Watching the series over again, the show has zero rewatch value. It’s written based on memes of what’s currently popular on Reddit and TikTok (Scream cut off, Gmod physics, etc)….And when there’s actual moments of lore, it’s just fun facts that doesn’t matter in the next episode.

There wasn’t a linear story with no goals. And I think that’s why this show just became shit….

Exactly. Characters have their moments (mostly Jax and Kinger) where they open up, but none of it matters. There's never any character resolution or growth for anyone. Everyone is the exact same as they were in the pilot. Jax is an unbearable asshole who's arc twists itself into a noose and ends with him fucking -ACKED! Pomni goes up to sad people and asks what's wrong the entire show. Ragatha talks like an annoying Redditor the entire show and it's hinted that she has mommy issues 3 times (never matters or affects the plot at all). Gangle is a mopey fag the entire show. Zooble is an edgy self-insert the entire show (and a tranny). Kinger explicitly tells Pomni in the third episode that he regains his sanity in darkness and that he's a computer scientist, information she never uses at all until suddenly she remembers in the episode right before the theatrical release.
None of the pacing of what happens makes sense and nothing that happens has any build-up or reason to happen. Caine has been a dim-witted, aloof, but mostly benevolent ringleader for presumably years, and then one day turns into a psychopathic sadist because they made fun of him too much? Cooper clearly had no idea how to progressively make Caine unstable (because he's a dogshit writer) and figured if they just animated a flashy scene where he gets really mad it would be enough to trick normgroids into thinking the show is well written. Not like it matters, since they throw away the only barely built up plotpoint of him turning into AM and having subsumed another AI by just having him pull it out of his head and become nice. What a fucking joke.

I haven't watched the full leak, but I also don't see how they could possibly make them being friends IRL make sense. They all found the circus at a different time and there was plenty of other people SOMA'ed into it over the years, but specifically the last 6 people are all successful and best friends? Even if Goosetroon regrew his cock and balls and suddenly became a good writer this would be the most generic Steven Universe happy ending slop I've ever seen. But trust us chud, autistic troons are SUPER talented artists

This reminds me of how SMG4, Glitch's former poster child, had an entire short movie called "It's Gotta Be Perfect" about the self insert of Glitch CEO Luke Lerdwichagul's struggles to make the perfect meme while an evil entity consumes him. The entire thing was a poorly disguised metaphor for how his sunscribers should just be good little goyim and consoom his content farm slop because he gets sad at all the criticism. He even did a middle finger to his oldARYAN fanbase (all 10 of them still watching) by destroying the Mario 64 castle (mind you it started as a goofy Machinima YTP series) and then turned Princess Peach into a non-sapient bug

This one scene from Regular Show is better acted, effective, and more emotionally intelligent than anything in digital circus

I'm also pretty sure it's the inspiration for Sammy Classic Fan's "your actions have consequences" speech.

Because this is how fucked modern culture is and western animation. Not like there's anything else to talk about. We are never getting the days of Ralph Bakshi and Don Bluth back. We get this tranny feelsmax slop for at least the next two decades. Until the people who have graduated from Don Bluth's university get into positions of power, we're stuck with whatever is made popular on TikTok and Reddit. This is why I don't watch any shows as they're coming out. I wait for the ending and then maybe a few years later after the conversation has died, then I watch it with objective eyes. I can't stand this era, but it's where we're at. My friend gets caught up on these shows sometimes, but I think the rugpull of promising premise to tranny pipeline gets him and, to his credit, he always hates it. Happened with Korra as well.

Yes, the situation is terrifying in theory. On paper knowing for a fact you are trapped forever in a place with monsters that used to be like you, and might be you one day, should be horrifying. Worse, you don’t even get the luxury of being real.

But in practice this is indistinguishable from a Steven Universe therapy episode. Crying, talking about feelings and then cope with the power of friendship. And they just hug it out with Caine.

They have the horror set up of "I have no Mouth and I must Scream" , but the gravitas and maturity of "My Little Pony".

I dunno, I find the concept of being immortal in a world where you can have anything you want conjured up at any time far less scary or existential than the zoomers are making it out to be. Then again, I’m also someone who finds no sense of creepiness in the concept of the backrooms whatsoever and feel like the only thing scaring zoomers about it is the concept that they might one day have to work in an office
 
Scratch the last thing I said about the ending being underwhelming, because now that I have seen the full version I can say that it's straight up bad. Yet another episode where Jax gets full focus and much of it's just a bunch of fanservice scenes, even the part where he attacks Pomni was in reality just some hallucination, despite this nega being marked for death and supposedly being a huge asshole Gooseworx couldn't make his most beloved OC do something actually evil. After that it's just a bunch of exposition about his past where we don't even see anything really important or that we didn't already know, just in time to have eveyone save Pomni, Cain comes back because he wanted lol, now they can watch tiktoks, the end.

Oh and don't forget to buy the "final" anniversary collection when? merch drop. Cooper is such a hack.

Like is a strong word. The production quality and no paywall makes it easy entertainment. It's also fun to make fun of because it's so bad.
