So what are the easiest ways to get access to these shows for someone in the west? I remember I had access to an FTP with a bunch of Kamen Rider some years ago but have since forgotten where that was, so any tips would be appreciated.
Depends what you want to watch. It's a lot like anime where most was initially available via fansubs. Here's a good list of those available at the usual tracking sites.

And here's a list of official ones:

The easiest to get into is Ultraman. The vast majority is available legitimately on most major steaming services, new series are uploaded to YouTube as they air and subtitled. They also have many physical releases from Mill Creek.

Sentai is slowly but surely being officially subtitled by Shout Factory. Releases first come via DVD until added to most steaming sites months after.

Rider is being worked on by several companies. Shout has the most right now with a handful available via most steaming places. They're also releasing them on Blu-ray. Discotek is also getting into it with Kamen Rider Black coming soon from them.

A couple releases here and there from other companies like most of Garo is available officially.

Maybe the solid colors will look better in motion, but as static images they sorta lack definition.
Like the toy missed a step in the painting process

Dairanger Toy set coming out.

More digging around through archive.org, quite a bit of toku content, including some indies and such. Such as here, the first two films in the parodic He-Low series, directed by Hassei Takano and starring various familiar faces which follows a trio of ragtag tokusatsu heroes trying to fight villains on a shoestring budget in a world where tokusatsu heroes have become uncool. Noted scenes include Gaia and Ryuki showing up to help out in the first film but even the villains worry that there's going to be some

Got to see shin ultraman in theathers and thought it was great. I kinda loved the structure being a ultraman compilation movie that cuts out most of shinjis (new hayata) scenes. All the flying scenes just made my giddy

I debated putting this in the Disney fandom thread but I wonder how it would be if Disney kept the rights to power rangers but otherwise became Disney as we know them in regards to Marvel, Star Wars, Fox, etc. Would PR be better off if it got to stick under a more prosperous Disney, or would it be ignored past the bare minimum?
