The only reason why I went with dungeon bricks is that I didn't want explosions to destroy my building. Then again, I don't use bombs and the clowns haven't been able to do that since 1.2. Smooth granite looks amazing though.

I need ideas for my expert mode storage room. Anyone have something that looks good and is functional? Every time I build one, it inevitably turns into a shitshow after my chests just start gathering up random shit that is somewhat adjacent to a single item inside, despite an entire other chest dedicated to that exact item.

I usually go by a 12 category system, with 2 for each chest, so about 24 chests in total
  1. Tools
  2. Weapons
  3. Ammo
  4. Armor
  5. Accessories
  6. Potions
  7. Misc.
  8. Boss Summons
  9. Blocks/Walls
  10. Furniture
  11. Seeds
  12. Materials

as in its a separate thing that no longer requires an accessory or just meant as a key bind for the dash accessories?
The latter. You can now enable and disable "double tap dash" as well as be able to set a keybind to dash when you want while using things like SoC and MNG.
So, no more throwing yourself into lava while making bridges in the underworld for WoF.

>it's not a separate ability now

well we can dream I guess.

I mean, the idea of getting a free dash ability is likely never going to happen. It's already bad enough that the Rollerskates and Chillet mount already invalidate some of them most used accessories in the game. I don't think we need to make it even worse.

Maybe giving the player one from the get go when they spawn would be bad idea, I just wish the game did more with stuff like the Demon Heart in Expert mode in terms of permanent upgrades to the player beyond straight heart and mana crystals, Shimmer pushed into that territory with extra consumables, but I think having something like the dash given as a permanent upgrade for beating EOC, or maybe a later boss, instead of just an accessory would be neat.

I'd also add that I feel some things need to be more cordoned into their own areas, fishing should be it's own equipment slot, there should be more vanity in terms of hooks.

I love the Troonsword

It can melt Plantera in 15 seconds, and i have everything reforged to warding, so not even damagemaxxing here

Terraria has been this for years

For me, yoyos made me notice.

They added a series of magic-missiles-on-a-string that do melee damage, get melee buffs, get elemental damage types, and are technically ranged weapons.

Yoyos made me fall off playing Terraria for a while because making a weapon class that has the perks of every other weapon type (except summons, but you can have summons as well) kinda ruined the combat for me. Yoyo-only playthrough was an absolute fucking cakewalk.

With the insane range you have on "Craft from Chests", you can make something like this and not have many issues.

You will need something like an Extendogrip to reach all your portable inventories, though you can move some things around to be able to reach everything without it. You can also build this anywhere if you kill an EoC in a skyblock seeded world.

You can make even more efficient since it seems like a 2x1 set of bubble blocks filled with Shimmer is all it takes to decraft things.

Did the same last night :gunt:
Dig/fly your way to the very top of the map in the sky trust me
Nice try, i know that kills you

Early game is really ass, but since i died a fuckton of times, i realized that i could just plant my tombstones so i could acquire the Abigail summon. That i did, then i lucked out that a mimic spawned. With 1200 HP it took a while, but i was awarded with a mace

Now i have somewhat good means of crowd control with decent knockback, but i still need to find stone to progress through the game

There are also "hive slimes" in the Jungle biome which randomly release bees while they're alive.
Honestly, so far i'm hooked

There's SO many traps in the world, you have to constantly stay on your toes when exploring. Pic related, just went for a 5 minute exploration and disarmed all those traps. And even so you have to be careful because pressure plates often trigger multiple traps, boulders, statues... But i had a good run just now, found two (!) heart statues in the same cabin

Enemies are pretty tanky and deal ridiculous amount of damage, i miss being scared playing this game. Eye of Cthulhu was a breeze though, killed in the first try. You have a lot of space on your starting area to make a nice arena for it. It's legendary AI consists only of a few more dashes and spawning more little eyes, which is more of a help than a threat since they drop hearts

Killed him with the mace and a shitty bow with frostburn arrows

Don't say that too loudly or mr burns will want a few to go with his hounds. Might not be hounds that spit bees at people when they bark but its a step in that direction. Maybe have the hounds eat the slimes first?
