I've never once heard him claim he doesn't log IPs. And I remember the hack, I wasn't affected by it because I'm not an idiot and don't use my main email or a non-vpn connection.

Josh claimed once on a podcast he was on that he stores as little information as possible which does not even include IPs. I cannot be fucked to look for it so you can either take my word for it or use Google.
I'm certain he misspoke, and even if he didn't it doesn't really matter because the site warns you about possible threats.

Also it's beyond retarded that you call people newfags.

A very good portion of the users of this site are deeply afraid they are or would be lolcows in their own right if they lived a more public facing life and are on psychotropic drugs just to function. IDK why you would trust any non-normie friendly site with any info that could reasonably be used to lead back to you.

I guess I just never trusted Josh or even looked into if this site operated in a way to preserve anonymity. I don't really buy the whole "Josh is a pedo" thing, but there's more than enough evidence that he's a conflicted person with a complicated past. Running this site should be enough for anyone to realize that. People who don't seem like they're sucked into the same eceleb hero worship I like to make fun of. In fact, the weird eceleb hero worship and the cognitive dissonance creates is a big part of the reason Dax and Ralph are sources of funny drama.
 
I don't get how or why this turned into shitting on Josh. Josh is non-ironically a good boy who dindu nuffin. He's letting you shit talk him on his site, which most people in his position wouldn't allow.

You should use a VPN for all your web traffic, but say some loser managed to get your IP address, it's really not a big deal. This isn't NCIS or CSI. They could get a really rough approximate location. It could be the city you live in or two cities over. Most people have dynamic IPs, which makes them even less valuable.

Only law enforcement can get valuable info from an IP address. The police/FBI/CIA/NSA/etc don't give a fuck about you watching and making fun of lolcows. Unless you're fedposting, you have nothing to worry about and even then Josh is in some European country and has a fuck you attitude so it probably wouldn't even matter if he had IPs and law enforcement asked.
