Latest episode released. It's honestly a really nice story, and goes in depth into Kinger's backstory. Unfortunate that the marketing's still being pushed hard even after the release of this episode.
I'm fine with the marketing since they still need to fund their show, and Netflix isn't the most reliable method of profit

As for the episode itself, its pretty good

Kinger is voiced by the fat fetish Zelda bird guy lol
It's weird how I can't find Rean anywhere in SonicMega's Kinger performance. The guy usually isn't that good at disguising himself, I could see him pretty easily in Mista and Majima.

Speaking of Majima, it's amusing how Lycoris Recoil also had a heart-to-heart scene between two characters with the same VAs as Pomni and Kinger.

I never expected this, but this show is getting surprisingly good, like, I'm having some genuine enjoyment.

Feels weird enjoying something without any irony in it, specially after Murder Drones... but yeah, it got a good chuckle out of me and the ending honestly made me feel emotional.

Goose might be a weirdo, but they sure know how to make a good series.

To be fair Liam did not set the bar very high.

He sure didn't, kek. But besides Liam's robot schizo adventures, you know how this show is (mis)treated by the internet...

They could've easily just made it sloppy with the same quality as something like Garden of Banban or Poppy's Playtime and people would eat it up. But nope, there's actual effort and passion into it.

It... just feels weird, I didn't expect to care about the characters and laugh at some of the jokes, but I did, and I liked doing it. TADC is definetly below my target demographic, but if I was 14, I could easily see it being my favorite animated series of all time.

Maybe it's too early to say that since it's only episode 3, but man, I really like TADC.

Episode was more focused but it was still too long, developing Kinger character was appreciated but everything else looks like a miss:
Zooble issue is feeling uncomfortable with its "removable parts".
Caine can be easily broken, unless there is some secret plot twist villain, the solution to this entire journey will surely be disappointing.
Gangle having almost no lines is because she is shy, and definitely not because the main cast is overcrowded to sell plushies.
How does the ghost NPC even know/remember Kinger's wife? Will likely never be explained.

Yeah zooble being referred to as they? Fuck this shit why does my taxes go to this translop.
not to say that the episode is bad, but that's the thing that you noticed in terms of tranny bait/self-inserting? how about her* entire monologue about her body and the proposed solutions to it? or how about goose uses her as an avatar to begin with?

*i think the va is a woman and there isn't anything that tells me it's a man, so i will refer zooble as a woman until i start seeing more active tranny behavior

Well, they’re in a simulation, and all that data of what’s happened and who the people are is drifting around somewhere.

Similar stuff happened in the “I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream” game, and since the series is heavily inspired by that, i expect it’s something like that.

A faulty AI made a “evil thing that possess your body” thing for an adventure, evil things tend to say/do things to hurt people, so evil thing pulled the “Kingler’s wife abstracted” data from some memory bank and used it to try and hurt the guy because it’s programmed to be a evil soul in hell trying to escape.

Yeah, if there's anything I would complain is their need to put all of the main cast in the same episode, even if they don't have a good enough reason to be there. We can't make all the 5 Gangle fans sad can we?

I also thought the Zooble issue was pretty meh, my hatred for the non-binary/trans content aside, it just didn't feel going anywhere really. I did find it entertaining mainly because I love watching Caine just being himself.

But overall, I can't really call it bad or even mediocre episode, it was entertaining, it was slighly emotional, some of the jokes made me laugh, it was a good experience. I probably sound like I think this show is a 10/10 "must-watch" series, but nah, I just think it's good.

Pretty good episode, a few too many meta jokes for my taste but the "Please don't come alive" bit got a laugh out of me.

I appreciate that the show was willing to be 100% serious for a moment and not break the tension when Pomni and Kinger were leaving together.

Some references in there I guess. The "fractal noise" bit was probably just about the textures though, but I could be wrong.

"Seven years of computer science for this, huh?" was somewhat informative.

Pomni's voice acting is not really up to quality.

A bit of a "don't imagine a pink elephant" thing there at the end, but they could have done more with it.

As a computer programmer who's written simulations that don't do that (mine throw data away all the time), it's not a given. There are words you can say to get around that ("Landauer limit" and "reversible computation" are the big ones), but that's mostly quantum gibberish and has little support in this kind of world.

Good episode, I liked that personal moment between Pomni and Kinger. I wonder if we are going to get a Christmas special come December?

Didn't think I'd end up liking this but three episodes in and so far I'm invested, I really really hope this doesn't go to shit, because I was also similarly invested in Helluva Boss and that went to shit rather quickly imo.

It's probably excessive pattern matching, but there's also a (virtual-ish) girl/woman with a mask in a book called The Fractal Prince, and the third episode had a throwaway comment about a fractal texture in the first portal. Probably not an intentional reference. Look out for childhood imaginary friend references on the off chance there's something to this.
