Bumping this, Cole's twitter has had a spurt of activity recently, he's been trying to inject himself into various twitter threads to shill his videos, screaming at clickbait articles trying to start shit. He also has been tweeting at various news organizations to #ignoretrump because he thinks the end of the world is going to happen soon due to global warming. Going by his angry tweets and re-tweets about youtube censorship this all seems to stem from YT cracking down on videos using movie clips apparently?

I think he did, once upon a time. And then what credibility he might have had went right down the toilet with his review of Toy Story 3 (or probably that time Ebert owned him, I dunno.)


He had too big an ego for too mediocre a presence.

Hence how he was more than happy to earn a few seconds of Internet fame by being the first critic to slam Toy Story 3 and Lady Bird.

The media can't ignore Trump, they need him. Trump brings a shitload of viewers in who just want to see what they should be complaining about this week in relation to the president. Trump can then rile up the news media on purpose when he wants to shift focus away from something skeevy he did, make the news seem petty, or just because he had a bad day and said something stupid.
It's a self sustaining relationship and I'm sick of people acting like the media has purely moral motivations and wants Trump out of the picture.
