>"There's meaning to be found in a stagnant life"
>The cast only ultimately find meaning via their IRL non-stagnant lives

Wow.
I have no idea how many people actually watched sonny boy but that anime did the whole premise of being stuck in a stagnant world much better. Mostly because they realize that there is no meaning to be found in stagnation and they should return to the real world despite how much it sucked for them and move on with their lives

It’s pissing in the wind for me to try to debate this point but people saying who Jax was trans are clearly tourists or retards.

Are you telling me a tranny would seethe this hard at being put in girl clothes?

Jax being trans only works if he’s female -> male which, let’s face it, isn’t happening.

. Some people do believe in a higher purpose (ask anyone that is religious)
I won’t religion sperg too much, but -

The Bible is very clear that god gives man purpose, but it is up to us to find it through our relationship with god. The deeds we do, and reflecting on our character. In other words, our purpose isn’t something we actively seek, but something we discover and learn throughout life. Something that would still be very possible in this scenario.

Purpose is tied to personhood, not origin. Just because you’re a replicant or brains scan does not imply that you are not a person if you’re capable of loving, hating, hurting, question etc. if someone can seek meaning, they can seek god as by being a creation of man they are still part of God’s creation and God’s ultimate plan. As Romans 9:8 so cleanly states:
It is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.
While contextually this explains they you don’t have to be related to Abraham to be in God’s grace, you just have to be able to seek god and live morally by him, it can be further taken to imply that anyone capable of seeking god in earnest is welcome in God’s plan and has a purpose.

And as a nexus 6 replicant, or a brain scan, they’re able to have full thoughts, dreams, hopes, and humanity, and thus can seek out God, which means they’d be welcome in his grace and would be able to find purpose.

Theologically you could argue that Deckard, as a replicant with full humanity, was given the purpose of rescuing Rachael and bringing the criminal Nexus 6 replicant’s to justice. Meanwhile Rachael’s purpose was to inspire Deckard to realize that there is humanity in a Replicant’s life and lead him to save her in the end. Two artificial humans given purpose by God due to their clear humanity.

The same argument could be made through Pomni’s actions in this finale serving as someone bringing the others together and keeping them from being lead astray like Jax was.

Of course, Goosworx 100% has no grasp of these concepts and likely has never opened a bible bun his life. And it’s frankly so disgusting to even bring a theological angle to this that I will most certainly have to repent, but the point still stands that if you were truly a religious person, discovering that you were never a true human wouldn’t inherently exclude you from God’s grace and doesn’t imply that you lack a God given purpose. If anything, your humanity and sentience would be a high indicator that God does indeed have a plan for you.

Damn, I had no idea anime was using CGI all the way back in 2001. The 3D animations look uncannily modern.

Wait until you see the Roger Rabbit 2 test CGI

Working with this lunatic must have been a living nightmare these past couple months. Cooper does not comprehend damage control, but more the fool Glitch for not having some kind of tard-wrangling mechanism in place to get their various basketcases and they/them hambeasts to shut the fuck up and get off of Xitter.

Just for fun I checked my local area for TADC tickets…. And the days that were sold out are not sold out anymore
It’s showing at multiple theaters in my area and even on the weekend the theaters are only 1/4 reserved. I’m not really surprised. I see more adults and teens irl with Invader Zim merch than TADC.
Y'know, it seems like every few months or so, there's some huge Indie Animation™ show that pops up online, spreads like wildfire, and gets all kinds of praise and popularity. Then it turns out that either the show got up its own ass and completely fell apart, or there's massive drama that went on behind the scenes, or both
And no matter if its in its heyday and decline you never hear or see anything about it irl except for merch and cosplays at ComiCons.

There is a whole sub-genre of trannies that are into the forced feminization fetish, look at Finnster for example. Being forced to dress like a woman is peak tranny bait.

Did we ever learn how Gangle got her ass into the circus, also???

Pomni and Zooble are urbexers, Ragatha a realtor at the building and Jax was homeless, but im not sure how gangle just stumbled into this world after getting hit by a fucking truck and clearly not being recovered at moment of entry...

Decades of Hot Topic influence shall not be lost so quickly
The show itself (Zim) is also generally good even if it has the same effect scott pilgrim had of people aping off the style badly without getting why it worked. The gameoverse thing Is another example of that like they got them vazquez style wacky bug eyes but they're also trying for like choppy anime frames but also doing bean mouth esque shit and the combo looks so fucking weird to me. The netflix zim specials animation was a bit fucky compared to the original but it wasn't animated by the same people which is likely why it turned out the way it did. Humor wise it was basically the same as the OG series which was crazy due to it happening like right around the same time as the rocko one where they randomly trooned out the one guy in a really forced out of nowhere reveal scene.

Actually the digital circus fans also overlap witht he "fans" of scott pilgrim that write entire video essays on how it's bad and problematic and scott is a pedo and ramona should have been the protag because of a fucking joke from the start of the comic to show how much of a loser he is where he hangs out with a 16 year old asian that has a weird crush on him. Direct overlap with nega=racist slur people. Fake ass negas.

I'm taking great pleasure in finding comments on youtube talking about the leaks and how they won't go on twitter and immediately hitting them with JAX ABSTRACTS.
Very fun stuff.

the ending is a disappointment but jax fans got what's coming to them so thanks gooseworx for that.
anyways how likely is that a jax fans kills themselves or someone else in the theaters?

I don’t understand the demographic for this show at all. It’s full of ‘censored’ profanity and has a lot of overtly dark references to depression and suicide and yet it’s animated like a Elsagate video with the saturation turned up to the max and everything is rendered to look like a Fisher-Price toy. Also it’s based on a bleak af Harlan Ellison story but has a lot of ‘lol random and quirky’ humor. The finale only makes me more confused. What child wants to watch a glorified therapy session where one of the main characters kills themselves?
I asked my friends this question yesterday, and the reply I got within seconds was "Queers."

I could have sworn it was for teens given how tame it was with body horror and existential dread, but I guess when you don't watch past episode one...
Edit: Oh and there’s also a sex scene…? wtf
Wait, what?! Elaborate!!

Spoilers & bitching about the writing

Gave in and watched it. Not really adding anything new here but I was really hoping they'd go into the actual history of C&A, Scratch, the creation of the circus, how they all got in there, the blue AI, the original gang of employees, the other abstracted characters. Any at all. The unique scenario and the mystery is what made me actually find the show engaging and overlook some of the cringe writing and therapyspeak. No, it's mostly just overly drawn out emotional scenes. I loved Jax and didn't mind the whole "going into his abstracted mind" thing- at least we finally know what happened with Ribbit- but it could easily have been cut in half, possibly even less of what it was. I wouldn't even mind the SOMA theory ending if they actually went into the plot and explained loose ends. The most interesting part was when Caine came back and showed their real identities, and that was literally the only thing they gave any answers at all to. Even then, how the hell did Gangle get into the circus if she got hit by a truck? How is an abandoned building able to keep the computer running enough to still scan their brains for Ragatha and the others? What happened to C&A? They showed Scratch's name but nothing else about him, nothing about the names of the other abstracted characters. I guess this whole time I was expecting the show to be something it wasn't. It felt like very little actually... happened, other than the stuff with Jax and Caine. The whole thing felt so anticlimactic after what episode 8 had built up. Leave it to a troon to throw out engaging lore just for emotional masturbation.

Also there is no sex scene, idk where that came from.
