I like how K. Rool's final smash is the game over screen from DK64

His moves are also references to his battles from past DK games. Throwing his crown was from DKC, firing a blunderbuss was from DKC2, flying with those mini propellers was from DKC3, and punching with a boxing glove was from DK64.

You gotta give these developers some credit, they have a keen attention to detail with these characters.

Now that Ridley, Simon, and K. Rool are in the roster, the only thing that could make this game even better would be if the following could make it in as well:

-The Elite Beat Agents
-Rayman
-Crash Bandicoot
-Spyro the Dragon
-Banjo-Kazooie

If Cloud Strife could make it into the series, then characters who started out on Nintendo consoles (Banjo & Kazooie), are exclusive to Nintendo (Elite Beat Agents), and have had multiple games on different Nintendo systems (Rayman, Crash, & Spyro) should have a good chance of getting in as well.

You know what, just for the hell of it, I'd like to see Dark Souls represented in some form in Ultimate (playable character, stage, anything). The games are great, and a port of DS Remastered is coming to the Switch later this year, so why not? Again - if Cloud Strife can be in the series, that opens a lot of doors for other franchises.

From Minor universes that have been represented in Smash Bros before, by stickers, trophies, Music, and Mii Fighter costumes, but not playable characters, stages, assist fighters, items or enemies:

- Wonder-Red, from The Wonderful 101 (ditto)

I suspect that if Wonder-Red makes it in as a playable character, the rest of the Wonderful 100 (Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, White and Black) get included as Red's alternate costumes, similar to the Koopalings' role as Bowser Jr.'s alternate skins.

That would explain why there are two version of Castlevania 64 and no one like to talk about the first one

Yeah and the problems of the second one, though a bit of an improvement, axed a planned character in place of a knight, and they didn’t add the whip swinging and the rest of Carrie and Malus’ plot. Nor any of the planned RPG elements neither, and at least the werewolf guy made it to the Castlevania fighting game. I kinda hope that wolf dude gets included in a Smash game since his appearances were in Nintendo games.

Young Link vs. Giant Dad.

Honestly i just want travis touchdown for shits and giggles

I'm too outwardly cynical and sarcastic to ever genuinely be hopeful most of the time, but there's a small burning part of me that still wants Zero to be in the game, despite them showing him off as an assist trophy.

Might seem farfetched, and it totally is, but as someone that's been on the Megaman teat since birth, I can't help but wonder where the representation for this game is in Smash.

Like, for fuck's sake, Megaman Star Force got representation in a Final Smash and a Trophy, but nothing referencing the Zero games? Weak Nintendo. Pretty weak.

Maybe they get folded into the X series because there's only 4 in that series? IDK, just a guess. I wouldn't mind seeing Cyber-Elves as an item/sticker or a Dr. Weil trophy. Or Pantheons as enemies in Smash Run/Adventure mode/whatever

I still say Chrono Trigger characters should be included, since they unlike Cloud, appeared in two Nintendo games(thrice if you count the visual novel for the Wonder Swan). Besides since they have the same design as the ones from Dragon Ball, this could be the closest we get, and would probably quell those wanting Goku in.

Square is cooperating somewhat, but they're kicking and screaming the whole time. In Smash 4, we only had two Final Fantasy songs and no trophies other than Cloud and the stage hazards. Looking at the music listing in this Direct, it reveals that there's still only two Final Fantasy songs. It's starting to look like Cloud is the best we're going to get.

That being said, if Square decides to start actually play nice, Geno isn't a particularly unlikely character. Especially considering that third parties are now double dipping in Ultimate and getting two or even three of their franchises in.

And still with Geno as a playable character the community would REEEEEEEEE about Waluigi or any other character requested less than Geno...
