You’ll note the colours are solid, not the excessively-detailed prints that the supers in The Boys wear.

That is a comic character, so the colors are accurate to how its usually portrayed on the page. For MCU figures you've got stuff like:

But, yes, a 6 inch figure obviously isn't going to be a 1:1 representation. Regardless, marketing is obviously a factor in why their costumes look like they do -- the scene with Starlight's new costume states as much. They're not meant to be practical, they're meant to be cool or attractive designs they can sell.

Given the whole corporate thing I figured their costumes were meant to be 'toyetic', something that'd look cool as an action figure, striking a pose for a poster, or in their various in-universe films.

Yeah, because the costumes were designed by the corporation instead of the actual heroes, the show doesn't have to hide the fact that they prioritize marketing above all else. And the bright costumes make a nice contrast to the discreet, everyday outfits of the Boys.

Karl Urban makes this show what it is and I wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much if I never heard him say that wonderful line. "If it ain't the invisible cunt."

So, any early impressions of the new season? It should be out today.

I was watching while I was doing other stuff today so I probably missed some things. I'm going to watch again later.

Homelander: GOT MILK??

Hughie is too dumb to live and I think Starlight is getting smarter but who knows how long that will last.

The development with the Deep is cartoonish. I laugh but it's too much.

It is painfully obvious that the creator fucking hates religion. Might as well put a neon sign on every wall on the set. Starlight is basically parroting atheism blogs now. I fully expect her to look at the screen and mock me for believing in my sky daddy in the next episode.

You may want to turn subtitles on when the southeast Asian girl's brother shows up, I think in episode 2. They do a lot of talking in their native language and sign language and there were no subtitles otherwise.

Boat crash into the whale was hysterical.

The guy that made supernatural is making this. Of course he's an atheist.

So far it's pretty consistent with season one. They've changed up their release schedule for it, so after they've released the first three today they're going with a weekly schedule, meaning the last one won't be available until October 9th.

My biggest issue so far is that they don't seem to know what to do with Hughie in these first few episodes, so they made him regress and re-do some of his character development from the first season.

I have alot to say about the new chick, firstly:
How did they manage to get a superhero named 'Stormfront' past Amazon
is it just ok cus she's a bad guy?
This chick had some based takes with the whole edgy cynicism
That said she also seems to be a complete psychopath, I think she's going to kill Homelander at some point

Ennis himself is a neckbeard-tier atheist, so I'm not terribly surprised an adaptation of his comic is either.

Do some reading about the Stormfront character, he writers were jacking themselves raw about how clever they are a few months ago, since they changed the character from being a Nazi genetic-engineering project to create a superman to a super powered woman who got radicalized by the online Alt-Right. It’s the sort of shit that Hollywood and Tech Bros get harder for than tranny triple-anal gangbang vids.
