Good riddance.

Incompetent company that strives off current trends in society. They had the worst managers in the world from what I understand, and the fact that they had more than 300 employees working there just goes to show that this was bound to happen. To put that into perspective, Bethesda had about 100 employees working on Skyrim, as well as even less after that for the ports and the Remaster.

Still, it is a shame that so many people were forced to lose their jobs due to some cunts that had no idea what they were doing. I'm just glad I was able to see a conclusion to some of the games I actually did care about, like Sam & Max. While they weren't the best games in the world, I enjoyed them when they first came out.

Anything post-TWDS1 was starting to show their quality drop. The fact that they used the Interactive Story bullshit as an excuse for how linear and lackluster their games ended up turning out to be really goes to show where the company was starting to turn.
The first Witcher game was made in a shack in the Katyn Forest by 20 poles with a few million zloty and it actually had consequences in its story and some kind of interactivity. There really is no excuse.

The issue is that they took IP's that weren't profitable and people lost faith in their products because they put out poorly written garbage. The state of their falling apart also suggests that the company was a clusterfuck in regards to management.

There were so many games being put out of different franchises to cash in on their popularity which should have been a red flag that there wasn't much focus for the company. Put it this way, it's a small-ish studio that, in the span of 2012 to 2018, has made games based off of The Walking Dead series, The Wolf among us, Game of thrones, Borderlands, Batman, Minecraft, and Guardians of the Galaxy, and in addition made DLC and sequels for several of these, not to mention a planned Stranger Things game(https://archive.is/OQCyv). A little focus goes a long way, but they got greedy and wanted to cash in on these IPs successes.

EDIT:

I take back my comment about them being small. They are even bigger fuckups than I thought if what you say is true.

I feel bad for women who do a good job in games, this whole gender hiring ideologues out of games courses is making the incels look right and making it harder for the women working in the industry.

I really liked their series of Homestarrunner.com themed games.

That was good shit.
I wanted to like them but I kept wandering off after a little while. I get really bored with having to push buttons to make a cartoon happen when I just want to watch a cartoon.

Hell being woke seems to have been used as a cover for shitcanning industry veteran Amy Hennig and replacing her with a man.

Since Telltale is now known for a horrible work environment and using their employees like slaves, since most of those were women, wouldn't this mean the allegedly "woke" Telltale Games was abusing women?

Women are less likely to speak up for themselves in the work place in general. Coincidentally this trend originates with Silicon Valley tech companies.

Hmmmm....

That's a shame, really. I loved GoT and The Wolf Among Us, and I was waiting for the end of TWD.

Did the company have so many women when the first two Walking Dead seasons were made? That might explain alot.

their possibly last episode of the walking dead came out. i liked it, though i was pretty shit at killing the walkers

300 employee's for what is technically just a better looking Microsoft powerpoint document, that sounds absolutely re.tarded, especially when telltale games look like cell shaded garbage anyway. From how it sounds too, a lot of those people are diversity hires, there too look different for the camera and do zero work. If telltale had any foresight as to how screwed they were, they could have prevented/fixed this a long time ago.

But in a way, i'm glad we won't see a second season on TWAU or see TWD finished, from how much telltale have fallen from grace, I don't trust them to make games and stories of the same quality they could 3/4 years ago.

Lol. Things are getting only worse. I really pity this developers right now.

How fucking oblivious do you have to be to just fire people without severance, then have a bunch of randoms take over other's hard work and credit? This just makes me angry now.
