I've actually took a look into LaxChris' channel, and I've screencapped all of his uploads just for this thread.

This is literally all this channel has ever upload, and it appears to be a channel that was created almost as soon as the game was announced (at least, as Smash Bros. Ultimate).

This is not a man, but a mere husk that had exchanged its soul for a few measly views on a soon-to-be-forgotten channel.
 
It's been months since Ashley has been de-confirmed amongst others and the rage and crying still hasn't died down. What kind of pathetic existance must these people live if all they wish for, week after week, month after month and year after year is to see their underage waifu in some Japanese game for normies?
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if sakurai is keeping himself looking young by moisturising his skin in the salty tears of the *Insert videogame character* fans

The amount of clickbait on his channel shows that the guy doesn't have any credibility. It's obvious he's cashing in on the hype and milking it for all it's worth.

Don't worry, there's going to be plenty of unjustified salt over...
  • Shadow the Hedgehog getting in
  • The Chorus Kids from people over at GameFAQS
  • Banjo & Kazooie from weebs that are guaranteed to get pissed at the site of a non-japanese character
  • Isaac being another swordfighter
  • Mach Rider from people who don't know who she (yes, it's a she) is.
  • Shantae not being in the roster (bonus points if she's an assist trophy
  • No sign of Skull Kid
  • Also no sign of Incineroar, proving that Verbegan "leak" to be full of shit and lucky guesses.
In fact, no matter what happens, even if this ends up being false, there will still be endless salt, considering what community we're talking about here.

I'm extremely skeptical of this, and a lot of that is due to Banjo's inclusion. Banjo's technically owned by Microsoft, and I'm not so sure I buy them allowing Nintendo to use Banjo.

If he ends up in the game, great, that would be a nice surprise. But I don't really see it happening at this juncture.
 
There were a handful of Rare GBA games after the Microsoft purchase, one of which was a (crappy) BK game. Geno would be more surprising imo given square's deathgrip on the parts of Mario RPG that they own.
Wouldn't be upset at all if that leak was real though. There's a lot of room for interesting movesets there.
 
Banjo in Smash also seems more believable when you know that the head of XBox, Phil Spencer, approves of the idea.

It's weird that Microsoft would allow it but they could be looking at it as free promotion and a way to gauge interest in the IP. If there's enough interest they might just outsource the development of a 3rd game to devs who knows how to make a 3D platformer like the Hat in Time guys.

Microsoft seems to know that keeping Rare out of the picture when revising old IP is key. I doubt Rare is developing the new Battletoads.

I'm just seeing salt on both sides. I personally believe that it's fake, but mainly because I believe it's a red herring. Well, that and the Vergeben leak.

It's not worth investing time into arguing with people so I just sit on the sidelines.
 
Remember when Andre said they don't wanna get political at Gamexplain? Lol I guess that was bullshit.
 
When I heard Grinch leak I thought that they were going to make him a character in Smash Brothers. I don't know if this is better or worse
