I heard White Vulpix is here. I am back in love.

Oh, I always planned to get this game because its awesome, I just like being a nitpicky critic with new games.

The closer we get to release, the crazier the leaks become. December cannot come any sooner.

The jeuxvideo.com/LaPailleDor Leaks just got more interesting (for the source of the info, see here). Since I reported the leaks here, I'll provide an update to them that goes as follows (quoting the wiki page I linked to):

On September 22nd, 2018, LaPailleDor made a thread on 4chan, proving his identity and claiming that the mod lied about the leak being fake. He went on to state:

  • Skull Kid, Medusa from Kid Icarus, Ayumi Tachibana, Ninten from EarthBound Beginnings, and Reimu Hakurei from Touhou Project are all playable fighters.
  • 0² (albeit referred as "Zero-Two") from Kirby and Kyurem from Pokemon are all bosses.
  • There is new version of Poke Floats stage with more Pokemon.
  • The ability to change the design of Battlefield, Big Battlefield and Final Destination stages to the designs from Smash 64, Melee, Brawl, for 3DS/Wii U, and Ultimate has been added.
Now for my take: I'm not sure what to make of this. On the one hand, this leaker has been 100% right up to this point, along with others claiming that Poke Floats will be returning. On the OTHER hand, Reimu seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Skull Kid is expected. Medusa, I can see, Ninten I can see. I can even see Ayumi, since she was actually considered for inclusion in Melee, but Reimu? I can't discount this totally; if a leaker had revealed that Cloud was going to be added to the game in 2015, I probably would have called bullshit then. As such, I can't 100% toss this aside since he's been right so far. All I can do is reserve my judgement and present the info here.

lol he blew it, Reimu in Smash is pretty much a meme

I thought the same thing about Steve from Minecraft, but you got niggas actually taking that shit seriously. Honestly, I don't know what to think anymore. This isn't even the most out there leaked character I've seen. I can't see this guy risking his credibility on a meme, and with Sakurai, I count nothing out at this point. I can even believe that madman got Banjo Kazooie in if somebody said he did.

How can Medusa be a Smasher? Wasn't that enemy in Kid Icarus a giant face and eyeball in the wall, and not a Gorgon as Medusa is typically portrayed?

I hope there's Metroid Prime style Meta Ridley costume for him. He looks weird with such human proportions to me.

I mean that's nice but it's still clearly regular Ridley. I liked the first prime game's version where his anatomy has as much in common with a wasp as a dragon or a human. Was creative. In fact despite having started Metroid with the SNES, I prefer Retro's art style in general. Their pirates were freaky before they had to start conforming more to the Japanese studio with the release of the GBA games.
