Yeah, that item description is definitely one of the big things people mention. None of the item descriptions are necessarily canon, and even then it was probably a joke about adult actors playing high schoolers (or that Scout was trying to get some 17-year-old groupie), but people really need to scream about something, so they latched onto that line.

and you've said more than enough, if you exclude the fact that he's just a gmod animator that's mostly done randum humor, people treat scout as a punching bag because it's funny to see him be the butt of slapstick jokes since he's renown to be an annoying retard

also scout players don't get bitches since scout gets none to begin with

Funnily enough, Scout in the finale of the comics has had multiple wives; they kept breaking up because they were only after his money. He's also something of a good parent, surprisingly.

I'm starting to get worried about the MvM update. I don't have faith in Eric Smith to pick out a short list of the best maps and create one or two more tours max. I am worried that he is going to try and cram in 7 new tours or something insane and wind up bloating MvM like he did with every other game mode in TF2.

Mark my words. If we wind up with 12 new MvM maps, it is going to kill the long term success of the game mode. The only reason two cities is still around is because its the only game in town. Imagine waiting two hours in a queue to complete one last mission because the playerbase gets divided across multiple tours.

The only solution for this would be a tour spotlight that rotates every month.

don't, and not out of trust but out of apathy, don't forget that it's been several months and there's no information whatsoever towards what's what

hell, for all we know there might not even be an update to begin with, how many months was it since it was "announced"?

Ten months ago, as it was announced near the end of June 2025.

Already longer than the "Jungle Update" blog post to Jungle Inferno, to the surprise of absolutely no-one.

I'm starting to get worried about the MvM update
I fear that Valve will be lazy and will fuck up the rewards of the new tours somehow, I expect the MvM gamblers to just stick to the already existing tours.

Spy had a rather sweet interaction with his granddaughter too, which even let us see him canonically unmasked. If they were to make a TF3, I wouldn't be mad if they made Tanya into the new spy.

The delay is part of why I'm concerned, as well as his comment about, "So many submissions that its hard to sort through them all".

If the delay is because he and whatever other part-timers are working on real content to sell the update, then it could be a good sign. But this is Valve, and they've done shit all since 2018.

In reality, the delay is probably because ES cobbeling together some ungodly amalgamation of community slop with no staying power. If he pulls a Summer 2023 on MvM it could legit kill the gamemode. The MvM playerbase won't survive if they get divided.

MvM isn't like casual where you can just add more maps to the queue if you want shorter queue times. You need to queue for the specific missions you haven't completed yet.

Personally, I'd leave the game and story where it is; better to end something like this on a high note rather than drag it out and risk it rotting, you know? Make no mistake, a TF3 would be pretty cool, but this one ended on a good note.

Worst case scenario for the MvM update is it kills Mann Up mode, which just means no more gambling. Oh no, how horrible. Community MvM will still be there, and it's usually better than Valve MvM. I don't even know why people play Valve MvM in the big '26 considering Mann Up isn't even profitable anymore.

Ok the actual worst case scenario is that Valve touches something in the code to tweak MvM's logic for new maps/missions and it ends up rendering the entire gamemode unplayable but I doubt Valve is going to decide to stop being lazy long enough to actually do such a thing.

I want something on the level of the 2019 crate depression in terms of reaction. Please let the high tour gamblers threaten suicide. They ruined that gamemode.

I've gotten free Mann up tickets before since 2012 and I still have no desire to touch it now.

A fair point. In the modern era of hero shooters, TF3 would likely end up suffering a shift to that style of character and gameplay design, so letting the franchise remain frozen would likely preserve its reputation more than making a new game. Breaking some the classes into more specialized roles would be cool though, and I would love to hear any proposed classes for a potential 18-class Team Fortress if one had to be the one in charge.

explain how wutville got in then
Someone at Valve saw that the creator of the map was the guy who created the Polycount forums, responsible for the Polycount contest back in the day, did no due diligence in ensuring the map wasn't complete and utter faggot aids, and added it to the game.

The validation my neo-vagina feels looking at this transtastic mod is unreal.

TF2 literally pioneered and ships with every single nigger kike pratice and standard that are always brought up against every other online game but TF2 gets a pass because apparently it's not as bad as OTHER GAME despite having the same exact issues
even the goyim consumers in this thread will defend having to spend money on the game to actually play it to it's fullest (BUT IT'S NOT PAY TO WIN I SWEAR)
Also steam and valve are objectively not consumer friendly

Many people including myself were saying exactly this 15 years ago and we were shouted down by gaben bootlickers because valve was the "wholesome" video game company that could do no wrong
