thought I would raise some awareness that a few prominent tf2 creators and people are going to be hosting a bring back quickplay/fixcasual movement on the 26th. Alongside sending a letter to valve a petition will also be opened up to sign. There is a discord for the movement but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share it here but here is the twitter post

Good luck to them I suppose, if managed to bring back team scramble I would sing their praises for a good long while.

Not that'll happen, but some schizos are saying that HL3 could be announced on the 26th, I'm chuckling a little bit at the thought of a movement to do some good for TF2 getting BTFO because of something so monumental overshadowing it.

I can't belive they added ANOTHER version of Slaughter. Just with a boardwalk theme this time. I'm actually impressed at how many times they've been able to rehash that map for a quick buck.

Only one that I think looks good are mannhole and Boardwalk. Boardwalk especially looks like a better version of Pier which I think looks incredibly ugly and one of the most "yep this is definitely an unofficial map I'm playing!" maps in the game. OOPS JK ITS SLAUGHTER AGAIN

My opinion on new "updates" can be summarized thusly:

Dont worry little TF2 fan, Uncle Schrader Eric has enough Community Maps for you to play your entire life!

They really need to add some sort of rotation for the new maps. Just take the 30 least played maps and cycle them each week. Have a weekly "featured maps" pool. There are too many damn maps at this point. Its damaging to the health of the game.

Literally nothing. Sad. They really refuse to do anything different. Just give us a new munitions crate. A tiny balance change. Anything thats not a hat or map.

Reducing map vote time to 15s is a nice touch, but far too little and far too late.

A paid kill taunt was added this update. This is... new. Broken range too, or so people say. At least all the Mobster bullshit hasn't been officially injected into TF2.

They did modify the Heavy player model to add a new bullets bodygroup so certain cosmetics can hide the bullet strap.

i've had it checked, it's got the same range as the heavy finger gun's taunt, so it's not broken (but holy it's still a paid taunt)

The finger gun taunt is the longest taunt kill range in the game, discounting the Scorch Shot. But, too be honest, the Coffin Taunt is probably more disruptive.

the bigger issue is that now there's paid taunt kill that gives engi a weapon he does not have any access to, this is super bad, and this isn't even starting with the shitty cosmetics (the new sniper set completely fucks with his colors apparently) that have been put in this update, this shit is ass

I don't get why they couldn't have just put this on an engineer pistol reskin, or even a new weapon entirely. Engineer is sorely in need of new secondaries. People have talked about Engy getting a six shooter for years.
