Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but much of the TF2 community is being gatekept by trannies. Some tranny-less community server options do exist, but most of the TF2 Source mods out there now are heavily tranny-held and you will get the boot if you don't suck girl cock. Much of the creative portions of TF2 are also heavily gatekept by trannies. Even the few remaining websites for discussing tf2 (teamfortress.tv, Knockout, even Gamebanana threads) are also tranny havens. It's a problem that has yet to be solved.
I hate being a modder so much. Why do I have to like all the things that trannies infest?
 
Since the Kiwi Farms server just sort of shit itself and died
more than anything everything was working but then it ended with nobody playing on it and it was quietly shut down right after

and also for server stuff, reminder that zesty's probably the only one that has had blacklisted the vaccinator (and the short circuit) out of necessity, it's unreal how vacniggers are an actual blight to games
 
The reverts are gonna keep me from touching Quickplay if it gets brought back. Playing as Heavy on Castaway is bliss, there's only a few reverts left to make him perfection.
Same thing with Demoman. Unnerfed Ullapool Caber and Loch are extremely fun. Honestly makes me wonder if Valve's anti fun approach to weapon balance began to manifest even before MyM/JI.

Things have to be "balanced" to appease compfags who told valve to compete with overwatch TF2 needed to become an esport

Actually a lot of the recent reverts they've added are quite retarded or unnecessary

These are just some examples but there's plenty more dumb reverts, they seem more focused on oppositefagging the current versions and being overpowered on purpose because that's what gabber likes

Unnerfed Loch was just AIDs. It basically gave the Demo a sniper rifle.

Before damage spread got nerfed, it would frequently one tap light classes from across the map. Half the time you couldn't even see the pipe; you'd just blow up.
 
My issue with how they unnerfed the Loch is that they also buffed it by leaving in the third pipe. 2 pipe Loch was a balanced sidegrade, 3 pipe Loch is unnecessarily strong.

Demo gets an insane primary but they won’t revert the Sandvich to where you used to be able to heal from your own thrown food, or revert the GRU to the damage tick version that you could use to boost your own jumps.

Yeah I can see that being an issue for heavy mains, I can imagine they are fuming their tistic side right now.

fair points but:

1. The Source Mods will never replace the main game for the same reasons space station 13 will never lose it's place if space station 14 ever comes out (it won't). Anybody can open a TF2 server and not worry about being blacklisted from the main game, all they need to worry about are DDOS attacks. I highly doubt the source mods will reach playercounts in the thousands daily when they release on steam and just double or triple in size.

2. Tranny projects fall apart all the time.

-Zesty Jesus criticizing workshop slop and the Emporium getting more eyes on it in general led to it falling apart one time.

-creators.tf devolving into retarded infighting

-The TF2 economy will collapse eventually if they keep adding slop no one wants, keep stretching the player base by adding dozens and dozens of new maps, and don't attempt to hook new players as the whales age out.

3. Eric Smith telling the trannies to fuck off and have them remove the pride flag shows they're fragile and not invincible even if it's just one instance

Overall, no one can stop you from opening your own server. All the forums are lost causes and don't matter since the game hasn't been updated since 2018 really. If TF2 got updated to have hidden trans flags on every map that's ever been added, some madlad could host a server with all that shit removed. I was on a server last christmas on the turbine map and the admins managed to get the preview version without the "Tran. S Wright" door. The TF2 server we had didn't fail due to censorship, everyone was working or had their favorite server picked out already.

I was initially on the fence about this, but it's not OP and very fun to use. You have to be at near-death health to have max damage and speed while healing is completely blocked when equipped.

One of the few bullshit reverts. Paired with the reverted Rescue Ranger it's true & honest AIDS (unlike the Loch-n-GOD).

The only Castaway reverts that are actually AIDS are the aforementioned Wrangler revert, Short Circuit, and Dead Ringer (HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE THE DEAD RINGER SINCE I BEGAN TO PLAY TF2). As for unnecessary, the Bushwacka revert is just plain retarded.

3 health drained a tick was fairly negligible compared to mini crits, it wasn’t as fast as you’d think and the trick of timing it with a jump to boost your height and distance was fun to learn. Only downside to it is that it had had 50% reduced damage at the time, since it made it pretty safe to get into someone’s face.

As for better or worse directly? For getting to the frontline, you didn’t need to wait for the minicrits to wear off and you could slightly help medics. For escaping you didn’t put a massive target over your head or open up any weird mini to full crit weapon interactions. There was no risk in swapping to and from it other than rev time, which was great if you ran shotgun.

no i've got a case of dementia thinking about it, the soda popper, mad milk and the bfb are three that i should've instantly mentioned.
for other cases on different classes i should've also mentioned the zatoichi, maybe the old FoS, wrangler, rescue ranger, jag, pomson (but out of necessity coz old dr) and cozy camper.

There's literally no real reason to use stock over this, you have three 120 damage pipes that travel faster, rollers and the 4th pipe are meaningless. If it was the 2 pipe version maybe I'd consider it, otherwise how is this not OP?

I'm surprised the only scout revert you mentioned is the pocket pistol. You can tell gabber is a scout main. (I'm fine with sandman guillotine though)

The >when weapon is active part is removed after the revert, doesn't that mean the speed boost doesn't require having it out? Even if it does require having it out there's no downside.

If >in use means having the pickaxe out then that's meaningless, if the reduced damage is melee damage then that's also meaningless.

What exactly is the downside of the reverted version? Am I not reading the stats right?

The current escape plan is still soldier's best melee, it's fine and fun, nobody really has a problem with the current one (hell some think it's OP). This is just feels like reverting for the sake of reverting, so do many of the other reverts.
