That kind of characters seem to be kinda popular, or at least they used to be



I guess in the end, the whole thing about American Ridley is just a lighthearted joke, certainly is far better than REEEEEing in social media because a Waifubait character didn't get included as a playable character in the game

You need to understand smt fans hate persona fans with a passion due to persona killing a bunch of atlus series (rip raidou, digital devil saga, devil survivor and devil summoner)
Adding a smt rep is just a shitstorm waiting to happen from all sides, bonus points if its a shitty doi design and not a flower man design

He was (is,nobody really knows anymore) both the main designer and one of the directors for all megami tansai games, until the change of management came along during persona 3 production and he decided to let someone else design the series (doi) while he focused on his idols manga, he helped writte and design some parts of smt 4 and apocalypse but nobody really knows what he does anymore, the common joke is that he lives on a flower field because the man loves his flower fields

Well I unfortunately doubt that anyone from the original smt series would come, since the persona series has been more mainstream especially in recent times with p5
 
Now that smt has been brought up, I'd love either nanashi or dagda to be playable. Mostly just so people can rage that it wasn't Ashley instead and also to hear the awesome soundtrack remix's.

I sincerely doubt they would dare bring up characters from 4/apocalypse seeing as how those games bought massive shitstorms both in and outside atlus
They will most likely use the doom marine,the new protagonist from smt 5 or the jack frost and pyro jack combo
But i doubt nintendo would put a smt rep in the first place

Mostly about how atlus forced the persona team to work with the smt main dev team and it made the 2 groups even more hostile against each other
And mostly the reception of 4 and apocalypse in japan
If i get some time off later i will put the news article talking about the devs situation, seeing as how not many people reported on that story

Reminder that one of All Might's special moves is literally called "United States of Smash".

As well for a Monster Hunter rip off game and two of those Music Games. Cloud only is in Smash Bros, because he is the most iconic to western fans. Them being mainly ones who only saw his brooding behaviour from Advent, which he never had in Crisis Core or Final Fantasy VII. Most people dismiss Advent Children for ruining their favourite characters' personalties.

Shantae is another own on her right, since she has a small, yet loud fanbase that wants her in every crossover, but I think her creator and Wayforwards are kind of picky where and what she appears in. She appeared in the Intis/Sunsoft Collab, Blaster Master Zero and Runbow. Most creators of something will say "no" if someone asks them to have their character shown or used. Kind of like how I hear that Toby Fox isn't really fond of his creations being in cameos.
