They also ran out material and their gags went old. Seeing let's plays of old DBZ games (especially the shitty ones) was fun, the Pokemon Nuzlocke add good conversation and most Vegeta/Krillin plays were good. By 2018 they ran out of games and pretty much completely limited themselves to boring ass StrikerZ (protip, nobody gives a shit about watching a fighting game besides very specific autists), they fucked up the entire concept of a Nuzlocke and had tons of dead air, and the Vegeta/Krilling noticably decreased in quality to be even more spouting memes. That a shame, I remember their streams and let's play channel being fairly popular back in 2014-2018, Their streams back then, even non-DBZ related ones, could pull in 10K watchers because they were actually entertaining, even non-core members like Grant and Kirran were enjoyable enough to watch on there own that you'd see them pull in a pretty good audience. I even remember TFS at the table, their D&D streams, actually looking like it would end up as the second most popular D&D stream on Twitch, just behind Critical Role.
The same could be said of their Let's Play channel back in those times, any major release they played would consistently get 100K+ views per episode all the way to the finale, and some of those series ran for 50+ episodes! That's a pretty good amount of their core audience they managed to pull in to a gaming/ streaming channel, especially when you consider how many other big YT channels tried to hop on the Let's Play/ Steaming bandwagon of the early-mid 2010's back then only to fall flat. All things considered, the TFS gaming channel should've been considered a success back in its hay-day.
You know, as I type this out, I'm starting to think that maybe TFS's massive drop in overall popularity is less due to them canning DBZ:A (though that is certainly a part of it) and more due to them just...not being as fun or as entertaining as they were a few years ago. I don't know, maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but I would almost swear that the TFS of 2013-2017 would make an Office clone that was actually funny and feel, well, less like an Office clone compared to the one that post 2010's TFS made.
