Ghost has a ton of soul and charm. The cast is great, the action is good, and the dynamic between the riders is kino, but its heavily flawed.
The enemies are weak as shit, the plot is weak, and one rider goes from OP as shit to weak sauce after becoming a hero. The V-cinema is unadulterated, pure KINO, with one of the best final fights in Rider history.
I always laugh when people shit on Kiva, Wizard, Ghost and Saber when fucking Revice is the top peak of dogshit. Unironically the worst Rider season ever made.
I've had a crush on Akari ever since I've watched the show

I honestly didn't even give Revice the time of day. The suits were lame, the concept was dumb, and it turned out the rest of it sucked too.

Tojima Wants to be a Kamen Rider is also sparking the dumbest controversy yet I've seen on Twitter, especially Toku-twitter - the character of Yuriko has a big bust (like, you expect anything else from the creator of Air Master?) and thus is reflective that anime and/or toku "don't treat women well" and anime/toku are "misogynistic". So many finger wagging puritanical scolds trying to act like they're authorities and shame people for "not getting it".
these "fans" are telling on themselves because toku has plenty of good female rep, they wouldn't know that because they dont watch toku outside of tiktok clips. same retards who were obsessed with the idea of sachika (kamen rider gavv) becoming a rider because gurl power!!1!! . so a woman is only useful if she can transform? not thats not hecking progressive smh...

Revice's main writer was a male feminist who wanted to make a female rider show but was denied by Toei. They then hired him and he shoved the main riders out of the spotlight for his female rider and her (unironically) lesbian friend who eat up a ton of the show. They then waste the 50 episode slot on slop and throw what could have been a good 50th anniversary show out the window.

The most obnoxious fans are the ones who idolize female riders like Valkyrie, who was a total cunt in the show and helped the villains even after her arc concluded.

This is the sort of nonsense TokuTwitter is going on about.

"Toku has never been good at representing women!"

"Here are a bunch of women in toku."

(said through gritted teeth) "Not. Good. Enough!"

Their standard for "good female characters in toku" seems to be they're not good if they aren't the most Mary Sue-est of Mary Sues. "Women dying means they're bad characters!" What a brainwashed simpleton.

Whether people like it or not, Kamen Rider will always be marketed to boys. Wasn't it enough for them that Majade became the first secondary Kamen Rider ever because she's a girl? Or even go back to 1975 where Stronger had Tackle? Probably not.

Imagine being this angry over a franchise for boys with only a few female Kamen Riders.

Saddle them with real-life problems and they'll probably shut up.

I think the funniest thing about the fanbase is is that if they got their wish and had the most girl-boss MC to ever girl-boss, who happens to hate men and is a queer disabled rider it would murder the series dead. Even Sentai hasn't gone this far, and Sentai swallowed the woke pill ages ago.

She was also a complete joke whose reputation only improved because Kamen Rider Valvarad and Gozyu Polar managed to be even more pathetic than her.

Don't forget other strong characters who never transform like Ruriko, Reiko, Mari, Natsumi, Akiko, Yuki, Kiriko, Akari, Mei, Renge, and Sachika.

I liked Majade, but she and Valvarad have the same problem of only getting their upgrades that make them competitive right before the show ended.
Gotchard in general felt...off.
I liked the toys, the suits and the villains, but everything else was just so flat. Not outright BAD, or nauseating like Gavv (good story on not, the suits, toys and sound effects instantly turned me off), but just flatter than paper.
Geats was such a powerhouse and even though it fell off, I can still say its the best we've had in Reiwa, with Saber being a close second ( I am the only man alive who LOVED Saber lmao)
Zeztz is good thus far, I just hope it sticks the landing. Don't fuck it up, Takahashi...

Well obviously, they weren't as important as a FOUR-PART ARC all about Kamen Rider Another Another Decade Legend to promote his toys. Meanwhile Majade's Driver was exiled to Premium Bandai while Valvarad had to use one of Gotchard's hand-me-downs for his.

Which is funny because Legend was one of the best parts of the show.
I liked Valvarad as a psuedo-rider but he fell flat as soon as he became a rider. Majade was good but like you said you can tell she was an experimental character, to test the waters for a female led rider series. Probably why Gavv was an all male rider cast.
(If the bitchy cop in Zeztz becomes a rider I'll scream)

Don't get me wrong, I like the actor and suit design, but Legend has the same problem I had with Suga in Gavv. He just felt divorced from the overall plot and hogged screentime that other characters really needed.

