded his TV with a camera, not even with direct capture!) playthroughs of popular new triple A game releases and splitting every video into twenty 10 minute parts. This ensured he would get tons and tons of day one views and his name would be at the top of search results.
Eventually YouTube fixed this exploit by prioritizing Watch Time instead of Views, so TIHYDPs and other detractor content rose at the top of the search results since people watched that for much longer since it was actually entertaining unlike Phil's slop. Eventually Phil bit the bullet and adapted to direct capture and improved the quality of his videos, but by then, it was way too late.
Phil also foolishily and lazily used fan art as a template for his streams, which meant detractors could hide memes (like the Hidden Tevin face on most fan art) and also copyright claim Phil videos for using other people 's art.
Phil, fearing for his channel deletion, had to private/delete tons of incriminating videos, ensuring he would lose millions of views and being buried forever by detractors in the search results.
The Chair Sponsorship: Another scam Phil fell for, a fake company asked him to sponsor gaming chairs. He would then make sponsor segments in every video that looked so fake and glazing these chairs so hard, he would look ridiculous. When Phil realized it was a scam and he never got paid, he said "Oh well at least i got a chair out of it!"
No sane company ever sponsored Phil, who would ever associate their name with such a toxic personality that constantly blames companies/game developers for his problems? Especially when he would slander your product/make it look bad at the first perceived slight.
The King of Hate: This is the name Phil chose for himself when he was in the FGC (Fighting Game Community). He said he called himself like this because King = He was one of the best players in the country (yeah right) and Of Hate = He was being hated unjustly by everyone (in reality he was hated in the FGC because he acted like an asshole to everyone, constantly started fights and then backed out when people wanted to beat the shit out of him, and was a sore loser in general).
Jaha should have finished the job:
Jaha is a famous Street Fighter player who one time actually responded to one of Phil's attempts to start a fight, and tried to beat up Phil in real life.
He said that Phil started cowering and crying, saying he was just depressed and under the effects of alcohol, and also proposed to Jaha to spare him and that they should just stage a fight instead.
Jaha, thinking all of this is too retarded and not wanting to look bad, stopped his attempt at violence against Phil.
To this day, detractors use this example to show Phil's cowardice and say "If Jaha had finished the job, maybe Phil would be less of a shithead now"
Phil is a born coward, always putting up a respecting front and wanting to be friends with people stronger/more successful than him, and talking shit about people that he deems weak/useless to him. Just watch his reaction everytime Keemstar shows up and you will see how much of a pussy Phil is.
4th Place: Phil one time attended a Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo tournament that used the PS1 port of the game, instead of the arcade port. Because that port is notorious for being a glitchy mess, no serious player attended the tournament, ensuring Phil could stomp the low level players and attaining the 4th Place. Since he was the only American Player to reach 4th place, and the first three spots were taken by Japanese players, he decided to call himself "The Best American Super Turbo Player" which made everyone in the FGC laugh at him.
To this day, Phil constantly recounts this story, and is very proud of this "achievement", saying this to prove how good he is at fighting games and also to defend his honor everytime he gets his ass beaten in newer, modern fighting games.
Tophaters: Phil's own FGC forum, he created this because he thought he could do a better job at managing tournaments at EVO than the people in charge.
These forums are a fun insight into Phil's past, but offer little value otherwise, since they were abandoned fairly quickly.
You can still find them up at https://tophaters.proboards.com/
Shoryuken: A major, possibly the largest, FGC forum. Phil's behavior made him extremely unpopular on this site and ultimately got him banned. The site admins/owners were named the Cannon brothers, and Phil holds a grudge against them to this day.
Edward Snowden of the FGC: Phil's title for himself after he 'proved' Street Fighter V was terrible and the entire FGC was in a conspiracy to cover it up. Much of this 'proof' amounted to not playing like Street Fighter II and the online not working the way he wanted.
WhoaMoses: Before he used DarksydePhil/DSP, WhoaMoses was the online handle he'd go by.
Monkeyspank: One of the nicknames other FGC members had for him, comes from the fact that he got caught jacking it in hotel rooms back in the FGC days.
DownSyndromePhil/DickSuckingPussy: Some other nicknames that FGC members had for him back in the day.
Dave: When detractors discovered Phil's Dad name was Dave, the detractor streamer AlmightyTevin started using this name to call Phil. For some bizzarre reason, Phil was really offended by this even though this is the tamest name people ever referred him by, so detractors started calling him this out of spite.
220: A detractor named BroSydePhil interviewed a female cop that frequently dealt with DSP, and the female cop called DSP "a 220". After some research, apparently this code refers to callers that are considered "crazy" "bothersome" and a "pain in the ass" by the police. Phil got so offended by this, he will ban even someone that has the number 220 in his username.
"IT'S THE GUY!": One day Phil was streaming a multiplayer game, some randoms recognized him and started shouting "OH MY GOD IT'S THE GUY" "YOU KNOW, THE ONE THAT MASTURBATED IN FRONT OF CHILDREN". Phil's reaction to this was so funny that now people sometimes just call Phil "The Guy"
Scopely: The company that developed the slop gacha game Phil is addicted to, WWE Champions. Safe to say these guys are the real winners of the Snortex and they are funding their children education thanks to Phil.
