It's nice to have this summarized, and I have no doubt that there will be a lot of embarrassing stuff coming out for Dax to deal with, but the fact that the man who portrays Dick Masterson might very well be a sleazy shit off camera is perhaps the least interesting part of this for me.

So Zoom is saying that Ethan Ralph got catfished by a fake Sargon (fake Vee?) and a fake Mark Collett. Pretty sure Collett and Ralph are friends and have been for some time. It's possible that Zoom was able to catfish Ralph by claiming to be a representative of Sargon but given the source, I think even that should be doubted. Zoom doesn't offer any evidence that he was able to catfish Ralph.

And he's claiming the TikTok girl Ralph shilled was a catfish too. No proof offered.

There's so much to doubt here I think I'm going to have to order an Electric Skeptic to do the doubting for me.

You aren't wrong. A lot of this is shit that has been brewing for a long time, and I called the NP2 "conspiracy" (granted my theory had far less tinfoil) long before anyone else. Many of the normies who listened to the show tuned out. Many of the people who left because Dick troll shielded furries and made his Discord a safe space for them. All he's been left with are autistic people who can't function, e-bro economy people, virgins who can't get laid and make up stories of how they lost their virgity that no one believes, and wanna be e-celebs trying to ride Dicks Enigma.

Dick has a personal army of directionless dudes who are all internet e-bros in their own internet e-bro economy of tons of dumb podcasts and music, and they get to feel like they are some sort of winners and like they are part of a cool kids club which Dick validates in "exposure" and preferential treatment. Most drama streams he can ask to be a guest on and cover things the way he wants and Dick understands marketing.

Of course, not all of this falls on Dick. Hazencruz has been a lolcow for a while and him stabbing Dick in the back is pretty stupid. Miss phase is a furry which is lulzy, but she is getting spun into some money grubbing bitch when in reality she was addressing issues Dick has already admitted to (shitty at communication, sucks at payments, etc.), and a handful of artists revolting on him now seems strange when what's being learned isn't that it just started being this shitty, but it's ALWAYS been this shitty.

What we're seeing is what happens when you give people special treatment. In the early days, no one was protected other than "Yeah, I disagree." Furries and autists offer free services for positions of authority and recognition. You can't be that surprised when the normies check out, the autists stab you in the back, and the furries get dramatic weird and demand safe spaces when they get shit on. You can do this with regular businesses (to an extent) because people IRL are expected to act with a certain amount of professionalism, people do a little extra for free in hopes of promotions and oportunity that has monitary exchange.

Online, you are trading free labor for the person doing it wanting to co-opt certain parts of what you do to be a little bit more of what they wish it was. You trade free labor to have a coat tail rider use your brand for clout. You give up a little less of you to make it a little more like them, and if you turn on them they will stab you in the back and have clout to their claims because you let them have it. Even paying for it is no guarentee they won't feel entitled.

Over time it gets harder when you were protecting someone for being a furry, or troll shielding them over go fund me scams they ran that you endorsed, or unfunny bits you said again and again were funny like a mantra chant to get people to like it, or are furries... then try and call them out on the same shit you defended them for publicly for over a year, then immediately call in e-celeb bro friends to co sign what you say who seek money off the platform you made.

I dunno how I feel about Dick right now. He can be funny, but he's so obsessed with protecting the e-bro eco system rather than just laughing at himself or being funny it's killed a lot of what made him entertaining. A lot of normies I know tuned out and got bored of Dick. Now he's getting stabbed by the social reject people he let run his communities and do his art, then creating a safe space. If Dick was trying to set up a poly relationship, that's pretty funny. All poly relationships are basically are basically ticking time bombs that explode in drama. I think it's fine to try and pull a move like that with a girl you're casually fucking or dating or something. For example, I had a thing with this girl one time and both she and her friend had pretty low self esteem and her friend was clearly into me too. I thought about trying to set the whole thing up where I date both of them at once, but to be honest they weren't all that hot and the only reason I would have went for it would have been two pussies instead of one so I didn't go for it after. Holy fucking lol at trying to set it up with your long-term live-in girlfriend who I assume would get half your house if things went south. You do that shit when you're 23 with no assets and no serious relationship. Not when you're pushing fucking 40.

I like Dick. I listen casually to the podcast and I find it funny, but I don't donate anything and probably wouldn't notice if he dropped off the face of the earth.

You know how there'd be these groups of four or five nerds in highschool and one would be the leader nerd, who was the alpha of the nerd group and maybe had a girlfriend or was a bit more successful, but at the end of the day he's not captin of the football team or anything? I think that's what Dick is, except for a bunch of people on the internet instead of a 4-5 person clique that hangs out in high school. I started reading them soon after they broke but quickly got bored. Since then I've picked up that he said some goofy flowery stuff about wings. Still don't really care. I've said plenty of goofy shit like that when chatting up my exes. I'm sure every non-virgin has. Is it really a shock? Have you really never said flowery shit like that to a girl? Maybe you should try.

This has gone so far beyond those texts at this point, though.
