Time to update the universe list.

Edit: Jesus Christ this is a long-ass list. And it isn't as well formatted as the music list. No mentioning of the series or games the characters in question came from.
Until you get to almost the bottom of the list it's well organized. For some reason everything is out of order near the bottom.

I'm guessing that's internal organization, and as the list gets longer it lists stuff that was added later and later to the game.

Hopefully, Square seems the least cooperative with letting Nintendo play with their toys, hopefully we get a DLC that fills in a lot of their music that was left out (assuming Square gave the bare minimum for cloud and want a cut of the DLC money for the rest).

Combining both subjects, I it looks to me the only Square spirits are Geno (which I would think would be a sort of mixed rights character), cloud, and cloud alternate costume. I wonder if Square really didn't want to play ball.

I did a cursory glance, any Eternal Darkness spirits?

Yes. There's a fight with the spirit of the main protagonist of Eternal Darkness possessing Zero Suit Samus. I don't know what she does, though.

Its more the lack of any other information that's the problem; it doesn't tell us what series or game they come from (in most cases, some do have that in parenthesis beside the name), no pictures, no stats for the spirit...we don't even know what type of spirit it is, whether its a primary or support spirit. And some of these are just one word names that will be impossible to identify without guess work.

Now this is actually more useful, as you can see the spirit's picture, making it easier to identify what it is. Still not ideal, but its better.

God dammit, I had actually partly typed up a list of which series occupied which numbers on the list because I could identify some of them, then changed my mind because I thought you'd figured that out already by the time I'd post that.

Well shit. Well I was able to figure out somethings, enough to update my list of universe representation, with the help of that second list posted by @LonnieRohn. Unfortunately, the list he posted doesn't seem to be available anymore due to being trashed by its owner. But from what I can pick up:

- Helirin, Magical Vacation series, 1080 series, Wave Race, Chosoju Mecha MG, Clu Clu Land, Fluidity, HarmoKnight, Slide Adventure MAGKID, Sakura Samurai, Drill Dozer, Mii Force, and Ice Hockey will be returning universes with representation via spirits. Also, as a follow up to the music update, I overlooked Wii Play, which also has a returning song, so it too is returning.

Coupled with Universes that were confirmed via the music list (X, After Burner, Steel Diver, AR Games, Freakyforms, NES Remix), the number of returning universes has almost reached "Everyone REALLY IS HERE!" proportions. The only universes left from past games that are currently without representation are bit Generations, BIT.TRIP, Doshin the Giant, English Training, Flower Town, Thru, Warrior's Way, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, and Xevious. Also missing representation for the Nintendo Puzzle Collection which isn't generally counted among the universes, but has had stickers before.

- Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally now has confirmed Spirit representation, making it a, technically, returning universe (for some reason it is overlooked when it comes to representation, but it did have a sticker before.

- Still no Geist, as far as I can tell.

Lip got in as the sole representative of Panel de Pon. I would be surprised if Lip's Stick didn't return since it's been around since Melee.

I was thinking more along the lines of the other characters from Panel de Pon, from either the original or the updated version: Water Fairy Elias, Jewel Fairy Ruby, and Moon Fairy Seren. They were listed as being from Nintendo Puzzle Collection in Brawl and they had stickers in that game, but don't appear in this game. Though, since they are technically just Panel de Pon characters, I guess they would count towards that instead. Also, apparently Cordelia, the actual final boss of that game, does appear as a spirit, as least based on the word only Spirit list, so there is that.

So apparently there's a Cubivore Spirit in Smash and surprisingly enough, it's of that game's take on a pig.

And yes, /v/'s already assuming that Vergeben's sources were being retarded and confused said Spirit for the Minecraft content they said would be in the base game.

As if Virginben backpedaling after Pirahna Plant's announcement wasn't already funny enough! :story:

People are fucking delusional if they actually think Steve or anything Minecraft-related will be DLC.

Oh boy, two prominent YouTube channels are being taken down due to uploading music from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I had a feeling this would happen to 'em...
NINTENDO DESTROYS TWO LARGE YOUTUBE CHANNELS THAT UPLOADED SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE MUSIC

This weekend, two popular video game music Youtube channels, Crunchii and Dystifyzer, uploaded extended and original versions of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate music two weeks before the game’s launch.

Both channels have a combined total of 140,000 subscribers. As you would probably expect, Nintendo wasn’t very happy to see the music uploaded weeks before the game. Crunchii was sent 21 copyright strikes and has lost access to their Youtube channel. This means he couldn’t add, delete, or edit any videos. Both Youtube channels are expected to be taken down in 7 days, in accordance with Youtube’s policy with copyright strikes.

Some subscribers are upset to see Nintendo taking action against both Crunchii and Dystifyzer, and thanked them for their long service to the video game community. Others, however, thought they deserved it.

What do you think about this?

Also, /v/ has been making memes of Virgenben's "insiders" confusing Cubivore content for Minecraft content.

And do you know what's even funnier? Even with all the instances of him getting BTFO'd he still said there would be some form of Minecraft content in the base game until the bosses were datamined. Now he's being eerily silent regarding the whole thing.

Good. Fuck fake attention whore leakers.

Been out of loop of this whole Virgenben thing, who is this man?

Ok I'm noticing that there's a load of absolute tards complining about SmashU not having horrifically long unlock times and shitty challenges to get characters, when did people start liking the MVC2 style grind again?

I can't be the only one that hates having to unlock characters specifically in fighting games but I'm starting to feel that way from every smash conversation since a month ago.