Hogan Pulls: Phil's favorite activity after a day of back breaking streaming labor. Term used to refer to Phil wasting all the money he just farmed from the dents on wrestler JPEGS in WWE Champions.
WWE Champions: Phil has always begged for money since he got on the internet, sometimes saying he would lose his house if he didn't receive it. But people, suspicious of him crying dire straits even after receiving thousands of dollars, found out some posts from him under the username "TheyCallMeDSP" (yes he used the same username he uses on Twitter, this guy intelligence level i swear...) in various gacha game forums, like WWE Supercard and DB Dokkan Battle, so his gacha addiction got exposed. Eventually, detractors also found a TheyCallMeDSP account in a game called WWE Champions, and after a detractor used a loophole to obtain DSP bank transaction history, detractors confirmed that Phil wastes all the money he receives from dents on gacha slop games, and WWE Champions is his #1 game. So much for paying taxes...
Bank Leaks: A detractor used a loophole in Phil's security measures, and called Phil's bank, being able to record a voice listing all DSP transactions. This exposed years of lies. He said he needed money for taxes instead he wastes all of his paycheck everyday on alcohol and gacha. Saying anything about this in his chat results in a swift ban, can't let the dents figure out where their money goes towards! (Most of them already know, they just don't care, yes that's how retarded they are).
Bankruptcy: Because of Phil wasting upwards of 200k on gacha and alcohol, he officially underwent bankruptcy in 2020. He managed to obtain a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which meant he got absolved of most of his debts. He only managed to get off easy because the government was preoccupied with COVID at the time, plus the investigator of the call, Nancy, was a boomer who had no idea what gaming is, so she just let Phil claim everything as a business expense.
One of the funniest moments was when detractors hijacked the call, one of them pretending to be a creditor and putting Phil under the knife, and another playing DSP clips during the recording, which actually made Nancy chuckle.
You could see Phil voice tremble with fear when he got asked what WWE Network is. He was really very afraid of them discovering WWE Champions.
TheGunShow84: The second name that Phil switched to in WWE Champions, changing it again shortly after into...
DownFromTheRafters: The final account name that Phil switched to on WWE Champions, his original name being "TheyCallMeDSP" (which is something that usually can't be done, you can't change your name but Phil must have used his whale status to ask Scopely to bend the rules for him) and it led to one of the greatest eye bulging corner demon moments of Phil's streaming when someone sent a superchat featuring that name. Phil tried to play it off cool saying "I'm down from the... rafters? What does that mean? Must be another detractor meme" but it was obvious he knew and it terrified him that detractors had discovered about his name change immediately. Phil still denies being DownFromTheRafters to this day, either by saying he sold his account and the new owner changed the name from "DSPGaming" to "DownFromTheRafters" or by saying he never had an account in the first place. This is obviously a lie since DownFromTheRafters retained all the wrestlers and factions that DSPGaming had, and the play time schedule of this account matches perfectly with Phil's stream schedule.
Corner Demons: A term used mostly by the "That Being Said" detractor podcast which refers to when Phil is blatantly lying or doing damage control, he'll do this Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecter eye bulge and look from corner to corner on his camera feed. If you ever played the game L.A. Noire, basically the same thing the male characters in that game did to show the player they were lying.
He uses to look at the corner of the screen even during dead air. It's part of his alien behaviour, looking randomly in the corner to keep the demons out.
Another tell for his lies are the ear twitching and the seat shaking.
Swaying/T-Pose: One day, Phil recorded a VLOG where you could see his reflection from one of the windows in his house. From the reflection, you could see that Phil has a nervous tick: he cannot stand still. While sitting, he shakes his legs and his chair constantly, and while standing he constantly sways back and forth and sometimes he even moves his arms in bizzarre ways, emulating the famous pose in gaming, the T-pose, used by characters during game development. No one knows why, it could be a side effect of Phil's constant nervousness due to lying, or damage from years of alcohol abuse.
*Leans in*: A term that refers to Phil banning anyone that has the slighest criticism in his chat. Because in his old streams, when he needed to ban someone/look at chat, he needed to lean in the opposite direction to look at his other monitor, since his streaming setup was a mess.
Pandalee: DSP's former girlfriend. She was very controversial among Phil's fans, since she was very aggressive and constantly mocked the dents. Her voice was also quite annoying. She did seem to genuinely love Phil at first, but after years of abuse, no-sex and after finding a job and realizing how much better the outside world was, she eventually left after Phil refused to put a ring on her. Mentioning her or any username with "Panda" or "Lee" results in an instant ban in Phil's North Korea chat.
"Pandalee is not asian. That's all!": When Phil introduced Pandalee to his viewers, he got asked if she was asian since she had slightly asian features. For some reason, Phil got offended by this and he added a caption to the video that said this. The way he said it was very funny so it became a detractor meme to refer to Pandalee as asian.
Daughter: Since Pandalee was only 17 or 18 when she met Phil, and Phil was already 30, detractors liked to joke about Pandalee being Phil's daughter. One famous clip was a detractor playing an online game together with Phil, and then asking Phil the question "So, I meant to ask you... Can I go out with your daughter Pandalee?" which infuriated Phil and made him ragequit the game.
The Sims: Pandalee's favorite game. According to Phil, she would spend the entire day playing it and not help much, if at all, doing housechores.
Hospital Incident: An incident that happened shortly before the breakup between DSP and Pandalee, and was the breaking point of the relationship.
