Apparently Blessed of The Traveler: Queer Gender Identity in Eberron was in the top 3% best sellers on DMGuild. I don't know who has been buying it because it's yet to be shared by anyone on any chan thread. If it's a best seller I have little hope for DMGuild material going forward.
Thanks for the reminder. I knew I was forgetting something.

Reading that garbage was ten minutes of my life I know I will never get back.
atamajakki is an utterly untalented hack and a whiny troon, also grass is green, the sky is blue, and Liberace was very very gay.
Every race in Ebberon completely supports transgender people and finds them completely awesome and totally understands them and encourages them, there is no opposition to transgender people from any religion or organization in Eberron, and many legends of famous heroes are about how they discovered they were really a woman while they killed a dragon or some such. Oh, and a 1st level transmutation spell that can be cast by most spellcasters can permanently change your gender to whatever the fuck you want, despite Polymorph being a 4th level transmutation spell with a duration of 1 hour.
Yeah.
Here, let me s summarize that pamphlet for anyone who wants to save themselves ten minutes and some sanity:
By the by, the PHB suggests that having an NPC cast a 1st level spell should cost 10-50 gp. Virtually any class except the Monk is almost guaranteed to start out with enough money to purchase even a 50gp spell. Which basically negates the whole "trans" thing in the first place if changing your gender is about as big a decision as buying a different t-shirt. Which means you can't have "My goal is to adventure my way into finding a way to transition!" be a viable character motivation.
And since there is no opposition anywhere to transgender people, you can't roleplay any sort of drama from that angle without negotiating it with the GM ahead of time.
So in conclusion, the entire book is basically saying "You can't meaningfully roleplay anything even approaching a real-world transgender scenario, because it just doesn't exist in my imaginary magical utopia."
In other words, it is useless even for it's stated purpose.
The politics these tards are shilling dies the instant you can just use something like this to make the problem go away forever. Which is why you know they just want to pretend that they play these games or if they did, they were the fuckers you booted from the table for being perverts.Funnily enough I saw tranny whatshisname attajakka whatever the fuck shilling this on reddit and the comments were mostly negative and full of 'why would you need this? You can literally be a Changling'
So they're lying about sales, because I don't count shipments. You can't actually lie about comic sales as there's only one comic distributor (who loves to fuck over comic book stores because of it). The only thing a comic book company can do is lie about electronic sales. There's a good reason why comic book stores keep these on the shelves, they can't send things back as that cuts into their profit as they have to pay for the shipping and also the processing. It's why they never complain about extra things being sent to them that never paid for, they just add it to the shelves.
Seems to speak volumes in that they want to be the center of attention and be showered in gifts just because they don't want to work the forge.
Honestly, this is probably a pretty common opinion on the board and about where I am on the matter. Hell, this place had and probably still has a decent trans population, which is partially why the vitriol gets so hot. These sex perverts with a cross dressing fetish make them look stupid and the perverts laughable. Hence the La Zorra subboard.Basically.
Look, it might go against board culture a bit to not incessantly mock the troons, but I'm fundamentally sympathetic to what I'll call - for lack of a better term - "real" trans people. I've known a couple for years and years, and in my experience, the vast majority of them up until ~5 years ago or so just wanted to be whatever they transitioned to. They weren't in it for the "transness" of it. Being a "trans-whatever" wasn't the end goal, being a whatever was. And they worked pretty hard at it, most of them.
Now it's all weird. Weirder. A "transwoman", and I use that term generously, who posts a picture of themselves wearing bad makeup, a cheap wig, and wearing size-too-small, ten-years-too-young fashion will get legions of similar freaks posting endless compliments about how "gorgeous" and "cute" they look, and how they're all lesbians and hot for each other and whatever-the-shit, despite the fact they all look like men with bad makeup in ill-fitting women's clothing. And if you don't accept their consensual delusion, you're the problem, not them for making a mockery of both the gender they claim to want to be, and the struggle they claim to be undergoing.
And that's what it comes down to - Most "trans women" these days don't really want to be women. Most "trans men" these days don't really want to be men. They want to be trans. Any other gender identifier is secondary.
Unless I’m wrong, Im pretty sure two of the mods/admins are transHonestly, this is probably a pretty common opinion on the board and about where I am on the matter. Anyways, back to the reason transitioning don't work in this setting. It's just there's not much of an ability to represent transitioning if you can just get a magic item or potion to make yourself your ideal for what is actually a pretty cheap potion by adventuring standards. Like yeah, a commoner or a low level player wouldn't be able to immediately, but its existence makes transness inherently not-viable since a genuine Dysphoric would try and find a way to get said item or potion (which is at worst like 2k a pop). Special snowflakes can just take a Changeling as mentioned.

