I am really interested to know the limits of their cognitive dissonance/loyalty after they stare into the 1k+ page abyss and see the sunken cost of their donations laid bare before them.

When I was in elementary school, a friend slept over at my house once. At some point after he was asleep he started shaking quite a bit, but his body was also pretty stiff at the same time, just kind of bent a bit at the waist. But there was a considerable amount of rocking and shaking going on. I asked him about it after he woke up and he said he gets seizures sometimes but didn't remember it happening. Maybe because he was asleep? I think he may have had meds that are supposed to help. I forget. That was the first time I ever heard tell of seizures though.

Dude, you had other things going on, and a certain type of foundation to be in NYC in 1998 (hi!) or the Valley. People without those things usually find the bottom as their whole life a lot faster. NOT saying productive people don't fuck up their lives or spiral out due to booze; they absolutely do. But if you're an achiever, the things to slam into on the way down are more than for many and will check you. People with no rungs on the side of the hole slip farther faster.

People like you (and me, ngl) have more big speed bumps and flashing warning lights so that even if we grow up to be "functionals", or get checked and rein it in before then, 95/100 pull up - if not all the way, at least enough of the way. Contrast to [a much lower number for people with few or no driving standards & rewards]/100.

Biltong guy is going to be an interesting one to keep an eye on. Styx doesn't really have a Gator Gamer equivalent so a well meaning doofus who goes out of his way to start a GFM is the best we have. That guy throwing up his hands and quitting will be a big milestone in Tarl's journey of self destruction.
 
I've been working on a few Styx ai cover songs to add to the thread soundtrack. I've had to retrain the voice model a few times so the quality definitely varies, but I'm getting it closer to sounding like his actual "singing" voice. Here is the first cover I made when I was inspired by his nonstop suicide baiting and talk of impending doom. He still has time to repent.
