OH NO ! ITS LEAAAKING!!!

My precious indie cartoon! Gone forever!

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Imagine being Frictional Games. You make a cool little horror game about a man solely learning the horrible truth that he's not even human, and the biggest impact on our culture it has is being as a name for a theory, related to a cartoon created by a troon, with a shitty ending.
Even when they don't intend to, troons ruin everything.

You might as well blame Harlan Ellison for writing "I have no mouth and I must scream" then.

Man, we went from that extremely bleak and edgy tale to an only SLIGHTLY less bleak Point and Click game to...this...

ngl, a good visual demonstration of western society's decay.

I never cared to theorize about this series--the brain scan thing seemed like a foregone conclusion. And theorizing on endings usually leads to disappointment anyway.

I'm very curious to watch the whole thing. Just how bleak is the ending supposed to be? It's totally possible to frame life in the Circus as either completely fine or as a precarious jail for your digital self. We are left with a group of characters who have a pretty bleak outlook. One power outage and they're gone... death like that is a remote possibility in the real world, but it's a certainty in the Circus. They probably don't have long left before they simply cease to exist one day. Scary stuff. Plus, being files in a computer removes even the cope of the characters finding some sort of contentment in an afterlife.

This ending seems more like an epilogue to the last episode, which confirmed a lot of things. It leaves the feature-length film to be about dealing with the aftermath, rather than being an episode where things get revealed and things get turned on their head.

Jax’s abstraction points to the characters being unable to find a truly satisfying philosophy for their new life. Instead, it's a lie that Jax, being a realist/pessimist, can't fool himself into believing. Furthermore, the true nature of abstracting is not yet understood, so who knows what kind of tortured existence that actually is. Under such circumstances, I think the best choice might have been to let the characters say their goodbyes and go out on their own terms.
Also ig weve only seen parts of it but the leaked first 10 minutes do a REALLY bad job of explaining what exactly is going on with those 'brain scans' for anyone not already actively aware of the sona theory? Really just kind of glosses past it in favour of jax dramatics...

Like if I wasnt already aware id have 0 clue why jax and ragatha are suddenly freaking tf out and why they just gave up on finding an exist still and then it goes straight into having to deal with the abstracted jax bs

Found some screenshots and even a few seconds of footage. They seem legit.

I'm going to post here a video since that is the one I'm the most confident in being real and not faked.

It seems like they are going to stay there forever. This is the most unsatisfying way to end the show. Them escaping the simulation would've been the good ending, and mass suicide would've been funny at least.

Thank you Brazil, very cool!
Aw man, i was just uploading the final one but it was taking forever. Since i assume most people don't speak portuguese, if you want context of thse leaks i'll post.

TDAC as a psuedo-gnostic allegory leads to some weird conclusions
  • We're stuck within a simulation within kenoma, it's better to stay here in our little world than try to escape
    • Because there is no escape. We aren't even "real people". If the "computer" turns off, we stop existing.
  • Death is good and exists because without it we'd go mad from existing trapped forever
  • Don't bully the demiurge. It's just a good boy dindu nuffin.
  • Your "higher self" is both you and not-you. The you that is you will never experience the higher levels of reality/existence and you just need to be happy for other-you and accept it.
Let me know what else I might be missing here, guys.

no he properly did, he got into a murderous rage like 7 minutes in and had to shut the first episode off to take a breath. by the end of it he was saying stuff I offered sincerely to edit out because he was so mad I was pretty sure he might regret some statements. we watched 3 episodes in the sitting.
What was he so mad about specifically?

...So Jax is just going to go out like the angsty blond jerk boy in Infinity Train? I mean I guess that's not surprising on one level, it's just been done before.

I hope Caine really does come back like that and they have a heart to heart, it will piss of a bunch of people on Youtube and I will enjoy their frustration. I kind of feel like he had to come back because the theme of "Don't make anyone feel unwanted,,, :(" was being flagged so hard with him. You have to end with the hug the bad guy who just wants love and acceptance. Jax can be the bad guy who repeatedly makes the choice to push people away as what not to do, but Caine's character seemed to focus too much on the desperate need to belong and the unfulfilled connection most people who express themselves through cartoons would want to bring closure to in their fiction.
So yeah kiwis
"Follow our moral system. Share things in therapy and hold no boundaries. Your traumas and experiences can only be addressed by the commune. If you don't do this, you die."

Two thoughts:

1. They weren't super subtle in foreshadowing the SOMA/brain scan theory if you thought about things for like two seconds. So obviously, 90% of the fanbase will have their minds blown.

2. I am super KEK-ing that the annoying rabbit fucking dies forever. BPD girlies who schlick to him will be having a fucking meltdown and I can't wait for the tears.

Anyone expecting a good ending out of this shit series is beyond retarded.
Internet series always end badly, especially one made by a tranny hack.
I mean (modern) regular series also usually end pretty badly like Arcane, Steven Universe, etc. Honestly its a lot better than I was expecting compared to a lot of its competition. Which is kinda like being the tallest dwarf but still.

Like considering its in some unholy zone between corpo woke hollywood slop and homestuck, it couldve been way, way worse.

Glitch niggers are finally going after Arin like they did with Jax voice actor for having a history of saying the N word.
This is probably the one time I hope they succeed and boot Arin out of Gameoverse because Arin is a double nigger through and through. Probably also the main reason that show is such ass in several ways and didn't ever get picked up by any network until the aust-chinks felt like picking up more video game shows by Egoraptor.

Arcane's ending wasn't the worst tbh, I wish Jayce had gotten a better ending than what he got though. There is no way Jinx is dead
I do find it funny that the only person who got out clean and with an unambiguous happy ending is fucking Singed

I'm using this thread to mention that the new tranny glitch show has a poo poo pee pee baby dinosaur that watches ipad (I have not watched the show only seen the clip). I will NOT be watching that show like I did NOT watch this digital circus show
