With regards to the pp, it's very much a hard throttle.I'd laugh if that is the actual reason.
I saw some footage of the game barely working from its launch, it looks alright, I'm interested to see how the whole blue bar replacing PP plays out in actual battles and not just easy early game battles. I liked the Colosseum games focus on double battles so I kind of like seeing a game more directly design a pokemon-esque game around double battles. The art style looks kind of eh, it is like anime yet not anime, it just looks strange just go full anime if you want to make an anime game. I also hate the lazy "voice acting" that just spouts random lines as that shit gets old fast especially when you don't have competent voice talent.
I might give the game a shot once I see it actually finished as I have absolutely no faith in any potential of a Steam early access game enough to put down even 10 dollars let alone 35.
Stamina in temtem scales a lot lower than any other stat. to the point that when my temtem have hp in the 70-90 range, my stamina is still mid 30s. This means that getting a
'good' and a 'cheap' temtem move is always a factor to consider. 4 Move Slot Syndrome is even worse in this game.
You'll go a lot further in the game once you realise a simple trick: let the enemy exhaust himself. NPC Tamers don't generally switch out, so once a temtem's low on stamina, every turn they attack will 'overexert' them, dealing damage and causing them to lose a turn. This means that you can focus way more on their remaining temtem, and burn through those very quickly. If you've played pokemon, imagine Truant mixed with every move having recoil damage.
