In general, yes. In some contexts like this one, I'm pretty sure no. It might not be clear that Godwinson was knowingly lying, was obviously being satirical, or had realistic concerns. In general the idea that you can sue someone for lying about your business in a clearly damaging way is grounds for damages. It's a moot point anyway since there would be no provable damages, and would never happen.