Panda, one day, while at work, got a panic attack and was sent to an hospital. Phil was called immediately to offer assistance, and had to stop his stream.
When Phil returned to his stream, he explained the situation. Not realizing how bad this made him look, he said that he told the nurse there "Next time, just give her a pill!"
He also complained about the sandwiches in the hospital tasting terribly, and complained about having to pay the expensive bill at the end.
Panda, at that moment, probably finally realized the truth: that Phil never cared for her and this was the final straw, leading to the breakup.
This moment became a detractor meme because Phil's retelling of the events is so out of touch with reality that it became funny.
Snort Korea: A term referring to Phil's stream chat, where he bans anyone that does not kiss his ass constantly, and no one has free speech. Sometimes even very innocent questions result in the banhammer, anything that touches his very fragile ego.
Freedom Chat: A term that talks about any detractor chat, usually a restreamer's chat like Raw Phil. Obviously named like this because in detractor chats you actually have free speech.
John Rambo/Howard: Phil's old friends. Some of the only people that genuinely liked Phil and did collabs with him, but he eventually made them leave, burning his only real friendship.
Phil ignored everyone asking about them but one day he finally answered the detractors asking about them, stating "that he doesn't know what he did wrong" and that Rambo should come forward if he wants to reconcile. Phil also leaked John Rambo private phone messages on his stream. John Rambo and Howard, furious, recorded a two hour voice recording talking about everything that caused the fallout. Reasons include: 1) Phil only calling over his friends for recordings but refusing to pay for their friends fuel. 2) Phil drunkenly calling them at 1am to vent. 3) Phil pocketing the money that should have gone to the team making Project7, and using it to buy a BMW. Resulting in no one but Phil getting paid.
T: A friend of John Rambo, Howard and DSP. He apparently died in a shooting, which prompted DSP to make a VLOG crying crocodile tears (seriously it was the fakest shit ever) and monetizing his death, which infuriated Rambo and Howard.
Detractors like to joke about Phil being T's murderer.
Project7: A machinima/show on YouTube created by DSP, John Rambo and Howard. The plot is as follows: DSP is an elite gamer but his gaming powers got stolen by notorious troll Deathface. Now he must go through seven worlds to reclaim his gaming skill!
Yes, it's just the plot of a Mario game.
This series is very low quality, with terrible jokes and it makes the Nostalgia Critic movies look like masterpieces. The series eventually got cancelled because Phil pocketed all the money for himself, not paying the team.
One day Phil said he would reboot the series and started a Patreon to collect funds. He actually made a ton of money out of fans wanting to see Project7 brought back to life, but Phil, as usual, pocketed the money, stating "It was not in the stars, Project7 was not meant to happen I guess!".
Nowadays Phil tries to pretend as much as possible that Project7 does not exist.
Deathface: A troll character made up by DSP, meant to represent every troll that unjustly hates DSP. This character was DSP wearing a Ghostface costume, and was used as the villain of Project7, and also used in tons of his "Holiday Specials" to represent trolls. Before Phil became famous on YouTube, he also had a fake account for Deathface where he left negative comments on his own videos, to what purpose, no one knows. Maybe to give fuel to his victim complex since back then no one trolled him because he was too obscure.
"In China they say chiki chang charlie chan lol shut the fuck up!": While playing Metal Gear Solid, DSP made this joke to mock the chinese proverbs spoken by the character Mei Ling. This clip is now used by detractors to highlight how racist Phil is.
"This is what happens when you let the Jews do whatever they want!": Another infamous racist moment, when DSP played Dead Space while streaming on Blip.TV, he started making insanely racist jokes, roleplaying as the last nazi killing the jews (the necromorphs) in space. This clip was so infamous it got Phil quickbanned from Blip.TV. Phil of course, blamed everyone but himself. Years later, he defended himself saying he was trying to channel Howard Stern's humor.
Gout: One day, Phil had a slight foot ache. Probably not even visiting a doctor, he autodiagnosed himself Gout, and told everyone about it. Detractors started mocking him for it, even though he probably never had it in the first place. Phil never mentioned having foot issues ever again. Gout is still a banned word on his chat to this day.
Jasper: Phil's cat. Loved by detractors and dents alike, Jasper is considered a poor victim of Phil. Jasper was first unveiled after Phil kept saying he would reveal a surprise if he got 2k in donations. Detractors called it immediately that it was an animal like a dog or cat, Phil denied but when he raised the 2k he revealed Jasper, so in the end, the detractors were right and Phil was lying as usual.
Jasper is declawed, probably at Phil's request, because Phil does not actually care about Jasper, he only uses him to scam money out of the dents, and does not actually want Jasper to cause any damage.
Phil revealed multiple times that when he goes to sleep, he locks Jasper inside a room without his litter box, showing his disregard for any life that is not his own once again.
Jasper is considered an inside detractor by the community, since his hijinks always cause Phil to accidentally reveal critical information, like when Jasper accidentally made Phil capture on camera his phone while it was on the main menu of WWE Champions, confirming his addiction for the first time to detractors.
Escort Saga: After being dumped by Pandalee, a few months later, someone took a photo of Phil hanging out with a redhead at a shopping mall.
A ween came to the Farms and posted a thread, saying that Phil had hired a escort to pretend to be his new girlfriend.
