Hey look at that, another golden goose game trailer from a small indie studio that totally isn't fake guys. This is their earliest work in the survival genre https://www.fntastic.com/the-wild-eight I don't know I'm not buying that this is how the final product is going to look on release. These fucking animations put TLOU2 almost to shame and that was made by a large triple A developer backed with Sony's investments. The graphical polish is almost perfect in terms of overall performance and fidelity. This is made by a small indie studio who made a janky survival game with simplistic graphics and now they're making... this? I'm expecting this game to be downgraded and janky as hell when it comes out and people will be in uproar that they boldfaced lied about the quality back when this trailer came out.

Isn't that the same voice as the cyberpunk trailers?

Not gonna lie, I didn't exactly believe the hype with cyberpunk but i'm definitely going to be suspicious of anything I associate with that voice now.

That name is pretentious as hell.

it sounds more suited to cinematic sony shit than a division clone.

"the last of us"
"days gone"
"the day before"

They're using Unreal and not developing their own engine(like Snowdrop) so I can absolutely believe that it is running in realtime and using all the assets and locations that can be seen, but what do they have beyond that?

I'm getting Cyberpunk 2077 flashbacks when that narrator started talking. Yeah, this is a vertical slice made in a lab with high end computers to show to investors.

Oh god, they have the bullshit "real voice chat". Which robots did they choose for this pile of fakery?

Since nobody has been discussing the developer's latest shenanigans here, I figured the thread was worth the necro.

For anyone unaware, a new gameplay trailer was released last month, and to the surprise of gullible redditors, it looked nothing like what was originally promised.

The game has now been delayed multiple times (with more delays rumored) and on top of this the devs have entered some legal trouble regarding the name which resulted in the game being delisted from Steam.

Fntastic, the developers are currently uploading bizzare corporate propoganda to their official channel, presumably to stop investors from getting cold feet and to get more volunteers on board (They do it for free).

A lot has happened since the initial reveal but for anybody wanting a quick catchup, KiraTV has one of the most up-to-date videos on the latest developments;

In short; Overpromised, underdelivered, investor cash used to fund founder's orthodontic work.

Ha ha, I look forward to the absolutely shit show the Early Access period for this game will be (and that it will never leave it). Considering how short this thread over the course of 2 years its kind of amazing to see the night and day difference between the first trailer and this one.

Call me nostra-fucking-damus because I called this when I first saw the trailer. I knew it was bullshit. This just looks pathetic. It's going to flop.

Goddamn, Dead Matter and The Day Before in the same year. I wonder which launch will be the most embarrassing? Dead Matter's is pretty hard to beat.
