Is she wrong though? Belting a child's bare ass is kind of weird and definitely outdated. It's also illegal in some states.

If the child knows better it is best to reason with them, and if they do not know better, why punish them physically?

Corporal punishment is useless anyways. You know what being spanked as a kid taught me? To avoid detection when I did things I wished to do that were verboten. I am awfully good at it. I guess this turns intelligent people into chaotic neutrals, so to speak.

My poor decision to not take the stand in my own defense is the only reason I was convicted. Tossing a phone is not assault and battery under any logical definition. If that were the case then damn I have been a victim of domestic battery like twenty times. But I am not inclined to call the police on people unless there is some particularly grave reason.

Samantha was not even the one who called the police, it was the hotel staff. She is blameless in this instance.

That they would later have to move with giant ash trucks because I was bored and also repeatedly accidentally set the woods on fire with illegal fireworks and used to. I've never been accused, much less convicted of domestic assault.