Eventually, it was revealed to be a hoax. The redhead was not an escort, it was a woman named Katherine, who was a Phil's fan, just like Panda was, that decided to hook up with Phil. Phil always says that detractor theories are bullshit now by quoting the Escort Saga Incident.
Kat/Khet: DSP's rebound girlfriend after being dumped by Panda. When he showed her to his viewers, she looked like she was being held hostage. It was very obvious that Khet did not like being on camera with Phil, and it is debatable whether or not she actually loves Phil.
Most people seem to think she just used Phil as a meal ticket, since she comes from an abusive home and lived in poverty most of her life.
Phil, not wanting to do the same mistake he did with Panda, married Kat almost immediately, using his dents money to do so, and lying about the purpose of the money being raised, when questioned he said "I needed to do it to protect my new family!"
A man named Subaruman eventually approached the farms, claiming that Kat used to be his girlfriend, but he found out that she was chatting DSP and cheating on him, and dumped her.
It is clear it is a marriage of convenience, Kat seems to not be able to stand being around DSP for very long, so she only uses him to get free food and a place to stay, meanwhile DSP uses Kat to show that he's a mature adult with a wife and lord her over his dents. It worked at first, until people found out that Kat became insanely fat so now even dents don't care about it.
Kat also seems very aggressive and jealous, so jokes about Phil being beaten by his wife are common among detractors.
Skyrim: Just like Pandalee had Sims, Kat has Skyrim, her favorite game, that apparently she spends the entire day playing in her room, while trying to completely ignore Phil whenever possible. Truly a marriage born out of love.
Also according to Phil, she does not use mods, how can someone enjoy unmodded Skyrim for this many years?!
Swimsuit Model Wife: Phil used to brag about how hot Khet was, before people found out how fat she became. Now detractors use this term to mock DSP everytime he talks about his wife.
Hair Tricks: A video Kat did with Subaruman where she shows her hair moving with the wind while the car moves around town.
Horse: A name used to mock Kat's appareance, given her very pronounced front teeth.
Khet Breaking Stuff: A meme that spawned because everytime something would break in the Burnell household, like an appliance or an item, Phil would say that Khet broke it. Yes, he blames her just to protect his ego, even if the viewers could see that this is plainly untrue, because he would say this even for items that we could see Phil break live on stream. Not realizing that this also makes him look bad, not only because it makes it look like he doesn't care about Khet, but also because people now think that he married a clumsy retard that can't do anything without causing damage.
Jenna Snow: Kat's half-sister and by extension Phil's half sister in law. She and Kat have not spoken in over a decade, but being a human dumpster fire has given her a well deserved place in the Snortex regardless - at various times she has been a hooker, lived in a van, gotten arrested, gone to rehab, done OnlyFans, taken heavy drugs and gone on unhinged rants. Her most (in)famous moment in Snortex lore came in late 2021 when a Kiwi hooked up with her and posted an after action report. Link here: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/kat-speculation.46010/page-260#post-10457420
Demonic Possession: Detractors found out that Kat's mom was insane and tried to exorcise her. So they kept spamming this phrase in Phil's chat, most famously during the Halloween Stream where Khet wore a ridiculous Steampunk Raccoon costume, caked up in so much makeup it reached her eyes, long story short the plan was for her to stay the whole stream but she bounced after like an hour after people were asking Phil what his favorite demonic possession movie was. Kat looked very distraught by this, and after that, she left the stream and never returned on Phil's channel unless on very rare occasions.
Phil complained "My wife is crying downstairs!" after saying he could not make her stream with him anymore. The phrase "My wife is crying downstairs!" became a popular detractor meme said everytime Phil seems worried about something.
Soul Maid: Phil always calls Kat his "soulmate". Since detractors know that this marriage is just a hoax, and Phil just keeps Kat around to look good to dents, detractors changed it to "Soulmaid". Even though Khet probably has never done an housechore in her life since they doordash everything so this name is slightly inaccurate.
My Mom: Phil accidentally called his wife his mother quite a few times. Which reveals just how much of a manchild Phil is.
Mature Adult: How Phil describes himself after getting married. According to Phil, just having a wife is a lifegoal that turns you into a life guru that people should listen and borrow wisdom from.
Mature Adult (with a Business Degree)/Serious Adult House: Phil refers to himself as a 'mature adult' and uses his business degree (it is unclear if he ever got a job that required it) as proof of it. He will even claim this, without a hint of irony, in faded gamer t-shirts and Zelda PJs. In the same vein, he will refer to his house as the 'Serious Adult House'.
My Family: Phil's favorite scapegoat to protect his ego. Everytime he lies, he says he needs to protect his "family". Sometimes even referring to Jasper, a fucking cat, as his son.
"I get laid by my wife": Everytime there's an attractive character on screen, or someone asks Phil "Would you bang her if given the chance", Phil's answer is: "I don't need to... I get laid with my wife!". Ever since he got married, Phil went from lusting after every woman on screen, to being terrified and pretending he's a monk above these earthly impulses.
Subaruman said that Kat is very jealous, aggressive and possessive, so detractors speculate that Phil is actually a doormat and afraid of Khet's reaction.
"Gym": Phil mentioned very often how Kat would go workout at the Gym. Since she got fat, detractors started joking that the "Gym" is an excuse to leave the "Snort Fort" to go get plowed by Tyrone.
