It's always amazing to see how little Chris changes over the years.

I personally don't see a shred of remorse in any of the letters. Even in the first letter to Fashion Square he's very demanding and self-centered. He even goes so far as to order that all security staff purposefully avoid him and Barb whenever they see them on the property. Everything reads like "here are synonyms for remorse now stop inconveniencing me and give me the respect I deserve" rather than an actual apology.
 
Thanks for clearing that up Chris, because if you hadn't said I would have indeed confused love with the act of sexual intercourse.

I love how Chris calls trespassing, running down Snyder in his car and breaking Snyder's knees, and then fleeing the scene, trying to evade the police, a "misunderstanding".
 
Unless they know him and unless Chris has caused trouble on numerous occasions, I doubt Walmart is going to remember they banned him with it being over a year ago. I've worked at a Walmart, and I can say that they don't keep pictures of people they've banned.

A guy I know got banned at my local Walmart for stealing, and he still shops there.

I doubt they're going to notice Chris unless he draws attention to himself. Which is likely to happen. All he needs is to see a Sonic Boom poster or case, and he'll be raging.
 
It is very serious, and we deeply Love (NOT to be confused with the act of intercourse) and care for each other with honesty and compassion.

Oh, well if that's the case Chris then sure come on back. Did you actually realize why what you did was wrong? Or learn to behave yourself better? No? Well I guess that doesn't matter. I mean after all, you do have a sweetheart now, and as we both know it's not like you have some ulterior motive for wanting to come back...

Chris's apologies have always felt, to me, like something he says because he understands they can be a step towards a positive outcome for him, not what it means for both of them.

In his letter to Fashion Square, he apologises for something caused by trolls and stress - factors he considers external to himself. I feel like he's trying to say I'm sorry without owning his actions again.
 
Christ, what an asshole. It's all about what Chris wants and how Chris feels. Note, too, that there is no acknowledgement that the answer might be, "No, you're still banned."
 
His promises to never cause a scene again will be forgotten the instant he sees those trollin stupid blue arms.

Chris flies off the handle too easily for me to believe he's being genuine, and the MLW letter is pathetic.

I'm guessing she does, actually - dealing with Chris can't exactly have been a run-of-the-mill time at the office. People tend to remember odd events, and this qualifies.

If she doesn't, getting a letter like this, outlining exactly what he did, will jog her memory.

She remembers him. 90 percent of her net presence is thanks to him. If any of her students want to google her, they're gonna come across the CWCki. So I'm fairly certain she remembers him. Plus he used the Curse ye-ha-me-ha, that's pretty fuckin' memorable.

The MLW one stands out to me though. Chris says he wants to be unbanned from PVCC but is he still banned from there? I thought he just trespassed on her office. And why would he care? Does he want a second degree so that he can get a job?

I guess the most important question is: Did he get any response from any of these people?
 
I doubt the mall or Wal-Mart folks remember him, so this would be some seriously surreal reading material provided the letters even got to the intended person. As for Mary Lee Walsh...gosh, I feel bad for her. She has an important job to do, managing student affairs as well as administrative ones, and eeeevery so often, Chris pops up again to make her day just that much more bizarre!
I don't think this letter would have got to her though, if it was a while ago and Chris doesn't seem to have brought up any sort of reaction, it either didn't get sent or got trashed by someone.

When your apology letters read like that later works of Jim Morrison, with rambling meandering nonsense, peppered with unexpected sexual imagery, you really aren't accomplishing the goals you set out to achieve.

I think that it's part that he's desperate to get back into the places that he's been banned from, and part that he realizes that apology letters are a good way to try to get off the hook/get out of trouble after he screws up.

I'm of the opinion that these letters are just an empty gesture, a formality, for the most part. Or it could be that Chris genuinely does feel sorry, but that emotion, and the lesson to be learned, "goes in one ear and out the other" so to speak, and next time he's about to do something stupid, he doesn't remember, and allows himself to act out.

Chris is like a child in many ways, but he's different in at least one important respect: most children learn from their mistakes. Chris doesn't seem to.

I can't see these being genuine specifically due to the MLW letter basically saying "I'm sorry for what I did but it's all your fault."
 
Man, I hope he didn't actually mail these. All it does is make them remember he's banned, and remind them why.

Damnit Chris, you idiot. He actually got banned from Target over those spindly little blue sticks on that stupid cartoon character.

Saddle up, Barb, it's time you went and did the shopping.
