It's very pressuring, especially when you never know just what each person is following you for. I think it's better if you lose people sometimes. There's a greater chance the ones left like you for who you are, and not because you make them feel validated, or because they see you as some kind of martyr. I just hope I was able to adequately explain it to him (no response to my message yet).

The fact that people look up to bloggers who argue with teenagers on the internet over cartoons at all is...baffling.

I get the vibe he's in the "they're both shit but I'm gonna be edgy and call out the Shillary people just because it's the most popular thing here" camp. I've seen a few of those. They aren't really Trump supporters, but they really don't like Hillary either and they like to troll the people sperging out about the upcoming election like it's the next doomsday scenario.
 
Every president and candidate from every country has a laundry list of shady things they have done. Face the reality, people.

As far as I could tell, he was Bernie supporter, but when Bernie didn't get the DNC nomination, he fell into the "anyone but hillary" camp. If I remember, he was telling people about Jill Stein, or reblogged posts about her or some shit like that. either way seeing the anti-hillary stuff on his blog is pretty funny.

To be fair, you rarely know off the bat that someone is a teenager, and stupidity isn't age-exclusive. Many people are just sick of all the childish bullshit, but are afraid to say anything about it themselves, so anyone that does is a relief to them (this is likely why Trump has any supporters whatsoever). Is it a waste of time? One could reasonably say so. However, that doesn't mean that such behavior should never be criticized at all. It just shouldn't consume a person's identity to the point where there is little else about them to know.
