Someone superchatted Josh about it on his game stream. And he says he might watch it with PPP because it would be fun. But they (PPP) would have to dress up for it. PPP will have to cosplay as Pomni :story:

There's definitely a case for them trying to make this the post-TADC cash cow. I feel like there's been considerably more astroturfing with Gameoverse compared to the other pilots. Gaslight let its pilot speak for itself, Knights of Guinevere just had Dana's scorn for Disney as its main draw, but for Gameoverse there's this narrative of "This is RubberRoss' passion project 11 years in the making! And WE'RE bringing it to life when nobody else would because we're indie cinema!" that feels extremely forced. That and the concept lends itself to a more episodic, long-running series, possibly setting itself up as Glitch's first multi-season show since Meta Runner.
 
Gameoverse looks like dog shit, I saw better animated shit in the early 2000s on Newgrounds. Zero percent chance it'll catch on like TADC did. The pilot is sitting at 4mil views, currently, but I think that's just because there are a lot of TADC fans paying attention to anything Glitch puts out because they're looking for their newest obsession to distract themselves from their own existence.

Bold move of them to make something that looks like it was pencil drawn and animated at 10fps after producing something as visually appealing as TADC in terms of what will pull in the young and impressionable crowds. I guess it is overall easier to claim you're an 'indie' animation company if you purposefully put out something a child with a tablet could have produced.

This isn’t really TADC / Gooseworx related in a literal sense, but I think it demonstrates how deep the tranny rot goes. Not just for TADC or Goose’s sycophantic fanbase, but for Glitch’s whole production team.

And when the fans of this show aren’t men-LARPing-as-women, it’s men-LARPing-as-soft-bois. Danny North has been posted before in this thread, and the dude gives me the willies. Like, his theories on the show are a bit out there but (generally) fair media criticism from someone who is good at puzzling things out. He apparently got a job offer by figuring out a puzzle on a billboard, so it’s not like he’s an absolute moron.

Nevertheless, Danny strikes me as a Hank Green wannabe - an adult man who cultivates a “nice guy” aesthetic for the sake of one’s private ambitions. Danny has this weird “North Pack” term that he applies to his fans, complete with a cringe moniker (“If you stay wild, you stay free!”). This dude is a divorced computer guy in California who refers to Goose as a woman - the opposite of wild and free. He does things like break down crying in his TADC videos over poor Jax (Preservetube won’t archive it, see clip below) and it comes off as deeply artificial to me.

Maybe this father, computer guy, and adult man really did break down crying while holding a plushie, but I’m convinced he did it for the audience watching. Either way, whether he really did have an embarrassing public meltdown OR humiliated himself for Internet Clout, he strikes me as a cow of his own colour (theory).

TLDR: Even the fans of this show are milky. Truly, Cooper is the Golden Goose(worx) of Cringe that keeps on laying golden turds. This is how I react to seeing the faces of TADC fans IRL:

The fanon interactions between Jax, Ribbit, and Kaufmo are way more fun than anything we've actually gotten from the series in ages. That's what happens when you abandon your funny premise for therapy slop
