Every trans content creator seems to have a complete mental breakdown and quit their art. Same thing happened to the creator of the game Celeste, he shelved his following game after years of development even though he already had released 2 critically and commercially successful games.
It's almost as if being trans is a mental health issue.
My favorite is when the guy behind the SCP animated series trooned out and quit after an episode he spent a long time working on leaked and it was just the protagonist accidentally raping everyone.

How did C&A even go out of business if they can build not one but two hyper-advanced sentient AIs AND take hyper-detailed brainscans of people and smoosh them down to a tiny size apparently without losing anything of value in doing so?

The events of the show take place in 2017 and a bunch of the characters were there long before that, so apparently C&A was pulling off Aperture Science level shit in the mid 90s and yet still somehow went under? How??
Scratch had his brain get scruntched by his cancer, and then Kinger I guess decided to let the company fucking die so he could be a boomer dad for his racially diverse family while neglecting to check on his AI son. Or even thinking of taking the company property with him. Isn't Caine his IP? Why would you create a fucking AI in the mid 90s and then just leave it to rot? Are we sure Kinger isn't the one with a tumor?

That would've been a twist. There never was a C&A building in the first place, Caine just gave everyone a reasonable alibi using their brain scans, but in reality they're all friends of Kinger or Kinger's kids and they fucked around with the old PC kept in a spare room or something. But that would've actually been a way to maybe start to explain the nonsense backstories of the characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I’ve heard GLITCH offered to expand TADC into a second season really early into production, and Nooseworx turned it down. I assumed that offer happened because GLITCH realized the story probably couldn’t be told properly in only nine episodes, but chose not to push harder out of respect for creative autonomy. I can't believe they put their foot down for a theatrical release instead of for fixing these glaring problems. It really was all about money for these people, and always will be.
According to Nooseworx he turned down more episodes because he "didn't want to make a bunch of filler" and "drag out the story longer than it needed to go".

Which was apparently bullshit because even in his truncated "true vision" 9 episode miniseries version most of the episodes were still filler anyway. You can more or less just watch episode 1, 8 and 9 and miss (almost) nothing.

Hey you also need to watch 30 seconds of the gun episode to understand where the "flashbang that instantly fucking vaporizes Jax's mind" came from.

He could also just unabstract them if they were just clones.
Or fucking, upload from backup. Or do a system rollback.
Highlight-hopping through this thread lead me to believe his thinking when writing this was something like "well shit I didn't think of that". I was surprised seeing clips and finding the animation quality to generally be fun and emotive, but it's wasted on Cooper's tumblr-brand SOMA, SOMA itself being another take on an age old thought experiment.

e. Why can't teeth-god make them look like anything they want? Isn't the whole thing they hate how they look (muh trans suffering)?

The backstories made kind of sense if you used the implication from earlier where caine made up the fake escape story. You know the implication of C and A still being operational and the peopel after getting brain scanned byt he headset being moved into stasis pods? Like that'd make more sense and it seemed like one of those "embelished truth mixed with made up bullshit for wacky dramatic fake escape story. The building when we see it isn't in disrepair it's a standard albeit vacant office building with none of the signs of a truly abandoned location implying someone or something is still doing maintenance of a kind possibly. the ai clone shit undoes all shit making sense. before you could just explain it as "oh it's not actually abandoned and they cover up people accidentally getting their brains sucked into the simulation by putting them in stasis" Like that's a cool IRL parallel to the abstraction basement thing too, adding an extra layer of that stuff.

Now I wonder, how bad will the consequences be from this leak? It's one thing for your regular Hollywood junk to get leaked early, but for a show with such obsessive fanbase, I feel like their revenue could actually tank significantly, as well as overall perception of Glitch as a company

There is already a ton of posts on X spoilering any significant detail and throwing shit at Goose for how bad the finale is (at least that's something they got right). Might get even worse if Goose has an actual melty

In hindsight, I feel like this is a cautionary tale for why creatives should not be given total control over their project.

Did we never learn from the failure of Hazbin Hotel? Both of these shows really are the same. Both steer away from the premise shown in their respective pilots. Neither can properly carry out compelling arcs that had early potential to be interesting. Neither GW or Vivziepop can listen to critique until its too late, and regularly crash out due to their hatred for their own fandoms.

GW admitting the show blew up beyond their skill level and that they probably shouldn’t be the figurehead could be a very becoming statement... but this all could have been avoided if they hadn't spent the whole show saying they weren’t going to change the episode scripts, even though these problems were all complained about really early on. They had three years worth of grace to actually course correct based on the criticism they were getting. Did nobody at GLITCH warn GW about the reaction EP 9 would receive if they refused to change shit? Is there really no one trying to tardwrangle this script right now?

What hacks. It really is bleak for western animation.
Kind of reminds me how the creator of Bob's Burgers initially piloted the show as a Sweeney Todd knock off, but then was steered into what the show became currently because you can't really do much with that original premise alone. Oh, also, if any of you want to view the full pilot, here it is:

Basically in short, don't let the creative people take full control of their works. They will give you the worst version of it.

The only possible way to redeem this is if the leaked version was a bullshit red herring made to be leaked and the actual episode is something completely different.

Which obviously isn't the case and Cooper just sucks at making stories lol lmao

What's even more insane about that is GW put out a Xitter post a while ago asking how to improve as a writer, and 90% of the fan complaints was there wasn't enough filler.

See that would make sense, but apparently Gooseworx doesn't understand the true state of disrepair a building can attain after being abandoned for over a decade. The office that Pomni remembers looks like something that people still actively fucking work at.

This is funny because the random adventures were way more enjoyable than the budget soma main plotline.

To these people, a "filler" episode is one in which nothing happens whatsoever. However, because TADC has characters spaz out and have a realistic portrayal of a panic attack basically every episode where nothing else happens, it is no longer filler.
