I could look through it. I don't often look into New World of Darkness stuff, preferring Old World of Darkness. I really only became interested in Promethean because of Orpheus.

Trust me, Promethean is worth it. The writings, concepts, and mechanics are very well done and thought through.

So what do people like about Promethean? I've been looking into it and has a lot about humanity/ feelings in it and what it means to be human from what I've seen. Seems interesting enough. I'm still paging through the books.

Anyone know of a good system for a wrestling game? I've been wanting to get the WWF game but that can be hard to find (the 1990's one).

I have booth versions. In terms of roleplaying it seems good for straight up storytellers (something I enjoy), those who like to munchkin or like combat I don't will find a lot going for it. Artwork is fine in core book.

Promethean at least for me appeals because it's a game about what makes us human. It's a game about monsters and things that should not be that desperately want to become human, a refreshing change from the usual white wolf stuff. It has a wide variety of archtypes to base characters off of and really, who doesn't feel some sympathy for Frankensteins Monster?

For me it seems like a typical White Wolf game. Like you can see that in any of their games you have a base archtype and then they change the theme/ backstory to it. Bit lazy in terms of design really. It seems like it's an interesting take on monsters and far better than their attempt with Beast at the very least. Even with the Beast supplements it's still not a good game.

I wrote a goddamn essay on how much Beast sucks.

CCP Games should have kept the license, Paradox Interactive is just going to let Onyx/ Nocturnal kill the franchise. CCP Games was always anal about the IP's they owned, even shutting down a modding community who was working on the Vampire the Masquerade game. You now have one company filled with PC nut jobs now running a Franchise that shouldn't be PC friendly.

That reminds me, I have the two AP's for Ironfang Invasion and I have to say the tranny and the tranny sympathizer don't know how to run a campaign with hobgoblins. Other than the art there's nothing good about the AP so far.

I've noticed that paradox has put the lash to Opp over the 20th anniversary lines in the past few months since new WW products are scheduled to drop Q1 2018. I have a feeling it's going to move everything in house once the last KS commitments have gone out the door. Chronicles might get spun off or just axed. Then opp will have their PC feel good games like pugmire and scion.

Honestly, it can be somewhat combat inclined, since you as the monster are something so alien to existence it tries to actually erase you, often by making people lose it due to your torment. You have access to alchemical reactions and are reasonably tougher than vamps; kind of a diet werewolf in a way I reckon.

I personally enjoy it because it really hits that part of me that was really affected by movies like the Iron Giant and Bicentennial Man. The notion that you are who you choose to be, regardless of your origins.

And how did they cock up my favorite goblinoid race?

Yeah but in terms of "unnatural" wouldn't that also mean vampires too or Demons? Why doesn't existence try to remove them? Or is there an NPC faction right now that's doing that job? Sort of like how Vampires have the Werewolves.

They don't really seem too militaristic. If you got a lot of hobgoblins in an area looking to invade there should be outposts everywhere, there should more roving bands of scouts. People weren't kidding either when they said the majority of the characters were female either it's like the male characters shouldn't exist but Paizo forced Crystal to put them in. It's also bad that Amber Scott wrote the first AP so of course it's horrible and you have NPC's you really don't care about, though this one you don't seem to have a trans character, just a female who had a more male dominate role.

In lieu of a soul, you have a storehouse of Pyros, the Divine Fire from which all life springs, but which isn't meant to exist in such a concentrated form. As a result, its radiance burns all around it, causing reality itself to hate you.

Kind of reminds me of your Apocalypse form in OWoD Demon.

Essentially this. Since you're a mockery of life fueled by a quasi-soul that basically serves as a beacon of "This shit ain't right". Each type of Promethean also affects reality and people differently, based on the four classical elements and aether.

So they forgot that Hobgoblins are essentially master warriors and actually can fight in formations like shield walls, phalanxes, and can actually organize logistics? Idiots. It's as dumb as people forgetting that Kobolds are clever little bastards and masters of trapwork and dungeoneering.

I think Amber Scott thinks hobgoblins are Bugbears, because that's how they acted and appeared in art minus the size of a bugbear.
