I'm still not entirely sure what the fuck gamers are even supposed to do in this scenario. The studio is shutting down after it releases what's gonna be subpar - if even that - titles, there's nothing gamers can do except express condolences which plenty have. There's nothing of value they can input in the civil case*, either, for that matter. Outrage over an already defeated cause doesn't really do anything, if anything it's acting like those dang GobblyGrabbers -- although even then most of them quit. It's really just a "never again" scenario... until, you know, it happens again and we repeat the cycle of outrage, doing nothing, forgetting about it, etc. She can go on ahead, though, she can create those comics... I'm sure that'll put food on their plate.
*Hell I'm not even sure there's any fucking money left for the class action lawsuit to mean anything.
All of this said, though... There is a problem with Publishers and irresponsible Development Studios. Publishers are pretty much that guy who is holding a person hostage and there's no clean shot. A boycott will likely lead to firings anyways because of under-performance and not enough funds to keep the ball rolling at its size. I haven't ever seen them actually listen to petitions, either. Not the big ones anyways. Then you got the assholes who have no idea what the word foresight means, but sure as hell knows tunnel-vision. Such assholes like Telltale Games and 38 Studios -- although Rhode Island was a bit fucky with 38 Studios. As much as I've come to dislike unions or guilds, plus the current crop of politics doesn't exactly inspire trust or hope for fairness, it's really the only solution here for developers. Problem is, though, it's on the developers to start that and the job market is flooded with applicants if I'm not mistaken. So Publishers can just skip union backed developers.
If you can't get people to stop buying shoes made by some twelve year old in Vietnam or China - by the way, how dare you want that child to starve and no longer provide for their family - how the fuck do you think you're gonna get people to stop buying games? Especially since most people don't even read the fucking news about it.

From what I remember with that comic, a popular Twitter sperg making a tweet on it led to "harassment" or something and it conveniently could lead to white knights donating to the patreon for the artist.
On topic with TellTale Games,if there really isn't any money left for those that win the lawsuit, one can only imagine what sort of shit the owner can go through in not being able to pay back those that got laid off.

I think they're a popufur, too, but I can't swear by it. I have no idea how that fandom works, but I've seen them pop up time to time without exactly looking for them. Might be someone worth keeping an eye on if they're this desperate for attention.
As for the head honchos of TellTale Games... I think maybe the equipment might be auctioned off, monitors, chairs, even the mugs... but I don't know if anything of their personal property will be at stake. I think whatever profits come from these unreleased titles might go to the devs. However, I don't like misleading so let's ask our resident legal specialist: @AnOminous. How fucked would the guys running TellTale Games be if they don't have enough money to pay off the laid off?

Usually there's no obligation to pay off anyone. You can lay off people if it's just profitable to do that, or if you can no longer afford to pay them, so long as you pay them for whatever hours they actually worked. If there are contracts to the contrary, the contracts control, though.
There might be some exception, like when they were still hiring right before firing everyone, and people relied on that to spend their own money or time to move to where they were supposed to be working, or even if their moving costs were covered but now they have to spend money to move back. That would be under a theory called detrimental reliance.
Not sure what everyone else is suing over, though.

Seems to be they're citing the WARN Act and California doesn't have the clause Federal does that would allow TellTale to avoid the lawsuit. The clause being that unforeseen circumstances forced their hand -- such as Lionsgate pulling out.

How fucking oblivious do you have to be to just fire people without severance, then have a bunch of randoms take over other's hard work and credit? This just makes me angry now.
Perhaps it'll be better for them if somebody else takes credit for this...

These comics really do have an element of being terrible. It's like they fulfill that one comic where the opposition is suppose to be dense and wacky while the self-insert is "cool and level-headed".

Doing that would require one to think that maybe the gaming spergs are empathetic to developers but that would go against whatever idea there is in the heads of those that REEEEEE at gamers.