I love how he got beat up so often, yet when he turned evil for a single episode, we were supposed to take him seriously as a threat.
Probably why Gavv was an all male rider cast.
I'm pretty sure a big part of why so many people expected Sachika to become a Rider was because every Reiwa show had at least one female Rider. Which is strange, because I don't remember people wanting Mei or Tsumuri to become Riders while their respective shows were airing.
(If the bitchy cop in Zeztz becomes a rider I'll scream)
Hey, her name is Nem-chan, and she was only police chief for a day in one guy's dream.

they have to add adult level media literacy to everything to look smart or project whatever bs they want like how black sun was an allegory on the whole blm thing.
As always, it had to be the niggers and their forever-victim complex while Aoi was the autism-free version of Greta Thunberg.

I remember the time when a lot of tokusatsu fans weren't so cringe unlike now. Now, a lot of them are either too busy trying to virtue-signal or being creeps in general.

Too many newer Western toku fans need to be knocked down a several pegs. They have nothing to offer but "media literate" takes, accusing people of "glazing" Japan, and other AnimeTwitter and AnimeTikTok style antics. While I'm happy to see people enjoy Tokusatsu, these people never seem to appreciate anything they are supposedly fans of, and their supposed fandom comes off more like contempt for whatever medium they fixate on. Among the worst are the ones who obviously have never watched anything pre-2000s, but feel the need to bloviate at great length about what Showa-era shows were all about.

Uhg, those snobs who refuse to watch the Showa-era because "they're primitive / have simple stories / lame costumes." Of course the franchise hasn't been taken to a different direction yet. Only reason why some of these people know the original series is so they can virtue-signal how Kamen Rider #1 is against Nazis.

I don't even understand that. Modern costumes are still the same rubber/foam combo that breaks down and looks like shit by the finale that they used in 1974.

funny how none of them have watched any showa rider, but glaze hongo because he fights LiTeRAl nazis. and yeah thats because they are not fans, niche hobbies and nerd shit is mainstream they're only here for the trend. once those things become less popular they'll go back to openly hating everything japanese.

I'm on epi 5 and I'm enjoying it. I like that the Eyecons aren't just Japanese legends but also Western. The only drawback was in epi 4 where Takeru whips out Newton and I was confused for a second and had to go on the wiki to find out that he got it in a movie before the series aired.

It's sad to read that Revice is that bad...but it'll be a long while until I get to that and make a decision about watching or skipping. As of right now I will skip Hibiki since I hear that it's a musical.

At what point in KM do I need to start watching the V-Cinema? Especially since the wiki states

V-Cinema releases

Direct-to-video releases, films focusing on secondary riders and storylines, began appearing during the franchise's Heisei era. Hyper Battle Videos are episodes included with Televi-Kun magazine.

Watch Revice so you can appreciate the other shows that fans label as "Bad", like Saber or Ghost. It has some good elements, a teriary rider that's so fucking based everyone loved him over the main riders, and a cool as fuck miniseries. Its just everything else around it that ruins it.
Hibiki is good, but its such a vast departure from rider shows like Blade or Kabuto, it almost deserves to be in a category of its own. The first 29 episodes are very....relaxed. The riders aren't battling each other, the main character is a kid (normally a bad thing but he's honestly really likable), the villains are interesting, and the supporting characters are superb. The movie is KINO.
As for the other 19 episodes....they're fine. If you liked the past 29's style and writing you'll hate it, since it goes from a coming of age story with a mentor figure trying to guide a kid lost in his life into becoming generic rider stuff. Its not bad but the writing is inconsistent and the characters get 180-ed in many ways. A second main character is introduced and he's such a dickhead. The reason why it has such a shift in writing style and quality is because Hibiki's toy sales were ABYSMAL, and thus Toei panicked and fired almost all the staff on the show and installed regulars to try and save the show, but it was too late.
I say as a final remark that you should watch it. BUT, try to find the 30 FPS version, the 60 FPS version looks like hot, salty ass.

The wiki is 99% accurate when it comes to watch orders. Ghost's V-cin (which again is unfiltered KINO) should be one of the last things you should watch. Some take place during the show but most are post series. I mean, Saber's takes place 8 years after the show.