I mean, there'd be a bit of a journey to get to the goal of being a man or woman, since 2,250 gp (the price of said potion) is a lord's sum for many in the setting (Commoners most often handle silver or copper, with gold being the equivalent of benjamins usually). Your average commoner ain't getting that outside of luck, going adventuring, or banditry, but the thing about fantasy is you can still make it happen if you try hard enough or get lucky. Adventurers can get the situation solved and be the woman or man they were supposed to be by level 3 for example. But that's the thing, staying transgender and said support groups isn't going to be a thing in this world since the transperson would just murderhobo their way into getting that fixed. That's kind of what I was trying to get at, but got distracted.
In a setting where changing your sex is no harder than buying a new set of clothes, and is universally accepted by every culture, it wouldn't be "a thing". That's why I say this book fails even for it's presumed target audience, if you think about it for even a second. The only reason "trans" is a thing is because it's not easy. It's expensive, it's time consuming, the results are imperfect at best, it alienates you from society, it comes with social and medical risks, etc etc etc. If you could go to Walgreens, pay a hundred bucks for a pill, and tomorrow wake up as the opposite sex? And nobody would say boo about it? We wouldn't even really have a concept of "transgender" being a thing, societally. You wouldn't be considered "queer", or in any other way special or remarkable. Nobody would talk about your brave struggle. There would be no kudos, no oppression points, no support groups, no coming out parties, no nothing. You would be as interesting to anyone else as someone who got a new hairstyle. Maybe something close friends talked about for a couple days, at best.
But no, here we have a whole book gushing and spurting about how TOTALLY AWESOME AND ACCEPTED AND WONDERFUL AND LEGENDARY trans people are.

Hiring someone to cast a relatively common spell of 1st or 2nd level, such as cure wounds or identify, is easy enough in a city or town, and might cost 10 to 50 gold pieces.
Honestly you need a 5th level caster though for permanency purposes, since Alter Self (the spell you're thinking of) only lasts 10 min/level. It's why that potion requires 9th level casters to make it; it splices alter-self and permanency with a focus on shifting gender.Or they can just find any low-level wizard, bard, cleric, or druid to have them cast the 1st level, permanent spell on them.
According to the 5e PHB...
No need for a potion. The material components are "a lump of wet clay and a small amount of powdered dragonshard", which is I guess an Eberron thing (God I hate Ebberon), but no cost is listed.

But again, that's not insurmountable; while 9th levels aren't the most common people to find, you can probably find one willing to do it.
CORPOREAL COMFORT
1st-level transmutation
Casting Time: 1 hour (ritual)
Range: Self or Touch
Components: V S M (a fistful of wet clay, a small amount of powdered Eberron dragonshard)
Duration: Instantaneous
Classes: Wizard, Bard, Cleric, Druid
When you cast this spell on a willing target, they are physically transformed to align with a gender identity of their choice; this can make the target more masculine, feminine, or androgynous, and can grant functional reproductive organs if the target desires. This spell does not change age or race, and does not grant any mechanical benefit.
Oh... ohoho wow that's some very /d/m tier writing; this verifies that their victimhood is just classic That Guy antics of the perverted flavor. And this actually kills the T in LGBT in 5e worlds entirely, since my comments were entirely based on 3.5/pathfinder.No no, it's a new spell in the pamphlet we're ripping on.
You should send it to mage or carse on 8ch so the file can be cleaned. Thanks for the reminder. I knew I was forgetting something.
When it comes to sales shipping is sales. Comic book stores only bring in what they order no more any less. I worked at a comic book store when I was heavy into collecting. Nothing has changed in a decade other than DCD sending out more useless garbage like extra toys or t-shirts that they know won't be thrown out and take up space until it's sold. Sometimes it'll be multiples of promotional materials such as preview comics or posters. It's get's to the point where you may as well look forward to what mystery is in the box like a blind bag unboxing. So they're lying about sales, because I don't count shipments.
