Not sure any site ever did that, but: allow to choose what part of the post you are reacting to (you still only can react to a post once), to prevent nice takes from being lost because the other half being a smug anime girl or w/e prevented it from accruing positive rates.

Works by adding an option to the Quote selection popup, maybe? As you click "React to" there, your page focus moves to regular rates menu, but you are only rating the chunk selected. We WILL get retards specifically rating new suses and 67s, but they will, atleast, not bog down threads by quoting it.

You see rates applying through the total rating list somehow (maybe part of the post lights up).

I know you need none of this and people will quote nice part and feature that, but sometimes, you need people to know what, exactly, is a single nice line in their shit post.

Hell, maybe introduce a separate pearl-in-the-coal rate to use just for that.
Why not also add a sub-comment feature like that found in YT or Reddit or even an annotate feature where you only react to a specific part of a paragraph and your reply is contained to the post you reacted rather than shitting up the main thread with minor comments? But this would take on a fractal nature of comments within comments ad infinitum so hopefully the servers could handle this. And this would change the site too much so why not make a test forum for this first?

Can we get a "Random Post" button? I've asked this before and it got a lot of positive reception, so I think it would be a worthy addition

If this is somehow possible to do I think it would be hilarious to have a bot that's running on the fruitfly brain map thing randomly crawl the site and write positive or negative comments depending on what it is commenting on. Please erverlord I want to know what a fruitfly thinks about Indians, trannies and other undesirable groups.

Ps: I think ifunny did something very similar with a bot that compiles random comments and spits out a combination of whatever comments it found back out.

Could we have monthly photoshop contests? The winner is decided by amount of positive stickers and gets a special badge or something. And have a separate one for AI content.
On SA those were ran by users, you'd basically need someone to bother.

Might we have a separate thread for political/economic/AnH related Happenings?
ComHaps is fine as is, but is also constantly being shat up by agendaposters shilling their partisan 🗿 snca 🗿, I scroll that thread to keep tabs on what is happening with lolcows not what drumpf decided to xeet about this morning, it would be a much better read if the streams weren't crossed.

The main idea of this specific forum is that you teach things you have learned, such as playing basic chess, even how to remove a spywere from your computer, there is no specific theme for tutorials, it can be all legal according to the law, this is the basic proposal of my idea.

Another thing I would like to add is that if you create about the same tutorial your topic is deleted so you can see tips, new tutorials all day so learning new things every day leaving the farm a little more welcoming place for new shipments of kiwis could just leave this forum on off-topic it's not an impressive idea but I just wanted to leave it as a possibility.

The idea is another concept for you from the kiwi farms team to pick up and change some rules and other things but without ruling out too much the idea of tutorial and step-by-step guides and as if it were the Q&A but already with the answers you can contribute with more information on treand.

you can post how-tos in I&T.

Something I think would be really useful. Especially with the forums no double posting rule is letting people add in quoted messages or replies.

Lets say I wrote a reply in a thread, while I was doing that, someone else replied, and I want to add in something concerning that new message. Right now the choices are double post to do a proper reply, do a quote with an @ in it, or manually edit in the bb code to do a reply. I think if you could just do use the normal insert quotes button it would cut down on at least a portion of double posting.

I had an idea for the Tartarus login check. It might be nice for the people who have trouble with it, but only on one device, if you could do a 2-factor like thing that sends you a DM to your KF account and as long as you can read it on another logged-in device you can enter that code to bypass only the Tartarus check, still require your standard password and 2fa if enabled.

I'm not sure of the risk profile for that but I was thinking of that as the horrible hotel wifi failed 3 times before it worked and I had to browse on my phone.

IDK how difficult it would be to get it performant and secure at scale, but with the recent issues getting people to contribute content I humbly resubmit my idea of a test forum where comments are nested inside of top-level posts and the top level posts are filtered to only be content-bearing. Claude could shit out something like that in a few days though I've never built a Claude thing that works at scale so idk if it's reasonable to do it as an experiment.

By separating content and commentary and making content more visible, people who want to be heard will be structurally motivated to post content. Replies will require a person to expand a collapsed dingaling, so they can be more easily ignored or filtered through.

Re: the filtering out non-content at the top level of the stack, idk what API prices are like but a low level AI like Claude Haiku could run a "content or shitpost" pass to ease the moderation burden with an appeals process that kicks up to a Sonnet level agent. That or you could use links/images as the filter and allow users to flag non-content though that would probably be destroyed by misuse.

Probably wouldn't play nice with Xenforo and idk anything at all about the backend; maybe you could run it as a sort of emulated fronted packed into like a widget so it's not actually Xenforo and the Xenforo stuff is just a box around it that controls inflow and outflow for security stuff? Like those new passthrough mods that let you be Mario in Elden Ring by running Mario 64 and Elden Ring at the same time and communicating between them where they overlap? But I'm not a programmer I just vibe code.

The banner that is generated when someone features a post with an image would be better if it automatically centered on the image. Or even gave an option of where to display. Because here we see the top of OnlyusemeBlade's hat. But it would be a lot better banner if we could see his face.

Can we get support for the AVIF image format?

I'm encountering it more and more frequently across the web and the site doesn't currently support it as a image format for posting.

Thank you.

Add more degrees of magnitude (positive/very positive/mega-based etc) to the positive/negative reaction score on user profiles based on amount and ratio so I can have the site glaze me increasingly harder for making high-quality posts and not being hated by half the forum.
