I am in a server and some person is piss mad that Shovel Knight is an Assist Trophy. I mean. I get that SK is pretty much shoe horned in every place now.

Yet in some animo. People are moaning that other Indies should get in.

Phenomenal how a person can genuinely be upset that a classic and celebrated series gets representation whereas a side character who has appeared in four games about minigame collections gets exactly the representation they deserve. There's five characters in the same series who are more iconic.
 
Jesus Christ all this butthurt man. I watched the Nintendo Direct with absolute glee; I haven't been this excited for a new game in a long time. Ultimate's doing damn near everything in its power to cater to fans, especially those who grew up with the series and that's still not good enough for these unpleasable shitheads.

Why i don't get is, why Ashley of all people? i mean, i never played a Wario Ware game before, but as far as i know, there are like a dozen characters in Wario Ware, what makes Ashley more deserving to be in Smash as a playable character above everyone else? hell, at least Waluigi has appeared in most Mario Spinoffs for almost 20 years

Now with Shovel Knight as an assist, i bet there are a lot of people who are demanding Sans and Freddy Fazbear to be in the game :c

Nothing.

Ashley was introduced only in the third (fourth, counting the remake) game whereas almost the entire rest of the cast was in the series since the first game. It's also an intentional character trait that she has no interactions with the other characters or overarching story of the games. It's a surprise she's even an assist trophy, but even that isn't good enough for these people who want a prepubescent magical girl as a character.

You know that irritating persona that edgy teenage goth girls put on where they pretend they have magical powers and threaten people with them? Combine that with Wednesday Addams and a catchy themesong. She’s like the female tween analogue to Reaper from Overwatch.

I now don't mind about whatever they put in Smash now that Chad K. Rool is in it. These guys need some more appreciation in life.

Just remember that some idiot whines about a female character getting the assist trophy treatment (ie Lyn, Krystal, and Ashley), their just pissed that they can't play as their waifus.
Though Ashley fags get bonus fail points for having an edgy underage waifu.
 
I would love to see smash players try that one extremely unbalanced sailor moon fighting game, seeing as how they complain about OP characters so much.
 
The neckbeards are gonna have to suck it up with Simon/Richter, Castlevania has been deserving of a character slot for the longest time and not some insignificant character like Ashley. Get mad pedoforks.

Edit:Saw the reveal trailer for Simon. His map seems like its the only one that will actually be fun. Bringing in a bunch of the classic bosses for the stage obstacles. Hopefully they put some of the DS metroidvania tracks

Everyone is either really excited about the characters revealed or are really salty about it. Meanwhile i'm over here just realizing that by including simon belmont they have reunited Captain N trio of Pit, Mega Man, and Simon Belmont.

And if Bayonetta’s really that broken, just give her a goddamn soft ban. They did it with Akuma. Is she even broken really, or does she just play in a way that is unlike the other characters ala. Akuma/Geese/Eliza in Tekken and it’s rustling the manchilren’s jimmies?