Tyrone: Since Phil is very racist and also seems to have a primal fear of black people (see "Nail Biting" entry), detractors like to joke about Kat cheating on Phil with Tyrone, since according to Pandalee, Phil almost never initiated sex.
Sometimes Tyrone is replaced with another black guy, like Tevin or LowerTierGod.
Snort Fort: Another name to describe Phil's house.
"It comes in denim!": During a Donkey Kong game stream, Phil started singing a song about bananas. The song ending words sounded like "It comes in denim!". Realizing after the fact that this sounds gay as fuck, Phil started denying he said this, saying the song ended with "It comes in nana!". Phil gets extremely pissed if you mention this, and will ban people very quickly for any meme about bananas or denim.
Yellow Paint: A phrase used to describe the dumbing down of Triple A Games, which coincided with a now infamous clip of Santa Monica Studios using Phil as the test audience to balance God of War's level design and difficulty.
As such, detractors use the word Yellow Paint (because many modern games use the yellow color/actual yellow paint to highlight interactables now) to describe the terrible effect that Phil's playthroughs had on the gaming industry, blaming Phil's inability and lack of skill as the cause for the dumbing down of all of gaming in general.
The Infamous God of War Level Design Video
Gin: DSP's favorite alcoholic beverage. Detractors also joke about him "Gin Tweeting" since he very often gets drunk at 2 or 3am and then starts posting dumb shit on Twitter, prompting people to tell him to go to sleep.
"I did nothing wrong, i did everything correct!": The phrase (or a variation of this) that Phil usually says after failing in a videogame. Blaming everyone (usually the developers, his opponent if it's a fighting game or the dents handholding him) except himself.
Sandwich Shop: For some reason, everytime Phil has to describe something/complaining about lack of support to the dents, he likes to use this analogy. "Imagine you had a Sandwich Shop..."
Detractors copied this and now use it too.
Support/Engagement: The phrase Phil says when he wants to beg for money without making it too obvious... Usually preceded by...
"Now, guise...!": What Phil usually says when he wants to give an order to the dents, or before rallying the dents to issue a...
Shareholder/Business Meeting: What detractors started calling the usual segment of Phil complaining about a lack of support on stream and then blaming the dents, whipping them to get them to fork the money.
Therapy Session/Copecast: What detractors started calling the daily podcast/pre-stream segment where Phil airs his dirty laundry/complains about his life/trolls for 2 hours before starting gameplay.
Secret Discord: For years Phil had denied using or having any sort of account on Discord, it was eventually revealed and leaked by one of his former mods (who to the surprise of noone was a furfag sexpest diaperfur fetishist) that not only did he have a Discord but it was basically his equivalent to Hitler's bunker where he and his inner circle of mods would report back the goings on of chat members, like if they were seen in other peoples streams such as Boogie or Wings, it even shows how much of a control freak Phil is by doing the same shit he does in stream on his day off with his "gee is sure is quiet around here why isn't anyone talking?".
Tumbleweed Forums: Phil's old forum (TheKingofHateForums) that was run by some of his most devoted of dents. Most famous of all, KGHaleon, a furry horse porn addict that would defend Phil no matter what he did. KG would even donate money to Phil for the Project7 reboot, and would defend Phil even after he pocketed the money and cancelled Project7. He became the first well know denthead, being compared to a battered housewife that would forgive DSP for everything.
Another funny thing KGhaleon did was go to Japan and chronicle his entire journey on the forums, eventually saying he was swindled out of his money by an asian hooker. Just like he used to get swindled daily by DSP. Eventually KG would get bored with Phil and move on, no one knows what he's up to these days.
These forums were called Tumbleweed forums by detractors because no one would ever write here, so it was mostly dentheads talking to themselves, and because there was no free speech, just like his Stream Chat, no one but trolls and sock accounts would post here.
The forums eventually died when Phil decided to stop paying for the servers since it had become redundant and empty, replacing it with the Secret Discord and the Stream Chat.
The Wolverine Doll: Probably the patient zero of stories that shows that even in his pre-teens Phil was a scumbag narcissist, the story goes as thus: Phil saw a super special limited edition X-Men Wolverine action figure that he wanted for his birthday but his birthday was months out and his parents said no, fast forward to Piggy's Special Day and the local comics store didn't have his super special doll anymore and this led to Phil's rant about how parents are fucking idiots for not giving their kids the guarantee of a special toy.
Oh and it also showed how he didn't really want it, he only wanted it because it was special so he could lord it over his classmates, because they got him the second run of it eventually but what good is that when he couldn't flaunt it in front of the poor kids at school or ensure the neckbeard incel consoomers didn't get one.
Sons of Kojima/FredFuchs: The Sons of Kojima were the first big group of DSP Detractors, and the first ones who had their own podcast talking about the Snortex. FredFuchs was their leader. The Sons of Kojima name derived from Phil's hate of Hideo Kojima, since the Metal Gear Solid games were the games that led to the creation of TIHYDP.
The Sons of Kojima videos became very popular amongst detractors, especially for the podcast that kept track of DSP shenanigans, and their hilarious reactions videos to TIHYDPs.
The group eventually died because the leader, FredFuchs, was discovered to be just as much of a control freak as DSP, he would try to police over the detractor community and have a secret discord where he would keep track and try to punish detractors that did not agree with his rules. For example, one of his rules was: detractors should not monetize their videos, and he would send false copyright strikes to take down anyone that did not comply with his rules.
