in other news, Veronica's job doing computer stuff for $9 an hour for her mom's friend fell through. apparently he hired a professional because Veronica knows nothing about how to design a web page.

Having been forced into web design before, it's a bit more complicated than that, especially if your client had very specific needs. It's also a job that often requires a lot of coding knowledge.

9 dollars per hour is really low balling it for a professional though, so I wonder if they just found another family friend that sucked less than satsuki.

No no no no.no. Jesus christ no. I'm not trying to defend her but it's better that they hire an actual professional for that. Trust me. I'm taking a class on Web design. And it'snot just a click and drag thing.
Plus you gotta have a designer mindset.

i was just saying she's too stupid to consider using services (often free) that show you how to make a website using literally the laziest method available and still charge the guy for it.

and yes, it really is that easy these days if you know what programs to buy, what websites to use, how much you're willing to pay for a better than free account on a service (thus being allowed to customize every single little thing).

veronica, however, is too lazy and stupid to consider even this lazy method. just because it's not what ya'll would use doesn't mean there aren't professionals who use that design method.

it exists. it's an abomination, but regardless it's an option she could have used to get easy money.

as have i, and yes ACTUAL web design is more complicated, especially when taking certain client needs into consideration. But again, this is something literally anyone can learn if they want to. The fact she's not even bothering to look up basic shit online for how to do it is lazy as hell.

It would take her a while to learn such a thing on her own. Plus it's not the kind of job that has a steady income. It takes a lot of networking. I would say she needs a job but nothing as serious as webdesign. That's more of a career.

And with careers, you need to like what you do.

I say sats need a job like at a restaurant or some shit like that. Maybe target. She would have much better success there

Anyway, if I was looking for a web designer I'd probably go to a professional who will definitely do a good job rather than a lazy girl who spends all her time begging for money and posting My Little Pony pictures on Tumblr while expecting job offers to just fall into her lap.

I wonder if she's aware that all 7-Eleven locations are currently hiring, particularly in the specific town where she lives. They all have huge "help wanted" signs in the window. But how much you wanna bet she thinks she's "above" working as a cashier and won't bother inquiring about getting hired?

Makes you wonder why the mom's co worker offered her a job in the first place if she doesn't know web design. He sounds like those shitty people who think the "computer guy" can make them webpages and other for almost free.

Veronica should totally learn web design and other if she doesn't study or work but I gues she is too lazy for that.

Maybe the guy assumed she would at least try to get SOME knowledge of coding when she found out she could make money from it.
But of course she didn't. While I get why someone would rather have a professional, there are a LOT of websites that offer coding "classes" for free. Code Academy is one of them. She could have easily taken the time to learn something instead of just expecting to get hired to do something she knew nothing about, unlike most people struggling for money who'll pick up any skill they can if it means they can find work with it.

But this is Veronica. She doesn't want to ever work for her money. She'd rather rely on begging for money and blaming being autistic or poor for not being able to earn her own money.

By the way, should she get her own thread? While she is indeed a Taka pal, it seems like there's way more milk coming from her rather than the other people in that circle and it seems like she's become the unofficial focus of this thread.

I'm guessing that you're right, because the offer is very low for the field. I'm not really quite understanding why people are criticizing her for not buckling down and somehow obtaining all the knowledge required for a job that's ultimately a huge rip off when she wont even apply for a Starbucks job.

If she wanted small art gigs; graphic design is a way better bet, because there's plenty of small ones and much less knowledge required.
