Ever heard of Midnight for 3e?
Good game, second edition for it was better in my opinion. Had some concepts that work well with other d20 based systems.

I should mention that if you want another Berserk like game, the new Luminous Echo for D&D 5th, Pathfinder and Anima could fit that role.
I just learned about these two books that are about raising baby monsters and the art is as adorable as you expect it to be.
I have both, I think they maybe working on a third one or starting to do stat books

So after the disaster that Albert and the party went through, they finally got off the ship, only to be brought to an ornate dome where they got applauded for their work and had food from different cultures across the Earth and the aether. A were-asian, an elf, and a steam golem gave them a small orb with a small orb, and we stayed in a 5 star hotel with a shopping mall and a few other things. I managed to get a map where the best weaponsmith makes his weapons, mainly because my druid uses wood, and would love to have an energy gun.

I just learned about the NWoD book about Deviants. Let's just say I hate the concept (psionic people, the Fly, and Cyborg from Teen Titans does not a coherent book make), I hate how the monster design works (oh yeah, you can be as powerful as you want. There's penalties to making yourself stronger, but that requires the DM to be able to balance the game for the rest of the party), I hate how it's basically just a stitched together book (and that's not a clever meta thing, it's just desperate for product). And last but not least I hate how the idea is just a bastard spawn of two other series like Beast was.

It just feels like the retarded spawn between Changeling and Prometheans, just like how Beast was a horrid crossbreed of Mage and Werewolf. It just has a more disgusting power creep that relies too much on the DM balancing the party and gives the players too many opportunities to explode outward with special snowflakedness in a setting already rife with it. It legit doesn't really match the setting given it's a sci-fi thing in a world of the supernatural.

The only thing it has going for it is it makes the Deviants sympathetic, unlike Matt McFucksKids with Beast.

From what little I know, it seems like what ever it could do Changeling already has done. (Abusive keepers who changed you against your will? Trying to fit in and hide from you captors?) Also, it seems like outside of vengence and hiding (which the Summer Court in Changeling kind of does), there's not much else for their existance.

On the bright side, I like that the second edition of Changeling the Lost will not have it that all of the escapees were horribly abused, though the trauma will still be a theme.

What's the most popular edition of D&D? I have some AD&D and 3.5 books but I just want to jump into whatever's most accessible for other people. Do people still play Shadowrun?

3.5 is so fondly remembered that another company made a completely legal carbon copy of the system(Pathfinder) that ended up outselling 4E, and is still going to this day(Only just now announcing a 2nd edition of the game)

I totally forgot about Pathfinder! Thanks.

5e is doing fairly well and I could see it becoming the popular edition eventually, but 3.5 attracted a massive wave of newer grognards. ADnD has some popularity still among the older bearded fatguys, but 3.5 I find is still the most popular.

In other news, my Only War game (40k PnP with the Imperial Guard) I finally had the time to run had the most bad-ass accidental mook ever. This one guy, who now has the name of Goros, managed to in one bout of exploding dice brutalize and murder a fucking Chaos Knight that was giving the Deathwatch member some trouble.

The session was great overall too, given that I had three great speeches from my players, finally gave a player a time to shine given he's been pulled from most games by other moments, and managed to horrify them with some of my trump cards.

Good session and one full of blood, a nice change from the few sessions of mostly RP.

Guess which scam artist is going to be at Gencon? Anita.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=owq6u1bSZb4

Jesus Wept.

Does anybody even care what Anita Sarkeesian says or does anymore?

If SJW's are the new Religious Right, then Anita is the new Jack Chick.

Both Jack and Anita are very visible and vocal loud-mouths who have stopped being relevant except as a target of ire and mockery (or were, as is the case with Chick)

The only difference is that unlike Anita, Jack Chick was actually funny and entertaining in an ironic sort of way.

Is she even popular enough to justify an invite?

EDIT-took a look at the other two panelists, heavily involved creative movers and shakers whereas Anita's blurb doesnt even mention RPG's. If you're going to do this could they could at least get someone whose links with the industry actually make their voice relavent. Anna Kreider may be a hateful crazy harpy but at least she has some actually experiance in game desighn. You could even get Liana K if you wanted to actually have a positive dialogue with some whose a Femminist who actually likes RPGS and isnt a total bore.
I take it where about to get another bought of the Serkisian cycle where the negative reaction to her presense is the justification for it.

May Anita and Anna never meet and team up. BTW, check out this game about lesbian relationships and hook-ups called, A Place to Fuck Each Other.

They wouldnt get along, Krieder probably has borderline personality disorder and Anita's not great with people so I think it'd explode.

Wouldnt it just be easier and more pleasent to just have sex rather than roleplaying it? I mean if I could be an actual wizard D&d would loose a lot of appeal.

Anita is just a shit stirrer who only cares for money, and is a terrible speaker who only brings up the same disproven talking points. In other news, the campaign I am going through is going very well. We landed on another planet via a ship that is piloted by a single person plugging themselves into the ship. We got invited to the governor's mansion that has an entire greenhouse, and our party was taken on a tour by an elf with a drow's sense of humor, and had lunch with the governor and we were informed about the execution of a pirate by hanging, and I asked them why don't you freeze them, mainly because the race of pirates are lizardfork and are deathly weak to the cold, and they didn't really think about it until now. The party finally met up with the shopkeeper that my character got a map for, and we got new weaponry.

I'm sure one of the other players could describe it better, but yesterday's Post Apolcalyptic game was one of the best I've had in ages.

Too much happened to go into too much specific detail, but the party synergized really well and trounced a bunch of NPC's who thought they could enslave us.

The true star of the game was the Goliath Barbarian who totally Warboy'd them as we were trying to chase us down. He intimidated them so well that most of them decided to bail from the car instead of be anywhere near him.

All I know is that Gorgoth is going to become one hell of a useful character in this campaign.