When he got exposed, the rest of the Sons of Kojima members turned their backs on him, and the detractor community was so angry at FredFuchs, that FredFuchs decided to make his exit, leaving the internet forever and leading to the death of the group.
The Swatting: When swatting was a popular form of trolling on YouTube, Phil kept prodding the needle by provoking his trolls into doing it to him too. It finally happened while he was streaming on June 23, 2015.
It was the most boring swatting ever, nothing happened, the cops just asked to enter Phil's home and commented on him having "lots of gamer shit". But Phil, to play the victim and make some bucks out of what had happened, pretended he almost got shot and made a bunch of drama about it.
It was eventually confirmed the swatting was orchestrated by FredFuchs, leader of the Sons of Kojima.
Side Scrollers: A gaming/entertainment podcast hosted by Stuttering Craig that's been around for 20 years. They would eventually interview Phil on March 16th, 2023 for five hours, with Keemstar himself making an appearance. They would press Phil about his WWE Champions scandal, the bank leaks and other things.
This is a favorite moment in DSP history among detractors, considering the hosts of Side Scrollers had no idea who Phil was, but as they interviewed Phil, they peeled off the layers from Phil's lies and discovered for themselves just want kind of asshole Phil is. Even if they did not want to believe detractor memes, Phil unwillingly confirmed them.
The most famous moment is when Craig caught Phil lying and Phil replied "So what? A lie is still an answer", confirming for everyone that Phil is a pathological liar.
Eventually Craig gave Phil an ultimatum... Show us your WWE Champion account on your phone, even in private if needed, if you do, we will forgive you.
Phil refused the kind offer, saying he could not do it and using the usual excuse "I have to protect my family", this turned Craig from a possible DSP ally into a lifelong detractor.
At first, Phil did not realize how badly the interview made him look, saying it was a positive experience and hoping to rejoin Side Scrollers for future projects. Dents told him about Craig being angry with Phil, and so this interview ended up breaking Phil, and he would go on to seethe about it on his streams and talk shit about Craig after the fact. Eventually, they would both start up a call which ended in disaster with the two going back and forth and throwing jabs at each other, with Phil eventually being unable to handle the pressure and folding and closing the call on Craig's face.
The Original Interview
Truthseekers: Show hosted by Steve Cambian which mostly focuses on conspiracies among other topics. He would later go on to interview Phil almost 2 years after his run-in with the Side Scrollers. BroSydePhil appeared as a guest and confronted Phil about his bank leaks as well as him being labelled as a "Code 220". This interview, just like the last one, ended in disaster for Phillip.
Steve Cambian Interview
Kino Casino: Show hosted by Andy Warski and PPP (called Triple P by Phil). They cover and talk about various lolcows on their show, eventually setting their sights on Phil.
They first tried to befriend Phil, gassing him up and inflating his ego. But when they realized that Phil is a charisma vacuum, and that all the collabs he proposed were absolutely retarded, they decided to just trick him into being their circus clown for some easy content.
Every show with Phil on would always end up becoming this: PPP throwing jabs at Phil or his wife, and Phil either being too stupid to realize, or being too much of a pussy to react. Or sometimes Phil would refuse to react and make excuses, since thanks to the Casino, he was making an insane amount of money.
Eventually, PPP made jokes about Phil's wife being fat, and Phil, probably terrified of Khet finding out, lashed out at PPP, which made him get kicked out of the Show.
This is the event that probably broke Phil the most, since the Kino Casino hurt him at his most vulnerable: his need for powerful friends that would make him thousands of dollars.
Ever since the fallout, Phil became more deranged and reckless, begging with even less shame than before and now implementing the Wagequit, where he literally holds gameplay hostage until people give him money. He probably got this idea from PPP being very forthcoming when asking for donations, except PPP does it as a joke, Phil is serious.
When PPP threatened to leak Phil's DM's if he did not apologize to the Kino Casino, Phil himself decided to leak them first. These DM's painted a very telling picture: Phil will never be able to keep friends, because just like Rambo said, he just uses people for his own gain, and will lie constantly to that end, even saying that Khet had cancer.
The Kino Casino Arc
Kingsnake: Phil described himself as the Kingsnake, a snake that sneaks upon unsuspecting prey and swallows them whole, as an analogy of him tricking the Kino Casino. This became a detractor meme because it was very obvious that it was the opposite... Kino Casino had tricked Phil into being their circus clown for months!
ReviewTechUSA: Another lolcow that shares similarities with Phil, but seems to be more self aware. Phil, knowing that RTU is also an enemy of the KC, tried to do a stream with him, using the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" tactic to recruit RTU on his side against the battle with the Kino Casino.
Phil called himself a Kingsnake and implied he had tricked the Casino to make money. Even RTU was able to tell that it was complete bullshit, and started blasting Phil live. Phil, not being able to handle the failure of his plan, decided to lie and say that his viewers could not stand RTU (in reality all of Phil viewers were on RTU's side) and then kicked him off the call.
The Infamous DSP Kingsnake Stream
Asmongold: A former World of Warcraft player who became one of the most popular YouTubers on the platform thanks to his mean spirited humor and reacting to news.
He would sometimes react to DSP Detractor clips and make fun of Phil, which prompted Phil to bait Asmongold by insulting him on Twitter.
