Changes have been made to how drafts are posted
So, I'm assuming that it has something to do with embeds and a way to avoid the pedonigger abusing them to plant CSAM on the servers without posting anything? Any draft issues to be reported will likely relate to embeds? Yes?

Like how terrorists were caught sending messages to each other by sharing an email account and saving emails as drafts? Interesting, could be. I still wonder why this gay nigger even hates the farms.

Right, I forgot that I'd need to ask someone to relay what I have to say for it to be acknowledged.
Like how the transcoding of the KF player doesn't account for HDR data so clips that rely on it end up looking washed out but if they get directly opened then the web browser will read the HDR data and tonemap the video on SDR displays so that it'll look correct. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mysterious.

But I guess it’s a good idea not to trust drafts staying there long.

Id like to ask as to how does the new draft changes work? Particularly because My guess is that it's no longer hosted on the server but on the end user who is making the draft.
ideally, as far as you're concerned, not any differnt.

Null has figured out how to make it so that a draft containing any illegal material will cause the user's computer to explode.

Actually, there's a fun idea. WASM Proof Of Work for attachments that runs on the user's computer. But, that PoW is really a tiny AI model that does a first classification pass on the item(s) to be uploaded.
Edit: as the AI points out, this is still easily spoofed. So, run the same lightweight classifier server side, if the results don't match then the user is flagged as sus and put in the tarpit. If they do match but classify into "NSFW" or whatever then the user also gets flagged as sus and put in the tarpit. The AI suggests a different model server side so that improves coverage like a "CLIP Zero Shot Classifier" which I think it just made up.

Last update to the video player has made the controls inaccessible. The video plays on click, but then does not respond to further clicks. Controls can be tabbed to but they remain off canvas. Tor Browser and Brave.

@Null
I didn't realize it had been 12 months and Proton.me deleted the email address I used to sign up for the farms. Is there any way to switch it over to a different email, or do I need to make a new Farms account when the next forced password reset gets implemented?
idk homie go to your account settings and poke around wtf am i supposed to say

like 70% of the time consuming user management I do goes to either people who lock themselves out of their own fucking accounts or use the same credentials everywhere and get hacked because they can't manage an email address and password.

I hope it's not based on the user's locale, or my computer will explode if I just say "hello".

Anyway. My intermittent tests with posting some images for an article have not shown any obvious problems. Chalk one up for the good guys?

There's some weird shit going on in the lolicon thread with post times.

I noticed a few posts on the most recent page weren't getting marked as read, even after I refreshed the page twice. I marked all forums as read and that seems to have fixed it, but now the latest post by @Gibs is right under my own post which I had made 10+ hours ago, despite there being several posts beneath it. I'm using a Firefox-based browser on the clearnet address, the unread messages thing has been happening since I first logged on today and just reappeared with Gibs' post, and the time-bending posts thing happened just now. The bug is persistent both when I'm logged in and with cleared cookies.

Do files that get drafted but not posted get swept/deleted over time?
I ask because sometimes I'll try to upload a video and it will reach 100%, but not actually get there, or I'll upload a video, and it looks like it hasn't posted, so I edit it, then I when I upload it again there are two copies, so I delete one, but I don't know if the deleted version is still being stored somewhere so I feel bad about wasting service space.

Test video while I'm here:

For some reason clicking on videos no longer pauses them? I accidentally clicked on a video and now I'm fucking locked into hearing a straight minute of Steven Dawson ribbiting? There is no pause button and I cannot stop him.

You might be running into this:
Images often get size="0x0" set in the BB code during preview causing them to be invisible, you can remove it with the toggle code [] button. I think it started when Null tried to restrict size in auto thumbnails, it's been like that for a while and probably the same thing for video.
I encounter this (Tor Browser if it matters) on nearly every post I create with multiple images. I don't post enough videos to know if it's the same thing.

This consistently breaks for me:
  1. Embed an image by pasting a screenshot
  2. (If you wait, an HTML draft autosave submits the correct size: <p>test <img src="..." data-attachment="thumb:9468354" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii" style="max-width: 250px; max-height: 250px; width: auto; height: auto;" data-size="250x250"></p>)
  3. Enter BB code mode. The correct test [ATTACH size="250x250"]9468354[/ATTACH] is displayed as received from index.php?editor/to-bb-code
  4. If you wait, a BB code draft autosave still submits the correct size: test [ATTACH size="250x250"]9468354[/ATTACH]
  5. But when you exit BB code mode, the image is invisible. The index.php?editor/to-html call submitted bb_code: 'test [ATTACH size="250x250"]9468354[/ATTACH]' and received an img tag with an empty style attribute. Seems like the issue is here.
  6. Now HTML drafts save with 0 size: <p>test <img src="..." srcset="" data-attachment="thumb:9468354" alt="1787604623227.png" class="fr-fic fr-dii" style="max-width: 0px; max-height: 0px; width: auto; height: auto;" data-size="0x0"></p>
  7. Now entering BB code mode shows test [ATTACH size="0x0" alt="1787604623227.png"]9468354[/ATTACH]
  8. Sometimes it recovers by toggling in and out again

This is only affecting the WYSIWYG view, I'm not getting missing images in the preview or final post with this route, but I've seen that too. I'm guessing this went unnoticed because most people don't touch BB code mode very often, I don't think it has anything to do with your recent draft changes.

Different thing. It just sometimes seems like a failed upload, but then if I click "Post" and check the post sometimes I see it, or duplicates, as attachments. Then I just edit and delete the extra.
