That a shame, I remember their streams and let's play channel being fairly popular back in 2014-2018, Their streams back then, even non-DBZ related ones, could pull in 10K watchers because they were actually entertaining, even non-core members like Grant and Kirran were enjoyable enough to watch on there own that you'd see them pull in a pretty good audience. I even remember TFS at the table, their D&D streams, actually looking like it would end up as the second most popular D&D stream on Twitch, just behind Critical Role.

The same could be said of their Let's Play channel back in those times, any major release they played would consistently get 100K+ views per episode all the way to the finale, and some of those series ran for 50+ episodes! That's a pretty good amount of their core audience they managed to pull in to a gaming/ streaming channel, especially when you consider how many other big YT channels tried to hop on the Let's Play/ Steaming bandwagon of the early-mid 2010's back then only to fall flat. All things considered, the TFS gaming channel should've been considered a success back in its hay-day.

You know, as I type this out, I'm starting to think that maybe TFS's massive drop in overall popularity is less due to them canning DBZ:A (though that is certainly a part of it) and more due to them just...not being as fun or as entertaining as they were a few years ago. I don't know, maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but I would almost swear that the TFS of 2013-2017 would make an Office clone that was actually funny and feel, well, less like an Office clone compared to the one that post 2010's TFS made.
They also ran out material and their gags went old. Seeing let's plays of old DBZ games (especially the shitty ones) was fun, the Pokemon Nuzlocke add good conversation and most Vegeta/Krillin plays were good. By 2018 they ran out of games and pretty much completely limited themselves to boring ass StrikerZ (protip, nobody gives a shit about watching a fighting game besides very specific autists), they fucked up the entire concept of a Nuzlocke and had tons of dead air, and the Vegeta/Krilling noticably decreased in quality to be even more spouting memes.

I feel like a lot of that is because they became plagued with current year politics. Early TFS had absolutely no problem with Hellsing Ultimate have rape jokes, but current year them cringed and hated that they have rape jokes.
I remember in some sort of podcast or livestream or something Kaiser was going on about how “rape jokes are never funny” and Lani immediately responded with “of course not, because they’re forced.” And Kaiser just seemed really mad at him despite everyone else laughing.

That might be the first G-rated rape joke I've ever heard.

Sad thing, they actually went back to their D&D streams and the settiny was really neat choice (like 1930s Toon Town setting), but they essentially stopped after 3 episodes.

Turns out that when you intentionally cut off one of the main forms of comedy - that of partially hurtful mockery - and you don't use that as the new joke, you start losing your ability to be funny.

I'm not going to say I always found the joke funny, but during early season 2, they made a bunch of subversive jokes with Dodoria, Zarbon and Freeza, be it by making one the universe's ugliest woman, another a gay stereotype who happened to be a really straight man prone to innuendos, and the last one a Freaky Alien Genotype. That last one in particular, considering fag was a general badword even by 2008 as far as I'm aware, and not really the kind of thing you should say in public, and they made a joke out of it.

But no, Kaiser's a bigger fag now and can't stand it if his precious sexual expression gets harassed or, worse, mocked at all for being ridiculous in at least some contexts. Instead we had to get an increasingly gay relationship between Korin and Yajirobe that went from supplying jokes during the Cooler movie to being celebrated in-universe by the characters themselves and a focus on Dende being gay for Gohan.

The only jokes allowed are at the expense of white men, preferably as Trump clones or KKK/Nazis. And being right-wing at all makes you a Nazi by default, so that means Farmer with Shotgun wouldn't even get just a 'I voted for Bush' line in Current Year, but probably act racist to Raditz to justify him being killed.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=UJ3-lUnH850An we're back to our usual unfunny shit kids.
Well, I guess that's season 1 finished.

Overall, nothing especially funny, but it wasn't terrible. I don't think they really thought things out that much, or they assumed the concept of getting all the villains in one place and keeping them at the same level would be funnier than it was, but it had its moments.

Maybe if they'd been able to get it out quicker, or if they just did an original series with the DBZA characters but with different names, they'd do better.

I'm not even sure what voice acting work anyone's gotten recently. Last big thing I'm aware of was fucking Borderlands 3.

The gaming shit started to go down downhill when at the same time Lani became an unfunny faggot who thought screaming and a facecam could replace humor and Kirran became burnt out and depressed over how soulless and cookie cutter being a successful LPer is. But I still like the Dinnertime Gaming stuff even though it gets raped in viewcount because I identify with Kirran and Grant becoming cynical contrarian douchebags who hate the absolute state of the modern internet but still can't get away from it.

So we can streaming to the stuff TFS is burnt out on. What are they actually passionate for these days?

All I understand from all of this is that Kaiser is the root of all the problems by stalling every projects and becoming a bigger faggot than he already was.

Others in his clique are insufferable too, but he is probably the worst of all.
Like I said earlier in the thread, I believe it will Kaiser will be the one to go full blown lolcow. I can see TFS melting down one day and it being Kaiser who goes on a twitter rampage spree. Similar to the Change the Channel shit a few years back.

No, the one to do that is Taka.
In fact, he does it now.

I actually still like these
I mean there not terrible by any means, just very bland and lack the zing of the Golden 2013-2018 Era of the Abridged series. Politics has definitely ruined a huge amount of what made their content so great with them freely making more off colour jokes in their work. But Kaiser himself is definitely a megalomaniac of some degree and is the central reason why DBZA doesn’t continue, If he was out of the picture or less of a hack I think we’d be well into the Buu Arc by now.