Somehow, this worked, and Asmongold decided to actually interview Phil on his show.
Cue one of the most boring interviews Phil ever had, with Asmongold just listening to Phil pre-stream ramblings while offering nothing of value, and Phil using twitter takes on gaming hot topics to win Asmongold over. The interview, while boring as sin, was a definite success. Phil gained an insane amount of new viewers and whales, which is to be expected after being shouted out by one of the most popular streamers ever.
This prompted Phil to spawn a new hilarious meme...
Asmongold Interview
"Welcome Home!": Phil says this everytime he has a bunch of new viewers, like when he first played GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition (he probably thought people liked his GTA playthroughs and that GTA was synominous with his name, which is probably true but more because of the incredible TIHYDPs that were spawned from his shitty gameplay ["I never failed the mission!"]) but its most famous use was after welcoming all the new viewers from Asmongold on his stream. This phrase is funny as fuck for two reasons:
1) Welcome Home implies he thinks all these new viewers are people that would have been his fans in the past, but wouldn't give him a chance now because of his infamy.
2) All the new viewers left after a couple of months, after realizing that Phil is insanely boring, and went back to Asmongold.
Yes, somehow, even after being shouted out by THE MOST POPULAR STREAMER ON THE PLATFORM, the viewer buff he got only lasted a month.
The only people left were dentheads that made sock puppet accounts, larping/pretending to be Asmongold fans.
This was another massive blow to Phil's psyche, and now Welcome Home is one of the favorite memes in the detractor community.
Phil is, to this day, desperate to try to get back on Asmongold show and try to leech viewers from him again. Will it happen or will Asmongold ignore him? Who knows.
Lag/Missed Inputs/Bugs/Glitches/Whatever: Insert one of these whenever Phil fails at a game. The ego must protected at any cost. It's the games fault, he did everything correct!
You know it's bullshit because sometimes he uses the lag excuse even when playing single player games. He also refuses to use the "Show Inputs" option in fighting games because it would expose him.
Rollback Netcode:
Phil has an issue with Rollback Netcode, even though it's much better than the Netcode games used in the past. Rollback Netcode and the Cannon brothers who created it are the favorite scapegoats of Phil when he has to explain to the dents why he's still failing in games that should have almost zero lag thanks to Rollback.
Nail Biting: Phil gained a new quirk. In the past, he was able to do racist jokes as soon as an asian or black character was on screen.
In the modern era, Phil is terrified of being cancelled, but still gets the impulse to make jokes, so to stop himself, he bites his nails. Everytime a black character appears on screen, you can see he tries his darnedest to not say anything and starts chomping at his nails!
Stationaries: This is about how Phil said "Stationary Nigger" during his Returnal gameplay (then literally seconds later denied it) and Phil's long history of non-PC comments about blacks and strange behavior whenever they were on the screen (like the nail biting) yet at the same time the homosexual subtext when he saw them (The Street Fighter 6 character creation "Oh" comment when he saw the muscular man is an example.).
It's often used in the detractor sphere as a slang for black people.
Edit: In a Q&A when talking about his favorite pornstars, Phil only mentioned black male performers too.
"It's Tevin Fault!": There was a period of time when Phil would blame all of his troubles with detractors on AlmightyTevin, a popular black detractor that restreams and reacts to Phil's content. Tevin would also make jokes about DSP wife constantly so Phil would blame Tevin for not being able to make Khet stream with him, too!
The most famous use of it was the Halloween Stream where Khet wore a ridiculous Steampunk Raccoon costume, caked up in so much makeup it reached her eyes, long story short the plan was for her to stay the whole stream but she bounced after like an hour after people were asking Phil what his favorite demonic possession movie was.
The Khando:
How detractors call the original home of Phil, where he lived before he moved in Seattle, Washington.
It's a condo in Connecticut.
Even after moving to Seattle, Phil kept ownership of this condo for years, but he never visited nor did any repairs on it, leading to it depreciating in value. He also paid the minimum he could on the mortgage, which eventually led the bank to put the condo in foreclosure, causing Phil to lose thousands of dollars just because he was too lazy to either upkeep maintenance or sell the damn thing.
Addendum: The truth is different and funnier - a few months after Phil moved in, the Connectikhando depreciated by about $65,000 due to people in another unit burning a hole in the roof. The value was + or - constant until after he filed for bankruptcy, at which point the Covid-induced real estate boom resulted in $40,000 of appreciation and brought the property back above water. He could have sold it outright and avoided a bankruptcy on his record if he'd just waited a year or two.
Mean Streets of Connecticut: How Phil describes the state where he grew up. While the city he was born and raised (Bridgeport) is a shithole he lived a sheltered childhood, with most of his socialization happening online and the little in-personalization he did get happening with other middle-class kids at FGC tourneys. This became a small-time detractor meme, with trolls posting photos from wealthy Connecticut suburbs as examples of these 'mean streets'.
Lesbian Aunt: The woman who was living in the condo originally before selling it to Phil, another scapegoat for Phil everytime he needs to complain about something condo related. He blamed her for the condo being in bad conditions even though he never did any upkeep. One time he also blamed her genetics for him catching Gout.
Wealthy Uncle: Supposedly Phil has a very wealthy uncle that lives in California that is theorized was the person who was house sitting for him when they left for a week to visit his family.
