yeah, I see what they're going for and I even kinda like the idea in theory, the arms and legs of the suit are well done but it doesn't work as a suit with normal proportions and ends up looking more uncanny
the way the person wiggles around is great horror comedy though

i wonder if the person inside is on their knees or if they're actually an amputee... if it's the latter it might be an interesting way to use your disability for a costume, the way people in wheelchairs cosplay as mermaids or other stuff with big tails that don't permit them to walk anyway

The limbs are too short for the arms and too thick for an amputee, so knees and elbows. This also means it's a suit that cannot be put on - or taken off - by yourself and does not belong in public spaces for multiple reasons. But, furries.

Some time ago the same kind of suit was carted around, might be even the same one because there's a cart in the background, in a convention (I recall the tweet being posted here but a shallow search through Animal Control did not find it), causing some drama about these kinds of suits in public, but as I recall it did not result in much beyond that con trying to implement a "if you can't move quickly in the suit by yourself, it's banned" rule.

Hate to be the guy that tells you "this cute thing is actually someone's fetish", but this is actually a uwu-ified variation of a kinksuit worn for bondage and pup play. The wearer folds their limbs to fit into them into the "stubs", so that they're walking on on their elbows and knees. The feet are stored inside the tail.

I think people saw the correlation, this isn't a big revelation it's why they reacted the way they did, but just because it has some similar traits doesn't necessarily mean it's that

What kind of non-kink purpose would a fursuit with bound arms serve? It does not even achieve the proper "quadrupedal" posture needed for an animal animal costume.

I mean, sure, there are some quadsuits that employ the look without it appearing creepy, like this ram suit:

But the crawling amputee look? Definitely a kink thing. It's literally "inspired" by the same template - down to the sleeves and tail compartment. If you take away the fur and head, all you're really left with is this:

Part of the appeal lies in feeling helpless, bound, and compromised in front of others. Furries cavort their fetishes around as much as they can get away with all the time, especially at cons. These suits are on the same tier as those inflatable, vore, and pooltoy suits where if you know, you know.

Helps that that particular suit ("Splint the Angry Ram") is a regular "crawling" suit: the legs are bound, but the arms are free (in motion, archive, while this suit is fine, the account does have NSFW in it, including decisively kink fursuits and "crawling amputee" suits).
I have heard of a legitimate use for this kind of suit: portraying a tiger on the scene, involving navigation by marks on the floor.

Oh definitely, if it is an amputee it'd be pretty creative but still, the style of the head is what throws it off i think. too fursuit-y and not plush-y enough.

I think it's the eyes that bother me more than anything else in this suit. And bear in mind, these were just the ones he uploaded in the last 24 hours. He's been uploading dozens of these photos daily despite them getting little to no engagement.

What REALLY caught my attention was the fact that mixed between these photos, he started poorly cropping himself out of existing photos and slapping himself into other images, JustinRPG style. Unlike Justin, there's no weird fetish porn he shoved himself in (at least that I saw), but the poor quality of his photoshopping is still kinda funny regardless.
