Cryostasis and this is deep sleep shit
Feeding tubes to the comatose people
People live for a while but die eventually and only Pomni can return to her body due to that

5 mins brainstorming and I'm retarded

But how do their bodies get transported from the trap chair to long term cryo? Why didn't the people with Ragitha immediately help her? If Cain is the reason, why is he suddenly not able to get other info from the outside world?

All perfectly solvable, but would require planning ahead of time so that plot holes doesn't get formed from random funny ancedotes

How come the ending feels like it's missing half the ending?

How come most of the subplots are left completely unresolved?

How come barely anything is explained in any greater detail than what we've already seen?

How come the one vaguely trans character in the show made by a trans person immediately kills themselves after we find out they're probably some kind of trans? That's kind of concerning.

Is this like a fakeout rough cut they leaked on purpose as a market ploy? It doesn't seem very likely but this all feels so incomplete I can't help but wonder a little bit.

There was nothing to suggest that what Jax was so ashamed about was being a closeted tranny, as opposed to potentially seriously injuring his mother and feeling like a failed son. Kiwi chuds are more obsessed with trannies than trannies are.

If this is a fake cut and the final product is completely different I will fucking kneel because this is a tremendous amount of animation and production work to not be real
Basement tranny Nooseworx certainly didn't
The implied thing of the episode not even being done when they did the theater deal tells me they changed shit last second. i said it before and I'll keep saying it because it really really, REALLY does not line up with the shit in the episodes beforehand.

When the Aqua Teen movie came out they made an entire episode from scenes they cut, and then mixed up those scenes (and maybe a few more?) with the original cut to make a totally different version of the movie.

But that was a different time and a different place. In this case, it seems like way too fanciful of an explanation.

True but I'm explaining the reason why the current crop of indie animators are like this. They all watched kids' animation that had a relatively coherent plot and "maturity" and wanted to replicate and surpass it, not realizing all that stuff is just window dressing on top of a competently written show. Also, I put quotation marks around "deep" for a reason, there's no real depth, just concepts from better media being inserted, maybe wrapped together with an ARG and cartoon characters ugly crying from a realistic panic attack.

About the part on animation degrees, I agree for the most part on the politicization and therapy-talk being cancerous, but there is something to be gained from learning simple things like character writing at an actual school. Maybe CalArts won't produce any exceptional shows but at least its indoctrinated graduates know Aristotle's three-act structure.
As I mentioned before, these types of writers were trained on Tumblr and need to insert their specific traumas, tropes, and representation into it in order to make it relatable. These kinds of people would watch something like An American Tail and "improve" it by making Fievel a pooner and have him stick a gun in his mouth because he struggles with suicidal ideation and he is in a gay relationship with a mtf cat that nobody accepts.

They responded to an ad by the company to do a trial for $50. The main cast are all down on their luck nobodies who take it and suspect nothing as get sent to the circus. At the end the cast part ways as some return to the real world and the other half prefer to stay in the circus.

Lmao you learn about three act structure in fucking elementary school... or at least you used to!
Was just talking about this to my husband while watching episode 2- kids sincerely don’t know story structures or any classical literature. They aren’t taught in schools anymore, or they just don’t pay attention… so shows like TADC and whatever Vivzie pulls out of her rectum become their baseline for what makes stories.

so soon we will have a new generation of complete brain rot storytellers with absolutely no educated foundation of how stories should work

Maybe AI is the good end

Having seen the whole thing now, I'm left even more baffled by the Jax scenes.

I genuinely, legitimately thought that the real meat, the action of the "movie" would take place there. I expected 20 minutes of frantic, nightmarish mental trauma. Rapid-fire swapping from scene to scene, Pomni being thrown through a psychedelic loop of Jax' memories.

But no, it's entirely slow-paced and not much happens. A small part is deranged fantasy, and then it just proceeds to a history of Jax' life in the circus where he's implied to be a closeted tranny that lashes out due to rejecting his tranniness. The implication being that if you reject becoming a tranny you commit suicide.

But as we already knew with the 14 minute leak, the entire thing is just completely pointless. It could be cut out of the movie, and nothing would materially change for any of the main characters. At no point were any of them in any real danger throughout the entire episode. It's just an epilogue, and the idiots at Glitch really thought this was fit for a theatrical release?

Arguably the most interesting thing that we hadn't seen with the prior leak, was that Caine was about to create a second Circus with another instance of Scratch and the initial brain scans. He already made that Scratch -- what became of him? It's like they couldn't help themselves but throw another interesting plot element in at the very last second, only to discard that too.

The credits just left me kind of weirdly sad. Everyone was fine, except Jax. Everyone is having fun and having a great time, except Jax. Caine put them through absolute hell and he gets to have fun, but Jax doesn't. I guess torturing multiple people for what must have been years was A-okay, but reject becoming a tranny? Instant death sentence.

Edit: Also, there's a huge problem with the end as-is. You can only be happy for so long spending time with the same people. At some point, you're going to run out of things to do. At some point, you need fresh input, need to meet new people. And what if someone pulls the plug? I feel like they just delayed the inevitable. Everyone is going to go insane regardless.

Maybe a mini-episode or a merch advertisement. (Though they put a fucking merch advert on the theatrical cut anyway so who gives a fuck.)

Jax is Cooper's self insert. It's a thirty something year old man telling under 25s "This is why you need to let me wear dresses in the women's locker room, because otherwise I'll hecking kill myself!"