Basic bills: The bills DSP begs money to pay for, we haven't heard of advanced bills or expert bills yet.
The Receipt: A deep dive into the pre-YouTube days when a bunch of FGC faggots had a quote unquote radio program and had a female guest on and the topic of penis size came up and big dick Phil took it to the next level and did a whole performance of him dropping his trousers and measuring his dick with a Best Buy receipt.
"Why Am I Toxic?": A funny phrase uttered by DSP while he kept getting poisoned in Blighttown in Dark Souls. Detractors like to pretend this phrase is a moment of Phil being self aware and questioning his own toxic personality.
"I'm pressing buttons!": Phil says this everytime he implies he fucked up because the game dropped his inputs instead of a lack of skill on his part.
Argentina: Phil once started a war against the state of Argentina, even banning legitimate fans just because they lived there. This because detractors exploited a loophole to change their currency from US dollars to ARS pesos, which would result in Phil getting fake tips that were worth only a few cents. Phil started checking every donation to see what currency type it was before declaring it as a real or fake tip, and would ban instantly anyone donating in pesos.
StrangelyLex: One time, one of DSP whales, IronChefSakai, or ICS, stopped supporting Phil streams and instead started giving his money to a lesbian, sexy woman streamer called StrangelyLex. When DSP learned this from detractors/dents, he got infuriated with ICS and banned him, while insulting Lex, calling her a titty streamer and saying she's just a slut.
Reminder that this is the guy that would always say he's an "LGBT Ally" lol.
ICS asked for forgiviness multiple times, but Phil would only pretend to unban him before quickly rebanning him. ICS is banned to this day, how dare he? That was PHIL'S MONEY!
Derich: Derich was a creepy kid watching Phil's streams and always begging for attention and just being a nuisance in general. He would never donate or support the streams, except one time he stole his mom credit card to do so.
He was so creepy and offputting, that detractors found out that he was a gooner, he would constantly send creepy messages to pornstars on Twitter, and talk constantly about sex and perverted stuff. He also had a playlist of young girls on his channel. After finding out about him being a possible PDF, Detractors tried to warn Phil and told him to ban Derich. DSP would defend Derich and try to ignore detractors.
It took a team up between PPP, Andy Warski and Null to get Phil to finally bite the bullet and ban the freak. He eventually revealed he did not want to ban Derich just because he did not want to give the detractors a win.
"Thanks for stopping by, Derich!": This is a phrase that DSP would say everytime just to get Derich to stop spamming chat and get him to shut up. Derich was infamous for harassing other viewers in chat, and spamming chat until DSP answered his questions. Detractors use it as a meme because it's funny to picture DSP trying to look like he actually cares about someone else.
LowTierGod: Also known as Dale, Dale is a black streamer that is very often compared to DSP, sometimes called "Black DSP" because they both suck ass at fighting games and have anger issues.
Phil for some reason has a onesided rivalry with Dale, wanting to beat him/troll him at any cost, meanwhile Dale just ignores Phil because he knows that fighting Phil would make him look bad whether he wins or loses.
One time, Dale told Phil "maybe instead of worrying about what I do, you should work on your sexy!" and offered fashion tips to Phil. Detractors often joke about Phil being gay for black men because he never listens to advice, but he listened to Dale immediately and changed his wardrobe to include a ton of Hawaiian Shirts and other Boomer apparel.
WingsofRedemption: An overweight streamer lolcow infamous for being a bad sport at Call of Duty. Phil desperately wants to be friend with Wings, and every time he interacts with Wings, he tries to offer him advice on how to lose weight and improve his life (maybe you should heed your own advice... Phil...) and tries to look like a wise mentor to Wings, meanwhile Wings tries to ignore him as much as possible. Detractors theorize that Phil only does this because he sees Wings as inferior to himself. One day, Phil called Wings at 1am, and spent hours coping about his life in a drunken discord call. The call was so long, that Kat got up from her bed in the other room to go tell Phil to STFU.
Keemstar and Lolcow Live: A drama streamer that is famous for creating Lolcow Live, a reality show where he acts as the Shepherd herding Lolcows. He famously offered 50k to Phil to join the show as a Lolcow, but Phil refused, saying he did not like Keemstar because he was a grifter. Detractors think he only refused because he could no longer beg for money if he received 50k, plus he would probably never want to accept being viewed as a lolcow.
Keemstar, frustrated at how hard it is to work with Phil in any capacity, attacked Phil accusing him of being a failure (hence "Phail") and saying he would always be stuck at Level 1. Phil took the Level 1 name out of spite and named his "podcast" with it. (It's not a podcast, it's just Phil whining about his life for 2 hours before starting gameplay, just like his pre-streams)
"He's just like me, fr fr!": Phil said this to compare his life to the life of a character from a Yakuza game. This character had a very harsh life where he lost everything and actually had a lot of people hating on him, so Phil related to him and said it was just like him being hated by detractors.
People made fun of him for this comparison, and Phil got infuriated and started banning people left and right. "Fr fr" supposedly means "for real" but Phil slurred his words.

Phil's Mom: Linda Burnell has been Phil's #1 enabler his entire life. From what we can gather she smoked and drank while pregnant with Phil, became a stay-at-home mom when he was born, spoiled him rotten and ensured he never learned basic life skills - she did his hair until he was in high school, and even did his laundry when he came home from college on the weekends.
