If you watch the scenes you can tell he's not going full force, especially at first. Personally I think it's because his priority was getting to Ryan and that's why at first he was obviously just trying to disengage Maeve and address the most imminent threat, Soldier Boy. He knew Butcher didn't really pose a danger to him and knew Butcher wouldnt hurt Ryan, he knew Maeve wouldn't hurt Ryan and probably couldn't really hurt him, so he tried avoiding it. Soldier Boy at that point was going to kill them all, his kid, his prodigy, his legacy, regardless. Eventually she does piss him off and I think if he had re-engaged after she pinged him in the ear he would have dropped all pretense and used all his physical strength instead of just smacking at her and doing lasers which he already knew she could withstand.

Instead of showing her get her other eye gouged out and her head split against the floor the writers gave her plot armor an upgrade and sent her through the window. Which I guess was nice since it was a fitting end to Maeves arc, she proved to herself she was still the type of person who'd jump in front of a bus even if it meant breaking something, and now she's a regular human who can to have lesbian adventures.

In the beginning when she's just a distraction, maybe, but if the scene played out as the writers want to imply and she fucks him up enough for killing to be possible, why the hell would Homelander continue to hold back? Especially when she's stopping him from helping Ryan?

This sort of plot device is how you know this shit is written by SJW types, as normal men would never write something so stupid. Also, IRL, a woman who was highly placed in society and had looks like Erin Moriarty would never, ever give a second look to a Gamma like Hughie. He is a skinny, weak, ugly nerd; not at all a man.

Yes, and it's just so poorly written. They may as well have a scrolling chyron whenever he appears, saying "This Man Is RACIST! You Must Hate Him!", as if the guy who married a negress and is raising a child who looks like Wesley Snipes is somehow going to also be attending Klan rallies.

Something about the dude playing Frenchie was off too this season. He has a weird build. Can't quite explain it, but he had some weird bloat going on for some episodes.
 
Maeve's training was intended to hold Homelander for a few seconds so Butcher could aim and shoot the Anti Supe gun (prior to finding out the weapon was actually SB seized by the Ruskies), She hadn't any hopes of "winning" 1v1 homelander if the fight prolonged enough, wtf was that?. LMAO To think woke writing scripts cant restraint themselves from the urge of post sharing bad headcanons even from their own work.

Also pretty lameass hack attempts of south park comedy with all that prevalent gay and gross shit going on involving sex: a butthole displayed in herogasm on TV, MM getting head to toes on cum, the mini guy entering a dude's urethra, gay butt stuff dirty talk, some faggot screamin "ass ramming!" in the background during Herogasm, etc. Herogasm is definitely shoddy smut material.

The person who yelled something like "take that jizz you big brown bear" was Eric Kripke, the weirdo kike who runs the show. The miniature supe entered the dude's anus because he was looking for the prostate before he sneezed and exploded. During one of the earlier seasons they allegedly shot a bunch of pornographic scenes that Kripke wanted to release to a porn company but Amazon stopped the release.
