I assume they're gonna blueV errybody by seasons end; hughie and butcher to continue the work while avoiding death, Frenchie to keep up with kimiko or survive a near death situation, and MM to kick the fuck outta Butcher and kill Soldier Boy himself. I'm hoping we'll see Hughie figure out how to use his teleporting offensively. Think we'll see the supes who escaped Stormfronts center again?

>lol, Soldier Boy didn't fight on D Day
>lol, A-train is alive
>lol, temp V gives you brain cancer
>lol, kimiko has powers again
>lol, Soldier boy also beat his innocent-killing asshole allies alongside being an innocent-killing asshole

this just undid the major events of the entire season
and made a terrible attempt to make soldier boy unlikable

what do i give a shit about punching huey for being a pussy in a combat situation?
People were crazy for thinking A-Train died. Like what a waste of a character when they could deservedly drag his character through more mud. When ResetEra makes fun of black people not being black and thinking about all the horrid stuff they deserve, I think of this guy.

From what I've heard about the comics and the stuff that Starlight discovered, I'd agree with your assumption. All in all, I just hope they don't character assassinate Butcher like they did Jamie Lannister, in light of these flashbacks. I hope he gets redemption for Lenny :(

I don't think they will character assassinate Butcher. I think he has already been through enough and his redemption is coming in the form of Starlight finding out what happened to Lenny.

i recorded this clip from my phone, I really wanted to share it because this was hilarious

SlAnGinG DaT YaYo 🤣

Plot Twist, Ashley is actually a supe as well. Her power is that she's half retarded frog.

Soldier Boy's lost all nuance and sympathy then. Well, it was interesting while it lasted.

Hughie wants temp V to stand a chance against Supes that are threatening everybody he loves: Toxic Masculinity, scared of powerful women.

Kimiko wants permanent V to stand a chance against Supes that are threatening the person she loves: Say no more, girl, Annie will Amazon deliver that shit.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Starlight.

Boo, A-Train survived. The last act of revenge leading to an unceremonious death before he could try and make up for his actions would have been the perfect end to the guy.

Stralight, it's brave to stand up to the bad guy even when you know they're stronger than you and all, but there comes a point where you're coming off as if you're intentionally trying to push Homelander to just murdering everyone.

Boy is Starlight lucky that Homelander didn't just knock her out immediately and imprison her like he did Maeve.

Butcher's scenes is the best part of this episode.

I don't get it, Hughie basically renounced everything that was making him go along with this mission; why is he still happily following along now?

This episode really hits all the bad aspects of the season hard.

I really like this show. I’ve been avoiding it for the past two years cuz I wasn’t familiar at all with the comics and thought it was some dudebro capeshit TV show, but I finally had nothing better to watch at all and binged it. Solid 7/10.

Homelander and Butch are the heart of this show, undeniably. Hughie and Starlight surprisingly don’t wanna make me claw my eyes out. Frenchie and weird Asian girl are probably the worst subplot in the show, but even then they’re not horrible.

I see a lot of people complaining about the SJW propaganda, but I haven’t really been too overwhelmed by it. Maybe it’s because I already knew to expect a lot more of it when I saw Amazon produced it, but it didn’t really catch me off-guard. Like of course Starlight was gonna pick the hijab sand nigress as the next member of the 7 from the superhero game show. Of course Stormfront is a Nazi who gets her face burned and bites her tongue off and gets fat white neckbeards on 4chan to shoot minorities or whatever the fuck, but I didn’t really care. It’s just fluff until I get to what I really wanna see: a psychotic superhuman’s mental state deteriorate.

Episode next week will be season finale. I have trouble believing they'll wrap this season up satisfyingly in one more episode. Well, less than 1 episode. They'll devote 10 minutes to sign language. 10 minutes to Kimiko and Frenchy dancing. 15 minutes to MM and Consoomer Stepdad. Feels like half the damn season was Kamiko and Frenchy dancing. OK, I fucking got it the first 50 fucking times, she likes dancing and old music.

It's because a story where you can feel the Author's hatred for the character bleed through will automatically make the character feel like more of an underdog because the setting itself is against them being presented in anything but the worst light.
exactly if you read any stories from old playboys or chick tracts its the same thing, when you can see the misogyny / conservatism dripping off the page it practical makes you root against the characters. the problem is most people don't care/didn't invest enough skill points to be able to see the subtexts.

i still remember honors english reading Fahrenheit 451 and somehow being the only student calling out the blatant vile language the protagonist used against his wife and just the female characters in general. in the future women are just stupid cunts that sit around eating bon bons and watching soap operas and are only useful because of the ax wound between their legs, at least thats how the author felt.

streaming sucks for this exact reason. everything operates like USA channel's old shows everything status quos, at least we got 22 episodes to go through before the changes kicked in, with this its barely any time at all.

In the future?
This episode laid the political sperging on a bit thick. With the Qanon dad etc, and denying stuff like Clinton/Haiti via metaphor. Enjoyed the twist at the end. I hope SB and Homelander do team up.

the story was written in the 1950s. which does bring up the odd point of why james joyce is considered a key novel of civilization on par with the bible.
