sorry to disappoint you all, but the key value crash is pretty much over, the keys are now hovering at 1,68-1,67/1,95-1,94 euros/USD

e: also added a pic of current selling and buying

That is still a huge drop off in value, inflation is gonna hit harder again is gonna be the response I suspect. Tf2 might see a brief trade resurgence though if csgo traders do end up cashing out and switch to tf2. Its just another confidence shaker in the economy that will crack the foundation further.

I dont understand how Valve can refuse to properly update TF2 by the reason of "making people upset", yet push out an update for a different game that causes such a meltdown. Their live service department must be filled with actual retards

The smart people left valve more than a decade ago

and sorry to piss on this parade yet again, but the prices are slowly going back to what they once were, no market crash for tf2 sadly

Using TF2 keys as a currency is fucking retarded. Valve hasn't put out a crate in nearly a decade that can be opened by them. The crates are almost worth as much as the keys at this point.

Factor inflation into any depreciation of dollar value for TF2 keys over time. $1.65 in todays money is ~$1.15-1.35 back in 2015. You'd be better off hoarding beanie babies.

This is a player's perspective. Valve are gigakikes, which comes with the territory of being a multi-billion dollar company. They employ psychologists to fuck you over better and economists to calculate the best ways of milking you dry. The CS2 change, if I had to guess, was months if not years in the making. Unlike this change, there's no potentially big profit in TF2 updates.

Smg, revolver, or syringe gun?

Revolver is the strongest. SMG is the most under-rated. Syringe gun is just flat-out useless. Totally outclassed by every other Medic primary, sadly.

SMG is the easiest to use to me, and the one I find the most success with usually. I would like the Revolver too if I could ever learn to play into the weird doom-esque perfect first shot accuracy thing it has going on, but I already kind of hate playing spy so... I don't know what it is about TF2 but most of the bullet weapons feel like crap to use. I'm not the best aimer but something about them just feels off.

Syringe gun is useless, I mean what else do you even say about it other than its a mistake and they should've just repurposed scouts nail gun for medic, or at the very least lower the crosshairs for the syringe guns since the arc of them quite literally doesn't match.

smg's smg, if you got decent tracking then it's a rather powerful tool that can make everyone think twice about jumping you, le quickscoping is still an high-risk activity (that should a slightly higher amount of risk honestly) that can get the sniper killed if he misses

revolver's the shotgun but single bullet, i'd prefer if the amby crosshair was shared with all revolvers since it's abhorrently annoying to figure out when i can take the next perfectly accurate shot, but if you can hit your shots with it then it becomes insanely strong

the syringe (all syringes, but stock is the most) is overhated and this hatred hinges on the fact that people make the wrong comparisions with it, sure you lose on the instantaneous ranged healing that allows you to save people under heavy fire, but you gain the ability to not be a sitting (or suicidal because you choose to gamble on the random crits of the bonesaw) duck when you get ambushed by anything and you make the players around your team manage their health instead of gamblling on you hitting that crossbow shot while they make reckless pushes that have an average of 20 or something hp
also syringes don't demand an 80% hitrate to be effective and that alone makes them more fun than the crossbow
