Valve is already starting to accept community fixes via merge requests. Obviously, it's mostly going to be a lot of smaller fixes, but it's still a good sign that Valve is doing followthrough.

Gave Castaway a burl today. Solid 8.5/10, points deducted for admins not blasting music or fucking with people, and the two underages who wouldn't shut the fuck up.
 

With steam networking, now you can create a server in one click and tag it with "truequickplay" so it can be easily found in the server browser. Already played on them, very comfy.

Team GRN, Engineers Griefing Team (OpenGriefing) & Team Roomba were the real OGs before the Russian goblin Delfy buck broke r/tf2 into making him a millionaire (in rubles)

They painted Delfy as this messiah of TF2 griefing and to NOT fuck with him cuz he had a golden wrench (wow so cool!!!!)
Now he gets kids addicted to TF2 gambling and still uses the same fucking Russian meme sound effects he's been using since 2013

Why do the people that make the most low effort garbage make the most money off this game???

I'm just mad I'll never get an experience like vanilla TF2 ever again, back before the extra weapons per class.

The moment they gave Pyro a flare gun and Demoman a sword it was over as both completely defeat the purpose of the class they're supposed to be. I'm not even talking about this from a competitive point of view, the original weaponsets were the most fun and balanced you could get. The moment they started enhancing classes was the moment it all fell apart because now you have to enhance other classes to counter it and so on.

flare on pyro fits like a glove and there's nothing inherently wrong with its addition since he's still reliant on setting people on fire with his flamer, demoknight is an abortion that is completely antithetical to the class and i do agree with that, even if it's fun to play

not entirely true, you have an argument if you want to talk about the old dead ringer and the old pomson as an example, but majority of the unlocks didn't demand enhancement from other classes, unless you want to tell me how classes needed to be adjusted with the addition of the FaN, gunboats, sandvich and kritkrieg as a few examples

I think the biggest offenders were the cleaver, the flare guns (all of them), the Tomislav, the Wrangler, the Dead Ringer, and the crossbow. All of them removed weaknesses of their classes without much trade off.
I don't think the Eyelander was so bad though, it alongside the Gunslinger and Huntsman created playstyles that were just different from their base classes without being directly better or worse. They were more like psuedo-10th classes IMO.

Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any more boomerish...
 
I just miss the point where afterburn was actually a legitimately threatening thing that needed to be dealt with instead of instant extinguishing from so many sources.
