It still floors me to consider the fact that these left-wing hippies don't consider the ramifications of what they're writing.
Homelander was content to be a celebrity CEO who serves as a standard-bearer for Middle America and its values, but his black female advisor encourages him to destroy democracy and replace it with a dictatorship.
Victoria Neuman poses with people who are practicing a "Keep Christ in Christmas" ice skate play, showing that religion is still popular in this world, to the point where the soon-to-be VP has to pose photos with them, and a company that once tried to cater to gays and SJWs is catering to Christians.
There's tons of groups that peddle conspiracy theories about how you can't trust mainstream news, but behind closed doors, we see officers of the state and the president-elect continue to plot to kill the VP-elect because she's a supe. And that's after they spurned her offer of a truce.
I'm getting the feeling that in this world Kripke wrote, he accidentally made it so that the majority of the people probably WOULD support Homelander if he makes a move to seize power and turn the clock back to restore conservative Christian values in America. And his only real opposition outside of Starlight and her fans are a group of deep-state shadows who are bankrolled on the side by the Feds to commit what legally is treason.
Also, why the hell are they not trying to recruit Stan Edgar? Did Homelander give him a gift of cement shoes before dropping him into the water? I'm sure the guy who used to be Vought's CEO would be a useful ally against Homelander and Neuman, especially since both of them had a hand in his downfall.
