It's funny how the video done by the guy who has had almost no input on DBZA was the most heartfelt and well-elaborated out of all of them. Hearing Kirran or even Grant talk about DBZ and then hearing Kaiser or Lani talk about it, you get the sense the actual core group kind of resent the series for making them popular. In the Kakarot LP you could tell how annoyed Kaiser and Lani were while playing it and how much they just wanted to slog through the whole thing as fast as they could. But then there was a different stream like a week or two later that Kirran was on and there was a whole bit with him sperging out about how cool the game was and seeing that contrast made you feel that DBZA still might be thing if it was still a labor of love for the people actually involved..

I also think it's interesting how Taka got replaced in these countdowns like 2 or 3 years ago. I wonder if there's behind the scenes drama shit going on there and if it contributed to DBZA ending.
Well, TFS did say that they were getting burned out with DBZA. And then you have the people here saying things like Kaiser not doing the Buu saga simply because he doesn’t like it and his say goes because he’s the de facto director. And then there’s the shift in how the show played out in the Cell saga. All that’s missing is word/rumors of Toei sandbagging TFS’ chances of advancing in their industry.

It's primarily because Taka is in Canada, while most of the crew is in Texas (Masako is in Britain).

On the other hand however Kaiser most likely wouldn't be able to resist yaoi Goten and Trunks, Masakox despises the Spovivich vs Videl fight and I imagine their take on it could be really unfunny, poking fun at the flaws of the Buu Saga could easily become unfunny like with the Waking the Dragons arc of Yugioh Abridged where Little Kurbioh got way too reliant on the "Season 4 is dumb" jokes.
I liked Goku/Cell homoerotic theme because it made sense in the context of the story/dub and was a foundation for some cool quips. I wouldn't mind if Kaiserneko put all his gay shit in Buu saga if the dub was funny. During the last two episodes of Cell saga it was painfully, unfunny obvious TFS ran out of jokes. If they were still going the only funny thing about this would be the Youtube comments on their videos.

I actually like the more character driven humor of the latter seasons. I think my favorite joke from the conclusion is Vegeta apologizing to Gohan causing him to realized how fucked they are.

The internet is certainly upset as it appears that manga publisher Shueisha is issuing a barrage of copyright strikes to any and all streamers and reviewers that are reviewing their manga. One YouTuber claimed that all of their reviews are being taken down due to copyright claims from Shueisha. So far, the list of strikes are targeting the following series: One Piece, Bleach, Jujustu Kaisen, Haikyuu!!, Food Wars, Dr Stone, Saiki K, Demon Slayer), Death Note, Kuroko’s Basketball, Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto, Boruto, Dragon Ball, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Black Clover. Of course, this is just the list that’s being given and many other titles not listed could also be targeted.

Pulling an Evangelion now, so if there's fanart your interested in, you better save it.

Totally Not Mark's channel is fucking screwed lol, like you think Toei's bad? Shueisha's worse.

Seriously, though, why're they pulling reviews when a good portion of them are positive reviews? Japan doesn't agree with our fair use, but I guess they're just allergic to money.
Japan is the embodiment of "Consume product, then get excited for next product" consoomerism.

Man why does all the dumb shit have to be revealed right as the site goes down?

Also what is this Entersphere orbiter-tier garbage? So lemme get this straight:

This guy orchestrated this entire thing, decided to abuse the broken copyright system, hitting thousands upon millions of people in process, including artists that worked for Toei themselves. All of this, because he had a crush on - and decided to stalk - some One Piece theorizer's girlfriend. That is some next-level autism; I'm honestly shocked that nothing's happened to this guy yet. I would've expected Toei, Shueisha, Twitter, anyone to go after him for the shitload of unwarranted backlash they got from this whole thing.

You don't understand, he did it for love

The idea is funny - Goku and Cell enjoy fighting more than anything else and therefore get "excited" at the idea of fighting each other. Some of the quips during their actual fight were chuckle-worthy, Cell acting like a jilted ex-girlfriend after Goku forfeits is funny. But their whole first meeting and Goku spreging out about how handsome Cell is afterwards wasn't funny and beats you over the head with the notion that it was made because Kaiser probably wrote a Goku x Cell fanfic when he was 15.

It's the same thing with Korin and Yajirobe, they went way too fucking far with it. "Haha, they live together and bicker so what if we made them like an old Jewish married couple" isn't a terrible premise for a handful of off-hand jokes. Making a video about their marriage proposal in the wake of gay marriage being federally legal and making 3 of the movies about their wedding including one where they're FUCKING DRAWN IN BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN THE OFFICIAL VERSION is way over the top and reeks of them thinking they're legitimate progressive pioneers for LBGTQ+ characters in internet meme anime parodies.

TFS had a really bad habit of doing that as the series went on. One of the more egregious examples off the top of my head was in The World's Strongest where they changed the ending from Goku using the spirit bomb on Dr. Wheelo, to instead creating a shitload of new drawn assets and stitching them together in order to make it so that Dr. Wheelo gets his body back.
The reason given by the team in one of their countdowns, IIRC, as to why they did this was because the team sympathized with Dr. Wheelo and felt that the actual ending of World's Strongest was awful and bad, and that THEY could do it better.

The art wasn't good, but in the grand scheme of villainy Wheelo is pretty low on the list even without the TFS interpretation. I'd say their ending was better, especially with Goku putting the spirit bomb down and it exploding which is one of the funnier movie gags.

Well I mean it was on par with the crappier-looking episodes of DBZ, but I don't think that was their intention.
